Dennis Rodman has lived a pretty incredible life. During the 90s, he won three championships with the Chicago Bulls and even got to win two with the Detroit Pistons. He is one of the greatest rebounders to ever play the game and off the court, he was considered to be a notorious party animal. While Rodman’s antics are well-documented, nothing has ever topped the fact that he is practically best friends with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

The North Korean leader is a huge basketball fan and has bonded with Rodman in the past. During an episode of “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,” Rodman spoke about the first time he met Kim Jong Un and how it was one of the wildest experiences of his entire life.

“When I first met him (Kim Jong Un), I was with the Harlem Globetrotters and I wasn’t playing so some people ask me to come with them. I think I’m going to jail, right. I said: ‘What the f*** did I do in America?’ I walked up to the stands and sit in front of a desk. There are all these king-style chairs, like 20 of them. Next thing I know, 22,000 North Koreans all stand up and start clapping. […] We sat there talking about basketball the whole time. The game finishes and then he says ‘We’d love you to come back, we enjoy your company. Let’s have dinner tonight, a little karaoke and have some vodka, some hotties and stuff like that.’ Next thing I know, we are having dinner and we are drunk as s***, he starts singing karaoke and I have no clue what the f*** he’s talking about. Everyone starts clapping and then he has this 18-piece girl band come out and these girls are hot but they just played one song. Just one f****** song. It was the theme from Dallas.”

Since then, the two have met up in North Korea on numerous occasions and the Hall of Famer is seen as an ambassador between the United States and North Korea.

The world is currently in a weird place. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, reports began floating around last week that Kim Jong Un died. This arrived after weeks of speculation surrounding Kim Jong Un's health, though South Korea has repeatedly shot down these rumors. Last week, North Korea debunked all of the theories surrounding Kim Jong Un by releasing photos of the North Korean leader to prove that nothing is out of the ordinary, despite what the media is saying.

Louise Mensch, a former conservative in the UK government isn't buying it, though. She tweeted out a side-by-side picture of Kim Jong Un pointing out the apparent differences in the recently released photos. She pointed out that his teeth and brows aren't the same, though TMZ quickly debunked her theory. After obtaining the actual photo, they realized Mensch's photo was actually doctored. The actual photo doesn't show any of the differences that Mensch pointed out.

Perhaps, the status of Kim Jong Un's death would've been less complicated had she not suggest that he has a body double pretending to be him. After all, the media in North Korea is run by the government so ultimately, this could be more of a PR move than actual journalistic proof that Kim Jong Un is alive and well in the midst of rumors of his death. 

Reports of Kim Jong Un's demise have been greatly exaggerated over the last few weeks. It all started when a report surfaced that the North Korean leader had been rendered brain dead following unsuccessful heart surgery. A week later, it was reported that Kim Jong Un had passed away and that his sister would be taking over the country. Now, reports have suggested that Kim Jong Un is actually alive and has escaped to a resort in North Korea that allows him to escape the threat of the Coronavirus.

According to UK paper The Sun, Kim Jong Un has brought his 2,000-woman pleasure squad with him. For those who don't know, the pleasure squad is comprised of women who were allegedly taken from school at a young age and led into a life of sex work. This 2,000-woman squad engages in performances for North Korean officials and it is rumored they also partake in sex orgies with the country's leader.

Kim Jong-Un has been at the center of several conflicting reports over the past few weeks. There has been speculation that something’s happened to him since he hasn’t been seen in a while. What fueled this speculation even further is that he didn’t make any public appearances during North Korea’s Day Of The Sun, a holiday that celebrates his grandfather.

Over the weekend, a Japanese media outlet and a Hong Kong-backed media outlet’s vice director, who is also the niece of a Chinese foreign minister, ran reports claiming that Kim Jong Un is either dead or in a vegetative state. Though South Korea officials previously denied that anything was wrong with him, they’re now clearing up rumors of Kim Jong Un’s death.

A letter from Kim Jong Un written to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa dated April 27th was published by the North Korean media in the midst of rumors of their leader’s death. The thing is there hasn’t been any verification of the authenticity of the letter, especially since there have been numerous conflicting reports.

However, an official from South Korea said on Sunday that Kim Jong Un is “alive and well,” according to CNN, despite the rumors surrounding his wellbeing.

50 Cent got two leaders of Asian countries mixed up in one of his latest Instagram posts, mistaking former Communist leader of China, Mao Zedong, for the current (although rumoured to be dead) leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. 50 Cent has been the victim of many mash-up murals, having his likeness combined with the distinguishing features of public figures like Tekashi 6ix9ine, Donald Trump and, most recently, Post Malone. Often, the artist will include certain identifiable details in the painting that the subjects themselves possess, such as tattoos or a particular hairstyle. In this case, it was the receding hairline and signature uniform of Mao Zedong—the founding father of the People’s Republic of China who ruled as chairman of its Communist party from 1949-1976—that were combined with Fif’s earnest expression. However, 50 thought that the artist had intended to mash him up with the current leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, likely since he’s been making headlines recently due to the fact that he may or may not be dead.

On Sunday, 50 shared a photo of the mural on his Instagram, writing, “Oh sh*t, 50 Kim Jung Un. These people are crazy.” He also managed to track down a clip of the artist, who goes by the name of Lushsux, actually creating the mural, and posted it on Instagram as well. “Damn he made that sh*t look like it was easy,” he wrote. “I want to meet this guy.” 

Unfortunately, since Fif has limited which accounts can comment on his posts, nobody has been able to inform him that he’s actually been turned into Mao. Lushsux himself even confirmed on Instagram that the mural is meant to depict Mao, not Kim Jong Un.

Lushsux did, however, paint a separate mural depicting Kim Jong Un combined with a different celebrity: Kim Kardashian.

“Did kim actually die or is it a cover up of his sex change operation?” he wrote. It was reported yesterday that Kim Jong Un may be dead, since he was absent for North Korea’s most important holiday, The Day of the Sun, on April 15th. He recently underwent heart surgery, and it’s been rumoured that the surgeon had shaky hands, resulting in his death.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been at the center of conflicting reports in the past week. He has not been seen in the past week which is especially peculiar since he was absent from celebrating North Korea’s most important holiday on April 5th, the Day of the Sun, which honors his grandfather. Speculation that he had fallen gravely ill began circulating but the leader of South Korea refuted those rumors.

As North Korea remains quiet about the rumors, fueling them even further, new reports claim that Kim Jong Un might actually be dead, according to Hong Kong-backed media outlet’s vice director, who is also the niece of a Chinese foreign minister. It should be noted this arrives after China sent a medical team to check in on Kim following the rumors of his disappearance. The claims initially emerged on Weibo, a popular social media app, claiming a “very solid source” has passed, International Business Times reports.

Meanwhile, a Japanese media outlet has reported that the North Korean leader is in a “vegetative state” after undergoing heart surgery. TMZ reports that he needed a stent procedure done after an incident in early April. They said that his surgery either wasn’t done in a timely enough fashion or the surgeon’s hands were shaky.

Reports emerged yesterday that the United States is keeping a close eye on North Korea leader Kim Jong-Un who is reportedly not in great shape after undergoing surgery. Some reports claimed that he’s in “grave danger” after undergoing cardiovascular surgery on April 12th which was due to “excessive smoking, obesity, and overwork.”

As you know, Dennis Rodman is close friends with Kim Jong-Un and released a statement to TMZ regarding the state of his friend’s health. “I hope it’s just a rumor that Marshal Kim Jong-Un is sick,” Rodman said. “Hopefully I will find out more soon.”

Rodman’s connection to Kim Jong-Un has given him hope that he can possibly make amends between the leader of North Korea and the current president of the United States, Donald Trump, who Rodman is also friends with. “There is still so much work we have to do between both the USA and DPRK,” Rodman added, “If he is not feeling well, I am praying for his speedy recovery, so that both my friends [President Trump & Marshal Kim] can continue towards a peaceful success.”

Rodman has been the global connection between Rodman and Trump in the past. Rodman previously took partial credit for The Trump-Kim Summit in 2018 that brought together the two world leaders. 

As cannabis lovers worldwide were closing out their 4-20, a trending topic took over social media that sent shockwaves. It was being reported that Kim Jong-un, the Supreme Leader of Nouth Korea, was “gravely ill” as he recovered from a “cardiovascular procedure.” He was supposed to have been recovering “in the Mount Kumgang resort county of Hyangsan.” Additional information stated that the surgery took place just over a week ago and people began to speculate that the recovery may have been why Kim didn’t attend the celebration put in place for his grandfather’s birthday five days ago.

Daily NK, an online publication, reportedly stated that Kim underwent the surgery because of his “excessive smoking, obesity, and overwork.” CNN reports that sources say the United States is closely monitoring information regarding Kim’s health, but unsurprisingly, The Washington Post has claimed that South Korea refutes all claims that their leader is sick.

“We have nothing to confirm regarding recent media reports about the health problems of Chairman Kim Jong-un of North Korea, and no atypical movement inside North Korea has been detected,” a spokesman for South Korean President Moon Jae-in said in a statement.The whirlwind of information has sent the political arena into a tizzy, so the world will have to wait until Kim Jong-un reemerges.

North Korea says Kim Jong Un received a personal letter from President Donald Trump regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, according to CNN. Trump, apparently, offered his help with the country’s “anti-epidemic work.”

According to a statement from Kim Yo Jong, Kim’s younger sister, Trump “explained his plan to propel the relations between the two countries of the DPRK and the U.S. and expressed his intent to render cooperation in the anti-epidemic work, saying that he was impressed by the efforts made by the Chairman to defend his people from the serious threat of the epidemic.”

“We regard it as a good judgment and proper action for the U.S. president to make efforts to keep the good relations he had with our Chairman by sending a personal letter again at a time as now when big difficulties and challenges lie in the way of developing the bilateral relations, and think that this should be highly estimated,” she said.

The White House and the National Security Council have not yet responded to CNN’s request for comment. Trump has also not acknowledged the news on Twitter.

Over 300,000 people have contracted the Coronavirus worldwide and over 12,000 have died. At least 323 people have died from the virus in the United States.
