Tokyo Jetz knows she messed up and she's holding herself accountable for it.
Earlier today, the rapper was trending on social media because of an insensitive joke she made about George Floyd's death. Hanging out with her hairstylist, she put her arms around his neck in a chokehold and said: "I'ma George Floyd your muthafuckin’ ass."
Since the video started circulating, Tokyo Jetz deleted all of the content on her Instagram page and replaced it with a single apology, addressing her fans and anybody that was offended by her tasteless joke.
"I’m sorry, I messed up big time," she wrote on the post, realizing that she made a big mistake. "Nothing excuses what I’ve said and done, but I do really want everyone to know I’m not proud of it and sincerely apologize."
In the video, the Grand Hustle artist says that herself, her son, or anybody in her family could have been the victim of such a hate crime, speaking through tears and explaining that she does not expect anybody to justify her message. She also says that she is not releasing the video to make excuses for her behavior.
Watch Tokyo Jetz apologize below and let us know if you accept her words or if she's effectively canceled to you.

Tokyo Jetz made a joke that she would "George Floyd" her hairstylist while on Instagram Live.
Our nation is in serious pain right now after the preventable deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless other people of color who have lost their lives to police brutality and racist attacks in the last several months. As protests intensify, people continue to be outraged over the treatment of people of color in the world. Nobody should be treated as though they are a second-rate human and the fight will not stop until everyone is considered equal.
Tokyo Jetz, a rapper signed to Grand Hustle, is facing some major backlash for making insensitive comments on her social media channel, broadcasting her day on Instagram Live and playing around with her hairstylist. During the Live, the rapper put her hairdresser in a headlock and made the following joke: "I'ma George Floyd your muthafuckin’ ass."
George Floyd was killed last week after a since-fired police officer kneeled on his neck, restricting his airway for several minutes. He was suspected of using a counterfeit $20 bill.
"The fact that u could even say that... @REALTOKYOJETZ shit not a joke ! CANCELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," said one person.
A number of others are standing tall as critics pick her apart for mocking the death of George Floyd, especially when so many other celebrities and people in her position have been using their platforms to uplift people of color and protest in the streets.
What do you make of what she said?
Metro Boomin Roasts Doja Cat With OnlyFans & KKK Joke
Doja Cat came under fire for a series of videos showing her interacting with alt-right, racist men in a chatroom, leading Metro Boomin to clown her.
Doja Cat has apologized for a number of videos that resurfaced this weekend, showing her involvement in multiple chatrooms where she allegedly engaged in racist, anti-Black discussions. Despite her explanation, people are still furious with the chart-topping recording artist, threatening to cancel her on Twitter.
It looks like her fanbase is dwindling in numbers as people are beginning to jump ship and you can likely count super-producer Metro Boomin among that group.
In between mixing sessions with 21 Savage for the highly-anticipated Savage Mode 2 album, Young Metro decided to chime in on the Doja Cat controversy, cracking a joke about her on his personal page.
"#onlyklans," wrote the beatmaker, adding a bunch of laughing faces on the side.
The joke is subliminal in nature but it's pretty safe to say he's laughing at Doja Cat right now. The rapper was on camera showing off her assets to some pretty skeezy individuals, leading Metro to create a new term custom for her to combine OnlyFans with the Ku Klux Klan.
Are you upset with Doja Cat right now or do you understand her explanation of the entire ordeal? Will you continue to support her after this or is she officially canceled in your books?
Travis Scott Gags Fans With Pre-Worn Socks & Joke Merch
Travis Scott came up with the most clever way to promote his new pair of Nike Air Max 270 sneakers.
At this point, Travis Scott fans will buy anything that the rapper decides to hawk as his official merchandise. The successful hitmaker is a king of the merch game, getting thousands of youthful fans decked out in the latest Astroworld offerings. Clearly, La Flame has a keen eye for design, teaming up with Nike and Jordan Brand for a number of hyped collaborations thus far. His next sneaker will be the Nike Air Max 270 and, as the release date nears, Travis felt like trolling his fans.
Sharing a link Twitter, the Houston rapper invited fans to shop at the Cactus Trails Trading Co. The website has been masterfully designed to mimic a cheaply-designed shop, offering products that you'll need on the hiking trail while wearing your new La Flame joints.
Among the new products being sold as official Travis Scott merch, fans can buy a $900 desert rug, a $345 trail guide named "Jack," an $8 bag of trail mix, a $50 vacuum that doubles as a basketball hoop, a $5,000 toy beetle, and a pre-worn pair of socks. Just what I've been hoping for!
Of course, none of these products are actually real. When you click to check out, you'll be sent to a new website (Travis' actual webshop) where official photos of the Air Max 270 Cactus Trails are found. There's also some stylish new Nike-designed gear waiting for you to cop.
You can't knock his merch hustle. This is clever. The new sneakers will be released on May 29.
Madden Bowl 2020 Champion Didn’t Throw A Single Pass All Tournament
The winner of the 2020 Madden Bowl threw zero passes all tournament.
Esports competitor Raidel “Joke” Brito won the 2020 Madden Bowl tournament without throwing a single pass during the entire tournament. In fact, Brito went as far as to select a punter for his quarterback position.

Rather than spending his allotted salary on a top tier QB, Brito went with Washington Redskins Punter Tress Way.
“We had three major events during the season that led to this tournament,” Tyler “TDAVIS” Davis, a Madden competitor and commentator, said, according to ESPN. “Joke finished fifth, third and third in those tournaments en route to winning the final tournament of the year. He was the best player by far in Madden 20. Going into this, he was arguably in the top 10 of all-time greats, and now he has to be considered in the top five ever.”
“It’s pretty cool that Joke won,” Davis said. “Almost like it was destiny.”
Some of Brito’s most important players included Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark and former NFL safety Taylor Mays.
Brito became emotional accepting his title. He dedicated the victory to his friend Taylor “SpotMe” Robertson, who was killed in the 2018 mass shooting at a Madden tournament in Jacksonville, Florida.
Brito walks away with $65,000 and the 24-karat gold plate Madden Championship Belt, featuring over 700 Swarovski rhinestones and weighing 12 pounds.

Kanye West Welcomed To The Billionaire Club By Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X joked about being excessively rich just like recently-appointed billionaire, Kanye West, by welcoming the Yeezy designer to the club.
After it was revealed by Forbes magazine that Kanye West's Yeezy brand has officially made him a billionaire, Lil Nas X teased that he was also among this elite group of excessively wealthy folks by welcoming Ye "to the club." It's not everyday that somebody becomes a billionaire, so when someone as high profile as Kanye West hits that milestone, you're sure to hear about it. On Friday, Forbes broke the news that Kanye is now, in fact, a billionaire, due largely to the success of his Yeezy sales.

Fellow music artist Lil Nas X caught wind of this major news, and decided to congratulate Kanye over social media with a little comedy bit. He took to Twitter to officially welcome Kanye "to the club," seemingly implying that he, at 21-years-old with a virtually newborn music career, was also a billionaire.
"Just heard kanye west is a billionaire," he tweeted. "Welcome to the club bro!" Obviously, he was kidding, as a quick Google search will reveal that Lil Nas is only worth approximately $4 million. His followers totally caught on to the joke, though, and one even replied with a link to one of his tweets from last summer in which he had teased his fans that he now had billions of dollars in his bank account compared to the mere pennies he had 7 months prior.
"You are way ahead of him," the fan wrote. "U ain’t have to pull out the facts like this," Lil Nas X replied. "We all start somewhere give him some time." While Lil Nas was able to have fun with the topic, Kanye was less than impressed with Forbes' profile. The publication reported that Kanye boasts a total net worth of $1.3 billion, but the multi-hyphenate mogul claimed that none of the financial experts over at Forbes knows how to count, insisting that he's worth over $3 billion. While we may never know for sure how much of a billionaire Mr. West is, at least he was still able to receive a warm welcome from a totally legit fellow billionaire.
Lil Nas X Wins April Fool’s Day
Lil Nas X came through with the funniest April Fool's Day joke of the day so far, trolling his fans about his sexual orientation.
April Fool's Day 2020 has justifiably been canceled this year because, well, nothing can top what we've already lived through during these last three months. The entire year has basically been a complete joke, complete with a literal global pandemic popping off in the last few weeks. If you were planning on pranking your friends and family today, it might be a good idea to reconsider. We're all going through a lot and dealing with this situation differently. Twitter jokes are welcome, however, and the king of said internet activity just reigned supreme once again.
Frazer Harrison/Getty ImagesLil Nas X has been celebrated for the way he connects with his fans online, engaging in ridiculous amounts of banter with his followers and quickly becoming one of the most relatable celebrities on the planet. Much like the rest of us, the 20-year-old recording artist is in self-quarantine but he wasn't about to let a pandemic ruin his months-long preparation for April Fool's Day. He rang off his prank successfully this morning.
"I was never gay. i said it to build up fuel for aprils fools day. ha got u guys," wrote LNX on Twitter, joking about his coming-out moment last year. It took him all of thirteen minutes to reveal he was capping.
"Where the hoes at," he added before bouncing back to his real life. "Ok i’m gay again," he wrote.
Do you think Lil Nas X has April Fool's Day on lock? Can/will anyone out-perform him?
Rihanna Teases Kevin Durant About Coronavirus, Drake Intervenes
Rihanna playfully teased Kevin Durant about his recent coronavirus diagnosis in DJ Spade’s IG live comments, prompting Drake to insert himself into the conversation.
Rihanna and Kevin Durant took some lighthearted digs at each other about coronavirus in the comments of yet another one of DJ Spade’s Instagram live streams, and it looks like Drake was a little jealous of their back-and-forth. Ever since the coronavirus pandemic reached new heights, forcing everyone to stay home with nothing to do, Instagram live has become the place to be. Stars have taken to interacting with fellow celebrities in the comments of their peers’ IG live streams, at times dragging each other with love for the sake of relieving boredom. Since famous folks can’t link up with their famous friends IRL anymore, what better place to catch up than in the comments of an IG live sesh?
Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images
That’s exactly the attitude that Bad Gal Riri possessed when she tuned into another one of DJ Spade’s IG lives, following his widely discussed spin battle with OVO Sound’s DJ Night Owl Sound earlier this week. Rih noticed that a certain NBA star—Mr. Kevin Durant—was among the many viewers in her company, so she decided to roast him about his currently contagious state following his coronavirus diagnosis. “Is KD allowed in here?” Rih asked the “crowd.” “Should I wear a mask to live?” Later, she followed her joke up with a sincere message about KD’s health. “But foreal get well soon KD,” she wrote. Before he could respond, she continued clowning him by commenting, “Back with my mask! @easymoneysniper wya?” KD eventually acknowledged her playful disses with a diss of his own, bringing up Rihanna’s recent at-risk travels. “Yo Robyn didn’t u just come from Europe?”
The two of them continued to go back and forth with the clap backs, keeping it all in good fun. Catching wind that his buddy, KD, and the lowkey love of his life—I mean, friendly ex were engaging in witty banter, Drake decided to join in on the conversation. The rapper recently went into self-isolation after hanging out with KD only a few days before the Brooklyn Nets star tested positive for coronavirus. Drake later found out he had tested negative, but apparently he still thinks Rih and KD should stop making light of the virus. “We have to dead the treyfive corona jokes,” Drizzy wrote, in hopes that either of them would respond. However, as far as we can tell, neither Rih nor KD saw the comment, or, even, worse, they simply ignored it.

While she may not have engaged with him this time around, Riri and Drake had their own friendly interaction in DJ Spade’s aforementioned spin battle live session. The exchange involved Drake trolling Rihanna about releasing new music (which, technically, did happen this week), and Rih subsequently roasting Drake for acting “thirsty.” Here’s hoping DJ Spade keeps up the live sessions, so we can see more of Drake and Riri’s antics.
Britney Spears Was Only Joking About Beating Usain Bolt’s World Record
Britney Spears clarified that she was joking when she claimed to have run the 100 metre dash in less than 6 seconds, therefore beating Usain Bolt’s world record.
Britney Spears was “obviously joking” about being faster than Usain Bolt, when she claimed to have beat the world-renowned sprinter’s 100 metre dash world record time. The super fit former pop star is constantly documenting her workouts on social media, and on Wednesday, Britney shared a fitness update with her followers Instagram. In a since-deleted post, Brit had shared a screenshot of her stopwatch app, which had a “00:05.97” timestamp on it, and claimed in the caption to have sprinted 100 metres in that short time, beating her previous attempts. Many fans doubted the validity of Brit’s supposed time, considering how absurdly fast she’d have to be to do the 100 metre dash in less than 6 seconds. Many of them pointed out that it was highly unlikely she was telling the truth, since Usain Bolt currently holds the world record for running that same distance in 9.58 seconds. Did Britney really think we’d believe she was faster than the fastest person on earth?
Kevin Winter/Getty Images for iHeartMedia
Apparently, no. In another since-deleted post, Britney cleared the air about the whole “I beat the world record for fastest sprinter” thing, indicating that, of course, she was kidding. “Obviously I was joking about running the 100 meter dash in 5.97 seconds,” she wrote on the post. “The world record is held by Usain Bolt which is 9.58 seconds …. but you better believe I’m coming for the world record ? !!!! #joking #workbitch.” We’d honestly love to see Britney actually beat Usain’s world record. Anything is possible!
Joyner Lucas Jokes About Delaying "ADHD" Due To Coronavirus
Joyner Lucas joked about delaying the release of his upcoming debut album, "ADHD," once again, due to the rapid spread of coronavirus.
Joyner Lucas is trolling his fans once again about further delaying the release of his upcoming debut album, ADHD, eight more years, due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus epidemic. The status of the artist's debut album has been up in the air for awhile now, ever since he announced it way back in October of 2018. Last month, he finally gave fans a time frame for when they could expect to hear the project, and a few weeks later, he announced that the official release date would be March 27th, 2020. Now, with the worldwide panic surrounding the rising threat of COVID-19, the rapper joked that ADHD would be pushed back another eight years.
"Due to coronavirus I have decided to push my album back another 8 years," he tweeted on Thursday. "I just want to ensure everybody’s safety. I’m sorry to everyone who’s been waiting. March 27th 2028 is the new date.. Be safe everyone." This is certainly not the first time that Joyner has joked about putting off his album's release for an outrageous amount of time. Last summer, he teased that it would be "another 5 years" before ADHD would be released.

Although delaying a project's release eight whole years because of coronavirus would seem pretty excessive if it were true, many artists are taking similar though less drastic measures to ensure their safety. Cardi B delayed the release of the first single off her upcoming sophomore album due to her very public fears surrounding the spread of the deadly disease. Ciara also postponed her concert in Texas this past weekend, after Mariah Carey made the same move for her scheduled show in Hawaii. Release dates for films like the James Bond flick No Time To Die have been delayed, talk shows like The Wendy Williams Show are filming without audiences, and, in recent news, the NBA has suspended all games until the epidemic subsides. Here's hoping this is all over soon.
