In another disturbing event involving racially-fueled police brutality, a Minneapolis man named George Floyd was killed after an officer kneeled down on his throat, preventing him from properly breathing. Despite cries of "I can't breathe," a phrase that has become all too common in cases of this nature, Floyd was forcefully restrained for over seven minutes and died in the hours following.
After video footage of the arrest went viral, all four of the officers involved were "separated from employment." Floyd's family has since demanded that the officers involved receive murder charges, though there have been no further developments on that front. The outcry following Floyd's murder has been passionate and vocal, with massive crowds taking to the street last night in protest.

The rally was held on the 3700 block of Chicago Avenue, where Floyd was killed. From there, a march began leading to the Minneapolis Police's 3rd Precinct building, where police clad in riot gear had already set up a barricade. Though many sought to protest in a peaceful fashion, tensions eventually flared. Video footage captured at the scene reveals some of the escalations.
Police cars were barraged with projectiles and swarmed by protestors, while police raised the stakes by pelting people with rubber bullets and launching tear gas canisters and flashbang grenades. Andy Mannix of the Star Tribune was on scene to chronicle events and shared a few pictures on social media, capturing the frantic and smoke-filled atmosphere while taking a rubber bullet to the thigh for his trouble.
It's clear that tolerance for racial injustice has once again reached a boiling point, especially following the deaths of both Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd in quick succession. Many have already pointed out the contrast between police response to this protest and that of a mostly-white, and sometimes heavily armed group of protestors swarming Michigan's Capitol building. Rest in peace to George Floyd.

Patrick Jesernik, 54 and Cheryl Schriefer, 59, were both tested for the virus two days prior to their deaths but never saw the results. After they died, their tests came back negative.
A press release from the Will County Sheriff’s Office detailed the scene officers arrived at the house:
All of the doors and windows of the residence were locked from the inside. Police and fire personnel forced entry into the residence. Deputies located Patrick Jesernik, age 54, and Cheryl Schriefer, age 59, in separate rooms of the residence, both deceased. Both individuals had a pooling of blood formed around their heads. A loaded revolver, containing two spent shell casings and three live rounds were located near Patrick’s body. There were no signs of a struggle, and the home was neat and orderly
An autopsy confirmed that Schriefer’s death was a homicide and Jesernik’s was a suicide.
The Sheriff’s Office concluded the press release by mentioning that there has been a rise in domestic disputes during the COVID-19 pandemic: “During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the vast majority of service calls that Deputies have been responding to, involve domestic disputes and crisis intervention calls… you can reach out to Guardian Angel Community Service Groundwork 24 hour domestic violence hotline at 815-729-1228.”

Lil Pump Shaved His Eyebrows Because Of "Tiger King" Star Carole Baskin
Lil Pump suggested that he shaved his eyebrows off in honour of “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin’s late husband, whom many believe was murdered by Carole.
The reason Lil Pump decided to shave his eyebrows off has been revealed, and, according to the rapper himself, it has something to do with Tiger King. If you’ve been scratching your head ever since Pump debuted his new look on Instagram, wondering why on earth he would shave his eyebrows off, don’t worry, you’re not alone. The man is known for his unexpected antics, but his most recent shenanigans involved completely removing both his eyebrows from his face. Pump showed off his new look Instagram on Thursday, declaring, “I’m a alien now.” However, he provided zero explanation for why he decided to do this, until now.

Pump posted a video on his Instagram story, revealing what inspired him to make the bold move. Putting on a Florida accent to imitate the way the stars of the Netflix docu-series, Tiger King, speak, Pump indicated that this was all Carole Baskin’s fault.
“So the reason I shaved my eyebrows, he began “is ’cause that b*tch Carole Baskin, god damn it, she killed her husband and fed him to the god damn tigers!” Ever since the big cat conservatory series debuted on Netflix, it has become widely believed by most viewers that Baskin was involved in the mysterious death of her ex-husband, Don Lewis. It looks like Pump is onboard with this theory, even going so far as to shave his eyebrows off in rage. Although he’s most likely joking, it could also be some kind of sacrificial tribute to Don. Pump followed up this explanation with a photo of himself flipping off the camera from back when he still had eyebrows, writing, “THAT STUPID B*TCH CAROL BASKIN.”
Shouldn’t have killed your husband, Carole. Pump might still have eyebrows right now.

“I am not an angry person by nature, and as time goes on, I’m definitely dealing with anger over that, because to me it’s so senseless – watching porn, cellphone use,” Jonathan’s mother Delena Weaver said. “He killed my son.”
Chip Brooker, who represents the parents, called the case, “one of the most extreme, egregious cases of distracted driving.” He continued. “Energy Transfer is a billion-dollar company that has the resources to monitor and detect this sort of conduct with their drivers.”
CBS cites a Travelers study released in October that found 48% of drivers admitted to reading a text, and one in four update social media and take pictures or videos while driving. The CDC also reports that nine people a day die in the U.S. due to distracted driving crashes, many of which are the result of a driver checking their cellphone.
“Please put your phones down,” Delena Weaver pleaded to CBS’ Kris Van Cleave. “Your life and other people’s lives are valuable. Put the phones away. It can wait.”
Kobe Bryant’s Pilot Warned “You’re Too Low” Seconds Before Crash: Report
Ation experts believe poor visibility looks to be the key cause of the crash however.
By now, most of you heard the shocking news of Kobe Bryant’s death. The Lakers great was killed Sunday morning when a helicopter heading to his daughter’s basketball tournament in Thousand Oaks crashed amid foggy conditions and burst into flames in Calabasas. At first, reports surfaced saying that five people were on board and all died on impact, but authorities later confirmed that nine (9) people were on that helicopter, which was being flown by pilot Ara Zobayan.
While details remain scarce on what actually happened, some reports surfaced late Sunday night suggesting that the helicopter most likely was flying too low in such foggy conditions. In fact, the fog was so severe that the Los Angeles Police Department’s Air Support Division grounded their own helicopters and didn’t fly until later in the afternoon. “The weather situation did not meet our minimum standards for flying,” department spokesman Josh Rubenstein said. The fog “was enough that we were not flying."
According to reports, the air traffic controllers told the pilot (Ara Zobayan) of poor visibility around the Burbank and Van Nuys areas, but he reportedly responded to controllers normally before communication suddenly went dead near the crash site at Calabasas.
"You're still too low level for flight following at this time," the air traffic controller allegedly told the pilot. Then seconds later, the helicopter disappeared from the radar. It was traveling at speed - 153knots (176mph) - when it crashed into the hillside, according to tracking site Flightradar24.
Witnesses said they heard a roar before the chopper slammed into the hillside Sunday morning. One man said he was standing outside the Church in the Canyon drinking coffee when he heard a helicopter flying unusually low and seeming to struggle. “It wasn’t sounding right, and it was real low,” Kocharian said. “I saw it falling and spluttering. But it was hard to make out as it was so foggy.” The helicopter vanished into the sheet of fog, then there was a boom and “a big fireball,” he said. “No one could survive that.”
Bryant and the others in the chopper were understood to have been heading to a children's basketball tournament which his daughter (Gianna) was playing in. There were no survivors sadly. Other victims included John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Peyton Chester, and Christina Mauser.
