We're three or four weeks into social distancing (seriously, it's hard to keep count at this point) and it has undoubtedly put the world on pause. And while this has been happening, artists have still released a ton of music, despite not being able to fully capitalize off of it with show and festival appearances.

Right before the world went on lockdown, Lil Baby shared his latest project, My Turn, his official follow-up to 2018's Harder Than Ever. Though plans to release his Lamborghini Boys tape featuring solely rappers with Lambos have been put on hold until the pandemic is over, Baby announced that he does have something in stores to hold fans over until then. Taking to Twitter, he revealed that the deluxe edition of My Turn will be coming soon. He didn't make any mention of who might feature on the bonus tracks or how many there will be.
In related news, the rapper recently revealed that he was supposed to have a verse on Drake's new single, "Toosie Slide." He explained on Twitter that Drake sent him the song a month ago but he never recorded his verse. Maybe we can expect another collaboration from the two? After all, Lil Baby did say that they had some more stuff coming. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on that.
Lil Baby Delays "Lamborghini Boys" Until Quarantine Is Over
Lil Baby announces that he'll be pushing back "Lamborghini Boys" project until we can all go outside again.
Coronavirus quarantine is putting on a damper on many artists' careers, as they're unable to tour, or go outside in general, whether it's business meetings or a recording studio. Nonetheless, it's fair to say that most mainstream artists have a home studio set-up, and are still able to work on new music during this period. Lil Baby has been prepping and teasing his Lamborghini Boys album pre-coronavirus takeover, and now he's made a new announcement where that album is concerned.
Not that we can really be mad at an album delay, Baby just did drop My Turn at the end of February. It was a couple of short weeks laters that he first announced the project, Lamborghini Boys, an album he said that would only feature fellow Lambo-owners. At the time, he said it would drop in 60 days. However on Twitter today, he said he'll be delaying the album "until we [back] outside."
Good idea or nah? I'm sure we'd all love more music in these quarantined times, but at the same time, it's difficult to promote a new project when going to radio shows, clubs and the like is not a possibility.
We'll keep you posted on new details surrounding Lamborghini Boys.
Lil Baby Announces Mixtape Featuring Only Rappers Who Own Lambos
Lil Baby’s “Lamborghini Boys” mixtape will drop in the next 60 days but to feature on it, you have to own a Lamborghini.
Lil Baby is fresh off of the release of his sophomore album, My Turn but he can’t stop, won’t stop. Taking to Instagram Live, he gave fans a snippet of more unreleased music that he freshly recorded. Snapping on the record, he brags that he bought a coupe off of verses before cutting the music out and acknowledging the leaks that come off of his Instagram Live. “See, that’s enough, man. Y’all gon’ put my shit on YouTube, man. I got to sell this shit,” he said before revealing that he has a new tape in the pipeline.
“I’mma drop my mixtape, though. In like 60 days. Lamborghini Boys,” he announced before revealing the strict rules he set for anyone who will appear as a guest verse. “All the rap n***as who got Lamborghinis features. I’mma put features on there… Lamborghini Boys mixtape.”
Well, we could definitely expect Baby to stay quarantined in the studio for the next little while working on this forthcoming project. The rapper’s latest project marked a major feat in his career after debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. Earlier this week, it was revealed that his latest project not only moved another 104K in its second week but he also tied up with Prince and Paul McCartney on the Billboard Hot 100 for a total amount of hits.
