Earlier today (Feb. 28), the reigning NBA MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed James Harden's comments that have been making headlines about his ability as a basketball player during a short interview prior to tonight's Bucks game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. During the 2020 NBA All-Star draft earlier this month, Charles Barkley asked the Nigerian Freak why he chose to pick Kemba Walker over James Harden during his drafting process against Lebron James. Without taking a moment to think about his answer, Antetokounmpo blatantly answered:
"I want somebody that’s going to pass the ball."

During a one-on-one sitdown with ESPN's, Rachel Nichols, James Harden didn't seem to take too kindly to Antetokounmpo's comments stating:
"I averaged more assists than (Walker) I think. I don’t see what the joke is. But I didn’t even see it, I don’t pay attention to stuff like that. I just know that none of them can mess with me."
Harden then proceeded to go in on Giannis' size saying:
"I wish I could just run and be seven feet and just dunk. Like, that takes no skill at all. I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill. I'll take that any day."
Antetokounmpo being the nonconfrontational person he is revealed that he holds no ill-will towards the league's leading scorer, responding:
"There hasn't been a back and forth. Like I'm not the type of guy—I never try to take stabs at somebody." Antetokounmpo said. "Maybe sometimes it might come out like that, but I'm definitely not. I'm just trying to do my job, which is win games and go back home to my family ... At the end of the day, if that's what he believes, that's what he believes. I can't say anything about it. I've just got to keep being focused."
While some media personalities may be trying to take sides, Antetokounmpo is focused on securing his first-ever NBA Champion a la James Harden. Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently averaging a total of 29.7 points per game while securing 13.7 rebounds while James Harden is averaging a league's best 35.2 points per game and dishing out 7.3 assists per game.

LeBron James & Giannis Named All-Star Captains, Starters Revealed
These lineups are pretty stacked.
We're already at the midway point of the NBA season which means the All-Star game is only a few short weeks away. The game is going to go down on Sunday, February 16th in Chicago and fans are excited to see which players are going to end up in the game. Yesterday, fans got a glimpse at what the game will be like as the starters were finally revealed. Just like last year, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will serve as captains for the match.
The rest of the lineups are looking pretty stacked. In the Eastern Conference, the starters will be Giannis, Trae Young, Joel Embiid, Kemba Walker, and Pascal Siakim. Meanwhile, the Western Conference will feature LeBron, Kawhi Leonard, Luka Doncic, Anthony Davis, and James Harden.
It remains to be seen who else will be playing in the game. Fans are excited to see some of the best players in the world participate in what should be the biggest event of the year, aside from the playoffs, of course. With LeBron and AD teamed up together, the game will certainly be a ton of fun. Meanwhile, we hope Dwight Howard gets a spot considering he will be in the dunk contest.

Kemba Walker Snaps 0-28 Streak vs LeBron: ‘Happy I Got One Before He Goes’
29th time is the charm.
It took 29 tries, but Kemba Walker has finally tasted victory against LeBron James. The Boston Celtics didn't leave any doubt on Monday night as they pummelled the Los Angeles Lakers en route to a 32-point victory, marking the end of Walker's 28-game winless streak against the four-time MVP.
"I'm happy I got one at least, before he goes," Walker said following Boston's 139-107 win. "Who knows how long he can play, because he's just incredible. But you know, it's only one. One and 28."
Walker, who finished with 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds, praised LeBron after the win.
“I have the utmost respect for LeBron and, you know, he’s one of the greatest players of all time,” Walker said, per Boston.com. “ If there’s (a guy) I couldn’t beat, it’d be him. He’s such a great player and has done so much in this league. He’s been so far. It just feels good to win.”
"If anybody: him. The guy I couldn't beat, it'd be him. He's such a great player, he's done so much in this league," said Walker, per ESPN. "He's beaten a lot of guys. I bet you there's a lot of people who don't have a winning record against LeBron James."

Celtics’ Rookie Vows To Die His Hair Pink If Teammates Make All-Star Team
Grant Williams makes the case for why Boston should have three All Star.
The NBA All-Star Game is just one month away, which means it's time for those potential All Stars, and their teammates, to start campaigning for votes. For instance, Boston Celtics rookie forward Grant Williams recently made the case for why Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown should all be headed to Chicago next month.
And if all three do earn All Star nods, Williams has vowed to die his hair pink for a month.
Following Boston's 113-101 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, Williams kicked off his media session by highlighting how well Walker, Tatum and Brown have played so far this season. Says the former Tennessee standout, "Kemba Walker is the only guard averaging, and actually is the only conference player, 22 points, five assists, three-and-half rebounds."
Of Tatum, Williams notes:
"(He) recently had 41 points (against the New Orleans Pelicans), averaging 30 (points) over the last couple of games. And — look at this — one of four Eastern Conference players averaging 21 and six and then has 41 (points) in a game, had six 3-pointers at 72 percent (shooting). So, definitely a talented enough performance to, you know, get into the All-Star Game.”
Lastly, the rookie mentioned how Jaylen Brown is averaging 20 points (on 49% shooting) to go along with seven rebounds per game.
"And he’s one of three guards averaging seven rebounds. How you gonna do that? Russell Westbrook did it three years ago, come on now. Jaylen Brown. So get him into the All-Star Game.”
In the most recent All Star fan vote returns, Walker ranked third among guards in the Eastern Conference, trailing only Trae Young and Kyrie Irvng, while Brown checked in at seventh overall in the backcourt. Tatum was fifth among front court players. Fans will be able to cast their vote up until Monday, January 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Celtics Fan Throws Beer At Spurs Bench Following Kemba Walker Ejection: Watch
Wild night at the TD Garden on Wednesday.
It was a chaotic night at the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday, specifically during the third quarter when Kemba Walker was ejected from the game.
As seen in the footage embedded below, Walker lashed out at the officials after he was laid out by a hard screen set by San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge. The Celtics point guard was ultimately ejected for his reaction - and a rogue Celtics fan retaliated by hurling a beer onto the court right by the Spurs' bench.
Walker issues the following statement following the 129-114 loss to San Antonio.
"It's the first time I've ever been ejected in my whole life," Walker said, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps. "... I've seen other guys do a lot worse but the choice was his, and he made it. He got me out of there, and what can I do? At this point we lost, and we have another one tomorrow."
As for the dude who threw the beer at the Spurs' bench - he was reportedly arrested on a misdemeanor charge.
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens apologized to the Spurs for the incident, "I'm sure the Celtics have already addressed this as an organization, but if not, I apologize to the Spurs for what happened out of the stands, and that can being thrown. I told [Spurs coach Greg Popovich] after the game I'm really sorry that they had to experience that ... I hope that person's not allowed in an NBA arena again."
