With the NFL season about five months away, teams throughout the league are looking at creative ways to market themselves ahead of the new season. One of those ways is through rebrands. Some teams do it right, while others fail miserably. One of the best ways to drum up excitement for your team is by switching up the uniforms and giving fans something new and exciting to look at. Not to mention, creating new jerseys forces fans into buying new merch to keep up with the times. If you're a sports franchise, new uniforms are almost always a huge win.
The Indianapolis Colts understand this better than anyone and today, they unveiled their brand new jerseys. Upon looking at these, you might think that nothing has changed. Once you take a closer look, you realize that the Colts decided to go with a more subtle approach.
In the tweet above, it is explained that the Colts changed up the number font, as well as the typing on the "Colts" writing at the front of the helmet. Not to mention, the Colts have revamped the Nike swoosh that appears on the shoulders.
Overall, these uniforms are pretty clean and stay in line with the team's blue and white tradition. If you're a fan, you really can't be mad at these.
Philip Rivers Officially Signs With New Team, Contract Revealed
Philip Rivers will be playing for a team not named the Los Angeles Chargers for the first time in his career.
Philip Rivers will forever be considered a legend in the state of California. While he never won the Chargers franchise a Super Bowl, he is still considered to be one of the best quarterbacks they have ever had. A few weeks ago, Rivers announced that he would be moving on from the Chargers and would be looking to continue his career elsewhere. He still has plenty of gas in the tank and while he may be on the decline, he can still help out a team in need.
After some rumors early in the day, it was announced that Rivers would be signing with the Indianapolis Colts. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the deal is worth $25 million and will only last for one season. This gives Rivers a nice trial period with the team and if things don't go well, both sides can move on as if nothing happened.
There is poised to be an increase in quarterback movement over the next few days. Tom Brady, Cam Newton, and Jameis Winston could all be changing teams within the matter of a couple of days. With this in mind, keep it locked to HNHH as we will bring you all of the latest updates.
Philip Rivers’ Rumored Free Agency Decision Revealed
NFL insider reports that Philip Rivers' free agency decision has been made: the deal is "all but done."
Long time Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is reportedly taking his talents to the AFC South, following his 16-year run on the West Coast. According to NFL insider Matt Miller, a source close to the situation claims that Rivers to the Indianapolis Colts is "all but done."
During an interview with CBS Sports last month, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon explained why he felt the Colts, a team with a top tier offensive line, are the best fit for Rivers.
"I think he'll go to the Colts. I don't know, that's just my thought. He has Nick (Sirianni) there, the (OC), he came from here. They run the same playbook, so it'd be easy, he could come right in....That's probably the best fit."
Nick Sirianni, who spent five seasons alongside Rivers as a member of the Chargers, is the current offensive coordinator for the Colts. Furthermore, Rivers has some familiarity with Colts head coach Frank Reich as well. Reich spent three seasons with the Chargers from 2013-2015, including a season as a quarterback coach and two as the offensive coordinator.
Rivers, 38, ranked fourth in the NFL in passing yards last season with 4,615 but he also threw 20 interceptions to his 23 touchdowns, as the Chargers finished the year with a 5-11 record. The Colts, meanwhile, finished 7-8 with Jacoby Brissett under center, following the unexpected retirement of Andrew Luck.

During an interview with CBS Sports on Monday morning, Gordon explained:
"I think he'll go to the Colts. I don't know, that's just my thought. He has Nick (Sirianni) there, the (OC), he came from here. They run the same playbook, so it'd be easy, he could come right in....That's probably the best fit."
As mentioned by Gordon, Nick Sirianni, who spent five seasons alongside Rivers as a member of the Chargers, is the current offensive coordinator for the Colts. Furthermore, Rivers has some familiarity with Colts head coach Frank Reich as well. Reich spent three seasons with the Chargers from 2013-2015, including a season as a quarterback coach and two as the offensive coordinator.
The Colts finished 7-9 last season behind backup QB Jacoby Brissett, who was thrust into the starting role when Andrew Luck abruptly retired just weeks before the start of the season.
Rivers, 38, led the Chargers to a 5-11 record last year, throwing for 4,615 yards (fourth in the NFL) with 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He hasn't missed a single start since taking over as the Chargers starting QB back in 2006.
Colin Cowherd Reveals Where Tom Brady Should Play Next: Watch
This would upset some people.
Tom Brady is nearing the end of his career although he is adamant he still has three or more seasons left in the tank. Brady wants to play until he is at least 45 even though he hasn't been his normal, usual self in the pocket. His struggles have some people speculating that he won't be on the Patriots next season. Brady has played with the team for 20 years now and seeing him in another jersey would truly be bizarre. Regardless, many pundits have begun fantasizing about where he should go next.
Fox Sports 1 host Colin Cowherd is one of those pundits who is theorizing about Brady's next move. In the clip below, Cowherd attempts to explain why Brady should actually go to the Indianapolis Colts.
“Brady now is going to lose his offensive coordinator [Josh McDaniels],” Cowherd said. “He already lost Gronk, New England hasn’t addressed that, he’s struggling with young receivers… Think of what they [Indianapolis Colts] have for Tom Brady. When Peyton Manning was a free agent and he was old, and he’d been banged up, where did he go? To a team that had weapons, an offensive line and a structure he trusted.”
When Manning was in Indy, the Colts were the Patriots' biggest rival. If Brady were to go there, he would be betraying a large part of the Patriots fanbase. While a move to Indy would be unlikely, it would certainly make for a phenomenal story line.
