We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain’t waiting…We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd. We are a physical representation of our support for Sandra Bland. We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence.”
“I’m speaking to you from my heart. Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but f*ck that," he tearfully added. “Today is about innocent people who were halfway through their process. We don’t know what George Floyd could have achieved, we don’t know what Sandra Bland could have achieved, but today we’re going to make sure that won’t be an alien thought to our young ones.”
When news of Boyega's latest speech circulated, Jordan Peele made sure to let the actor know that his career would be just fine. Someone shared photos of Boyega holding his bullhorn and Jordan Peele retweeted the message along with a caption that read, "We got you, John." Check it out below.

Netflix has signed a new deal with John Boyega's UpperRoom Productions to deliver non-English language feature films with a focus on West and East Africa. John Boyega Welcomes Sebastian Stan To The Dark Side After Angering Fans
Sebastian Stan has the Marvel fans upset.
Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes in the Marvel films, recently reposted a tweet that seemingly criticizes the writing for Avengers: Endgame, according to Complex.
On Instagram, Stan posted a screenshot of a tweet reading, "Together until the end of the line. Or until bad, inconsistent, out-of-character writing turns Steve Rogers into his own anti-thesis. Shouldn't it be 'together until the end of the lie' now?" The complaint is regarding the ending of Avengers: Endgame, calling Rogers's action selfish and not in-line with his character.
Stan's reposting of the opinion, while it may not even be in agreement, has left fans angry with the actor.
John Boyega, who plays Finn in the new Star Wars trilogy, referred to Stan in a tweet saying, "Welcome Mr. Stan! Welcome," with a picture of the Emporer, a clear reference to the dark side. Boyega recently came under fire with fans as well.
Boyega replied to a fan about Rey, Kylo and Finn's dynamic in Star Wars: The Rise of the Jedi saying, "It’s not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe," which angered some fans.
"1917" Takes Down "Star Wars" With $36.5 Million Weekend Box Office
The Sam Mendes film takes top spot.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has finally lost its grip on the box office after almost a month at the number one spot. Sam Mendes World War I drama 1917 took the cake this weekend. According to Variety, the film, which stars Game of Thrones alumni Dean-Charles Chapman and Richard Madden and George MacKay, raked in $36.5 million from 3,434 theaters in its first weekend of wide release. Still, Star Wars is not hurting for cash. The final film in the new trilogy fell to second place, earning $15 million for a domestic haul of $478 million. Globally, Rise of Skywalker has grossed $990 million and is predicted to cross the billion-dollar mark next week. It would give Disney yet another billion-dollar film in the last 3 years.
Just Mercy, starring Jamie Foxx, Michael B Jordan, and Brie Larson, earned $10 million from 2,375 venues. The legal drama tells the true story of Walter McMillian, a man who is wrongfully convicted of murder. Foxx plays McMillian and Jordan plays Bryan Stevenson, the young attorney who helps him appeal his murder conviction. Just Mercy is generating lots of Oscar buzz and is fighting for third place with Like A Boss. Starring Tiffany Hadish and Rose Byrne, Like A Boss also generated $10 million, keeping it neck and neck with Just Mercy.
John Boyega Responds To "Star Wars" Critics With Instagram Video
Boyega doesn't care.
It doesn't look like John Boyega will be apologizing for his comments that upset Star Wars fans any time soon. The Rise of Skywalker actor sent shockwaves through the internet last week when he wrote "it's not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe" in response to fans who praised the Rey/Kylo Ren relationship. Boyega's comment caused fans to call him misogynistic and sexist, and at the time he responded by flaming kids in his comment section.
Boyega isn't done trolling his haters though. On Friday, the actor posted a video on his Instagram that features some mild Photoshop and After Effects work. In the video, Boyega pastes in some of the tweets that were aimed at him over previous footage of him doing interviews. The actor dances around the tweets hilariously, showcasing how little he cares about his critics. Check out the video below.
Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has raked in $467 million domestically and another $489 million worldwide. It looks like the movie will crack the billion-dollar mark by Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, although critics widely gave the film bad reviews. Have you seen The Rise of Skywalker? What did you think?
Here Is What Finn Was Trying To Tell Rey In "The Rise Of Skywalker"
Finn had a secret.
Obviously, spoilers for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker follow.
In the film, there is a scene where John Boyega's Finn and Daisy Ridley's Rey are trapped in quicksand. Before they meet what they believe will be their untimely death, Finn tries to shout something to Rey, "I never told you," he bellows before they are swept into an underground lair. Since Oscar Isaac's Poe was with them, Finn refuses to disclose what he was saying. Many fans believe Finn was trying to profess his love for Rey, but that isn't the case!
According to IGN, at an Academy screening of the film, director JJ Abrams told those in attendance what Finn's message for Rey was. Abrams told the crowd that Finn wanted to tell Rey he was force sensitive. We do see him exhibit the ability to use the force twice in Rise of Skywalker. First, Finn could "feel" which Star Destroyer ship was sending the leading signal out to the other ships in the final battle. During that same battle, Finn could also "feel" when Rey dies, something that only force sensitive people can do. Although the secret is out, fans are refusing to believe Abram's words, although he wrote the film.
John Boyega Angers "Star Wars" Fans With Sexual Comments Aimed At Rey
Should Finn have gotten the girl?
John Boyega, who plays Finn in the new Star Wars trilogy, got himself in trouble online recently. Now that his role in the Star Wars universe is done, Boyega is getting very brave with his comments. One mega-fan posted online, making a joke that (WARNING: SPOILERS FOR RISE OF SKYWALKER TO FOLLOW) since Kylo Ren died, Finn can have his chance to get Rey. Boyega replied in the comments, "it's not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe. You are a genius." A screenshot of his comment went viral, with Star Wars fans calling the actor sexist or misogynistic.
Boyega couldn't care less though, as he responded to the comments by doubling down on his "pipe" statement. "LAY THE PIPE. I said what I said. BYE," he replied. He also took shots at the fans who claimed they were outraged. Boyega's joke was harmless to some though, who instead claimed that outrage culture is forcing people to dig too deep into his comment. Now that the Rise of Skywalker is out and Boyega is done with the Star Wars franchise, this may not be the last time we see him let his real feelings out.
