There’s some pretty crazy stuff happening in the world but, with all the protests going on, some people are looking to be distracted by some good ‘ole hip-hop news. If you’re a fan of Tekashi 6ix9ine — and even if you’re not but you enjoy reading about him — we’ve got you covered.

Shortly after revealing that his new single and music video would be delayed for the third straight week, this time because it would not be appropriate to release new music with everything going on, Tekashi 6ix9ine’s timetable for complete freedom may have been cleared up by his significant other.

Sharing a new thirst-trappy photo to her page, Jade, Tekashi’s girlfriend, wrote a caption that seems to reveal when her main man will be released from house arrest, finally allowed to remove the ankle monitor.

“House Arrest Day #627 57 more days,” she wrote. Does that mean that 6ix9ine will be able to freely roam the streets in less than two months?

The timetable seems to make sense, given the fact that he was originally supposed to be released from prison in around August. Even when he’s granted the freedom to exit his home, it would probably be smart for him to stay put for the next little while, you know, for his safety. Unless he’s considering a move to a different state or country altogether.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is making his fans an offer: if his post showing off his house arrest ankle monitor gets to 500,000 comments, he’ll drop a new music video next week. As you very well know, 6ix9ine has been on one since making his official comeback last week. He’s been involving himself in tons of drama, creating new beef and reigniting old feuds left and right. However, he’s also been busy promoting his new single, “GOOBA,” which dropped last Friday (May 8th) along with some colourful visuals. “GOOBA” managed to break a handful of records on Youtube, and now, 6ix9ine wants to give his fans another new video this upcoming Friday.

6ix9ine posted the photo in question on Saturday (May 16th), demonstrating his flexibility as he attempts to lick his right toe. Just above his foot is an ankle monitor which would have been issued to him when he was released early from prison and put on house arrest.

It’s worth noting that 6ix9ine already promised his fans a new single and video using a different negotiating tactic: if “GOOBA” got to No. 1 on the Billboard charts, he’d drop some new music. However, since it looks like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber will be taking the No. 1 spot this week with their collab, “Stuck With U”—a projection which 6ix9ine himself suspects is a result of Billboard “manipulating the charts”—the no-longer-rainbow-haired rapper had to resort to other measures in order to continue his comeback era.

It hasn’t even been twenty-four hours since Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from prison but, already, he’s plotting out his next moves.

During the time he was locked up, it was revealed that the controversial Brooklyn rapper had signed a new multi-million deal with 10K Projects and, now that he has been granted permission to serve the remainder of his sentence on home confinement, he is getting to work on a couple of new albums.

Hours after news broke of 6ix9ine’s release, Complex spoke to the rapper’s lawyer Dawn Florio, who confirmed that he is allowed to work on new music while on house arrest. He also may be returning to social media soon.

“What he’s gonna do is, he already has that advance for 10K Projects,” says Florio. “So he has to put out a Spanish album and an English album. So that’s what he’s going to be working on.”

Because he already has the advance from the label, 6ix9ine will reportedly need to deliver both albums promptly, which Florio echoed.

“He already got an advance for all those millions of dollars. So he’s gotta put out those two albums as soon as possible,” she added.

While the Brooklyn native will likely not be restricted from using social media, his page will be monitored heavily and trolling will not be tolerated. His posts must be in good taste.

It was only a matter of time before we learned of Tekashi 6ix9ine's early release from prison and, finally, that moment has arrived.

As reported by Inner City Press, who has been following the court case for months, Judge Paul Engelmayer has approved the early release of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine as a direct result of the coronavirus outbreak.

The star had originally appealed for his release, which was denied by the Bureau of Prisons. When presenting his case a second time, it was approved by the feds before the Judge co-signed the order and allowed him to leave.

This doesn't mean that 6ix9ine is completely off the hook though.

The rapper will spend the first four months on supervised release with a GPS monitor. He will not be allowed to leave the home unless he received permission from the court to see a doctor.

It is currently unclear if the recording artist has contracted COVID-19 or if his release is simply as a precaution. The rainbow-haired star has asthma and is considered "at-risk" of catching hard symptoms from the illness. His attorney previously said that he was having "shortness of breath."

Tekashi 6ix9ine was locked up on racketeering charged, getting caught up with the Nine Trey Bloods gang. He notoriously provided information to the feds throughout the trial, resulting in a lightened sentence for him.

Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s plea to the court to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest to reduce his chances of contracting coronavirus has been denied by the judge, but there may be another way that the rapper can be released early. On Monday, we reported that 6ix9ine was fearing for his life behind bars, as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continues to rise within the New York prison system. According to his lawyer, Lance Lazarro, the rapper possesses a higher risk of contracting the virus, as he has multiple pre-existing conditions that render him more vulnerable to becoming infected. Last Halloween, 6ix9ine was diagnosed with bronchitis and sinusitis, which ultimately led him to be hospitalized.

Because of his client’s medical conditions, Lazarro implored Judge Paul Engelmeyer that 6ix9ine, who is set to be released in August, be granted early release from prison under the condition that he serve the remainder of his sentence under house request. In the letter sent to Judge Engelmeyer, Lazarro also noted that 6ix9ine has been experiencing shortness of breath—one of the primary symptoms of coronavirus—and that the prison facility’s doctor had recommended he be treated at a hospital, only for the warden to deny him that freedom.

Despite Lazarro’s efforts, though, Judge Engelmeyer has denied the request. According to legal documents, the court actually lacks the legal authority to grant the request in the first place. However, while Judge Engelmeyer may not be able to do 6ix9ine any favours, he suggested that Lazarro instead file the request with the Bureau of Prisons. Engelmeyer insisted that, at the time of sentencing, he would have directed that 6ix9ine’s final four months be served in home confinement had he known back then that a global pandemic would ensue to which 6ix9ine’s medical conditions would make him particularly vulnerable. According to TMZ, Lazarro believes that Judge Engelmeyer’s sympathetic response “is a strong recommendation to the Bureau of Prisons to release him immediately,” and thus plans to file the request with the BOP promptly. For the better part of last year, Baton Rouge rapper Youngboy Never Broke Again was unable to perform after being forced to stay in his home, being sentenced to house arrest for violating the terms of his probation. His probation has since been revoked but, if it were up to the 20-year-old, he likely wouldn’t have even been booking shows because he was apparently making millions of dollars during his time off.

In a new video shared by several media outlets, including on DJ Akademiks’ page, NBA Youngboy can be heard speaking about his time on house arrest, recalling a conversation where he was asked if he was present at a particular venue for a performance.

“I ain’t performed in so long. I think that was you who asked me that yesterday, am I out here to perform? I told that n***a, ‘fuck no,'” said YB. “I really done made millions of dollars while being on house arrest. They done showed me that I could make millions of dollars by not going on stage and performing. Now I feel like, ‘man, what the fuck I gotta go on stage for in front of all them people?'”

While this likely was not meant as a diss to his fans, some are perceiving it as such. After all, there are millions of people around the world who would jump at the opportunity to see the young star perform live. Others believe that he has a point. If he’s making coin solely from his studio releases, why would he waste his energy going on stage when he can just continue dropping albums and counting his paper?

Tekashi 6ix9ine was pleading with the judge to let him serve the rest of his sentence from home. The rapper was hit with a 24-month sentence for his involvement in the gun and drug case last year with time served. In recent times, he asked the judge if he could go home because he feared for his safety behind bars. Judge Paul Englemayer said the prison term is “necessary in this case … [to] reflect the seriousness of his crimes.”

The rapper might still be able to get out this summer as it was previously reported but his girlfriend Jade hit the ‘Gram with something to say. Sharing a recent photo of the two, she aired out the Nine Tr3y Bloods, Sara Molina — the mother of 6ix9ine’s daughter — and the general public for clowning him for snitching. She even went as far as comparing the rapper to Sammy The Bull.

“They kidnapped you , they had sex with the mother of your child , they get caught on the phone trying to kill you & their stealing millions of dollars from you,” she wrote. ” If you snitch , for the rest of your life people are gonna try to kill you for being a rat but if you don’t snitch , you’re doing 47 years in prison where they’re gonna kill you anyway because they were already talking about it . Sammy the Bull kills 19 people and gets 5 years . You kill no one and gets 2 years . This shit is so fucked up.”

As she continued to show her man support and called for his freedom, she also decided to flaunt the fact that he’s 13x platinum ad 8x gold. 

Molina clearly caught wind of the comments and blasted Jade for even bringing her name up. “Imagine sleeping with a n***a while he still with his baby moms, ending up with the n***a but you still mentioning me for what,” she wrote. “He not hugging you or kssing you boy look like he’s dead inside standing right next to you. You the only one that looks happy dummy.” Peep the post below.
