This past week has been tumultuous on a global stage. On January 3rd, President Donald Trump ordered a strike on Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, a high ranking military officer; the attack left Soleimani dead, and significantly ramped up tensions between the U.S. and the Middle East. In response, many took to the streets in protest, and Donald Trump proceeded to threaten a swift and decisive retaliation should Iran move to seek revenge. Last night, Iran did exactly that — a report from CNN confirmed that Iran launched missile strikes at U.S. bases in Iraq, leaving no confirmed casualties.

On the same day that U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation, Cardi B took to Instagram to speak her mind. Sharing a Nightline clip of a distraught Iranian man, Cardi took a harsh stance against Trump, deeming him to be a “terrorist.” In the clip, the emotional man asks what Iranians should be expected to do. “We love Americans but we hate your President,” he says, his voice breaking.
“Voice of Iranians,” writes Cardi, in the accompanying caption. “They not terrorist. Trump is.” It’s not the first time Cardi has expressed distaste for Donald Trump, and it likely won’t be the last. As of now, she has yet to acknowledge the latest statement on the Iranian missile strike, which can be viewed here. In it, Trump addressed the people and leaders of Iran, stating “we want you to have a future, a great future, one that you deserve. One of prosperity and home and harmony with the nations of the world. The United States is ready to embrace peace with all who seek it.”
Tory Lanez Offers Thought-Provoking Take On Donald Trump & Iran War
Tory Lanez thinks Trump's airstrike was conducted with the 2020 election in mind.
Tory Lanez might not be affected by the current threat of war looming between the United States and Iran because of his Canadian nationality but the superstar still decided to voice his opinion on the frightful situation. With all the WWIII memes being shared across TikTok, Twitter, and other social media platforms, Lanez offered his take on why President Donald Trump chose to attack his rivals with a drone airstrike, killing general Qasem Soleimani. In the artist's eyes, it all has to do with the threat of being booted from the White House in the upcoming election.
After Donald Trump became the third President to ever be impeached, Tory Lanez believes that he may have stooped this low to heighten his chances of re-election in the fall. He noted that he would be keeping his nose out of this drama, but that came after he let off a potential conspiracy theory.
"So basically America bout to go into war becuz it’s re-election time... and the chances of switching a president while a war is going on are slim," wrote the rapper on Twitter. "Just saying ... who the fuck am I ... but seems about right to me ... however I’m Canadian so ima stay outta this."
The Chixtape 5 singer doesn't seem too offbase. This would be the wildest thing Trump has done as President and, let's be honest, would anybody be surprised if this was actually the case?

People Are Upset Over George Lopez’s Joke About Bounty On Trump’s Head
George Lopez strikes again.
George Lopez's deep-rooted distaste for Donald Trump is well-documented. Pairing this with the actor and comedian's penchant for unfiltered takes, it's really no surprise that he'd have no problem publicly supporting the Iranian government's alleged $80 million bounty on Trump's head following the assassination of military leader Qasem Soleimani.
It was when an Instagram user posted the report of the alleged $80 million price tag that's been floating around that Lopez slid in underneath to add, "We’ll do it for half.”
At first glance, such a response can be grouped in with the number of other questionable declarations that have hit the internet since Trump's executive decision sparked widespread panic across the United States with fears of an escalation of tensions between the US and Iran. However, some users are taking to heart the apparent joke with many conservative pundits rushing to call on the Secret Service to investigate Lopez for what's being interpreted as an apparent threat to the president's life.
The counterpoint to these claims, of course, have been the return to the very frequent and routine calls for the assassination of former President Barack Obama with opposing voters often creating effigies of Obama burning and hanging from a noose during his term in office.
We'd venture to say that this will likely be another moment that comes and goes just the same, but in this climate, who knows?
Nigerian Government Responds To Cardi B’s Call For Citizenship: "Doors Are Open"
The Nigerian government is ready for Cardi's return.
The sudden fever to be anywhere but the United States in the wake of suspected aftermath of Donald Trump's latest airstrike in Iran is not immune to celebrity status, and Cardi B was among the most vocal public figures in a seemingly joking interpretation of the situation.
Saturday, the rapper took to Twitter to declare that she would be applying for Nigerian citizenship as a safety measure in the event that total war broke out between the middle eastern nation and her home country. Soon enough, however, her plea for citizenship was met with an immediate reaction from the chairman of Nigeria's diaspora commission.
"@iamcardib As one in charge of the Diaspora for Ngr, We can’t wait to receive you again," penned Abike Dabiri-Erewa in a tweet. "Our doors are open, sister. And you need to talk a walk through the Door of Return in Badagry. It’s an indescribable experience."
U.S. Drone Strike That Killed General Soleimani Shown In Released Footage: Report
The footage was released an an independant Iraqi television network.
It was revealed on Thursday that President Trump had ordered a drone airstrike on Iran that resulted in the death of the country's commander of the Quds Force, Major General Qassem Soleimani. The strike reportedly occurred at the Baghdad International Airport where Soleimani was riding in his vehicle, and now, alleged footage of the strike has been released. Per TMZ, a video from the Al-Ahed channel, an independent Iraqi television network, shows the blast occurring, though the clip has yet to be confirmed by other major news outlets as verified footage of the attack. TMZ also included a photo of the aftermath of the strike, in which a vehicle near Baghdad International Airport can be seen burning. Three rockets were said to have been launched at the site in the strike. Six people were reportedly killed in total.
The announcement of the attack and subsequent death of Soleimani on Thursday sent many U.S. citizens into a panic. Many believe that this direct targeting of the Iranian commander is sure to heighten tensions between the U.S. and the Middle East, and Iran has already promised retaliatory attacks. These fears from Americans even escalated into claims that this move would result in World War III.
Waka Flocka Sympathizes With Troops Amidst Jokes About World War 3
Waka’s not messing with the memes.
While the President of The United States tweets out threats to Iran like he’s 50 Cent trying to tear down French Montana, many are concerned about the lives put at stake due to Trump’s bravado. A U.S. airstrike has taken out the top Iranian military commander, Qassem Soleimani, and it seems inevitable that there will be some form of retaliation for this. An extreme prediction has been that things will escalate into World War 3. Twitter was quick to spin this frightful fate into jokes about draft-dodging and so on because Twitter can’t take anything seriously.
Not everyone felt this was an appropriate occasion for memes, though. Waka Flocka Flame has taken to posting inspirational quotes and random thoughts on his Instagram page. “These war memes funny and jokes until you have a friend or family member leaving for war,” Waka wrote in white text over a black background. “My heart goes out to the 7,000 soldiers leaving and I’m also praying for the people in Iran.”
Waka wasn’t the only rapper to publicly empathize with the troops. Meek Mill tweeted: “One time for the soldiers that really gotta go to war and put ya life on the line …. we from the trenches so we know the feeling of having ya life on the line 24/7 not knowing if you gone make it home!”
Meek Mill Shares Support For Troops Following Outpour Of WWIII Memes
Meek Mill takes a moment to share his appreciation for the U.S. soldiers.
We're not even a week into 2020 and things have already gone left. Following the decision to launch an airstrike on Iran, which killed a top general, Twitter went into shambles as it considered the possibilities that WWIII might be underway. Sure, the memes were initially funny but Twitter has a way of taking jokes a little too far at times and this was surely one of those times.
Meek Mill initially came in with a humorous tweet once news broke of the drone strike. "Trump sending hits involving us in some shit we ain’t got nothing to do with lol I woke up in beef today lol," he wrote. After a few days of relishing in the idea of waking up in an international feud, the rapper shared some love to the soldiers who are have continued to put their lives on the lines for the safety of Americans.
"One time for the soldiers that really gotta go to war and put ya life on the line .... we from the trenches so we know the feeling of having ya life on the line 24/7 not knowing if you gone make it home!" Meek wrote on Twitter.
The positive sentiment was overlooked by one Twitter user who took issue with Meek saying that Trump had involved the U.S. in "some shit we ain't got nothin to do with." However, Meek had a very simple response to this individual.
"Sir ... I’m from the streets where thousands of black men die everyday ... you don’t give a fuck do you ... SHUT UP! Thank you and excuse me nice meeting ya ... we not on the same frequency," he responded.

Cardi B Contemplates Moving To Nigeria After Trump-Ordered Airstrike On Iran
Cardi B calls the airstrike on Iran the "dumbest move Trump did till date."
Cardi B is no stranger to getting political. Although it's not necessarily evident in her music, she does use her social media and celebrity platforms to shed light on injustices. Sometimes, she even chimes in on political and social issues revolving the lives of everyday Americans.
So it should come as no surprise that Cardi had some thoughts on the Trump-authorized military airstrike that killed general Qasem Soleimani. The rapper hit Twitter to chime in on the matter while also delivering some quality memes to the WWIII talk. First, she acknowledged the hilarious memes before digging into the matter at hand.
"Naaaaa these memes are fuckin," she wrote alongside a slew of laughing emojis. "but shit ain’t no joke ! Specially being from New York. Its sad this man is putting Americans live in danger.Dumbest move Trump did till date ...I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship."
She added that she's "Picking my tribe." She did get in on the meme fun, sharing images of herself and her daughter Kulture in traditional Nigerian headwear.
Cardi recently performed in Nigeria and Ghana where she appeared to have a ball. While making her debut in Africa, she hit the strip clubs, where she made it rain, and also donated diapers, waters, and other supplies to an orphanage in Nigeria. Clearly, West Africa holds a special place in Cardi's heart.
Joey Bada$$ Wants No Part In Potential World War III: "I WILL NOT BE YOUR SOLDIER"
Joey Bada$$ will not be partaking in any sort of draft.
After President Donald Trump ordered a drone strike on Iran killing Qasem Soleimani, the internet is fearful that we're nearing the commencement of World War III. If you've been logged onto Twitter for even the briefest period of time this morning, you're fully aware of all the chatter surrounding Iran, a potential war, and Trump. There are plenty of memes being shared, making us giggle in the face of danger. Of course, people are worried that if a major war is declared, we will be involved in a draft and New York rapper Joey Bada$$ is already voicing his displeasure at that possibility.

Taking to Twitter to comment on the madness happening in our world, Joey Badmon apologized to the United States of America before announcing that he will have no part in the war everyone believes is imminent. "SORRY AMERIKKKA BUT I WILL NOT BE YOUR SOLIDER," he wrote. Unfortunately, Joey, like the rest of us, may not even have a say in whether or not he will fight in a potential World War III. Hopefully, we don't ever reach that point.
What do you think about the airstrike Trump ordered on Iran, and the subsequent threats uttered against the country?
