LeBron James and Monté Morris got into a bit of a situation on Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets. As we reported yesterday, Morris said something to LeBron which led to a quick response from the Lakers superstar who began walking back in Morris' direction. Nothing came of their trash talk battle although the whole scene quickly made its way to social media where Lakers fan were in hysterics. Many began to speculate what was said although we'll never know for sure.
Yesterday, Morris took to Twitter where he commented on the altercation. As Morris explains, it's not as major as everyone thought it was and that he has a ton of respect for the NBA legend. Clearly, the two are on okay terms.
“It’s always a dream come true to compete against a future HOF you’ve always idolized coming up," Morris explained. "Much respect to Bron and what he’s done for the game of basketball. Last night wasn’t as major as everyone is making it seem, it was just two individuals from the mud competing for a W.”
The Lakers and Nuggets are two of the best teams in the NBA and could potentially meet up in the NBA playoffs. If this happens, it will be interesting to see how Morris and James interact.
Dwight Howard Matches NBA Stars With Superhero Alter Egos: Watch
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard gives super hero alter egos to LeBron James, Chris Paul & other NBA Stars.
Dwight Howard, who still refers to himself as “Superman” in spite of what Shaq has to say, recently gave some other NBA stars their own alter egos ahead of his return to the NBA Slam Dunk Contest this Saturday. As part of a video series for The Colbert Show, Howard was asked to match up numerous comic book icons with their NBA counterparts, during which he labelled his teammate LeBron James as the league’s “Ironman,” while bestowing the honor of “Captain America” on Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul.
Howard also paired up DeMarcus Cousins with The Incredible Hulk, Derrick Rose with Wolverine, Quinn Cook with Spider-Man (the cartoon version) and Luka Doncic with The Avengers’ Spider-Man. Check out his explanation for each of those alter egos, as well as the NBA’s Aquaman, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Thanos and even Kung Fu Panda, in the video embedded below.
As mentioned, Howard aka Superman will be returning to the NBA Slam Dunk Contest this Saturday for the first time in over a decade. The 34-year old headlined some of the most memorable Dunk Contest competitions against Nate Robinson during a three-year run from 2007-09, including a championship in 2008.
This Saturday, he’ll be going up against Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon, Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. and Milwaukee Bucks point guard Pat Connaughton. As is tradition, the Dunk Contest will serve as the main event for All Star Saturday Night, with coverage set to begin at 8pm ET on TNT.

LeBron James & Michael Jordan Card Sells For Insane Price At Auction
This LeBron James and Michael Jordan card has a special feature to it.
LeBron James and Michael Jordan are considered to be two of the best players in NBA history. They have accomplished a great deal throughout their careers and combined, they have nine championships. They hold multiple scoring records and are revered by numerous fans both young and old. With that being said, it shouldn't be surprising that memorabilia involving the two would sell for an obscene amount of money.
According to Darren Rovell, the trading card below, from the 2003-2004 season, recently sold for $900,000 through Goldin Auctions. What makes this card so special is that it's a one-of-one and features two NBA logo patches that came right off of Jordan and LeBron's jerseys.
For now, this is the most someone has ever paid for LeBron James and Michael Jordan memorabilia. Goldin Auctions has never seen such a large amount dropped on a single trading card before. It's hard to imagine paying such a steep price but the nature of the card makes it interesting. If it were LeBron on its own or Jordan on its own, the card would have been way less. However, since two of the best players ever are represented, it becomes way more valuable.
Let us know in the comments below what you think of the card and how much you would spend on some memorabilia.
LeBron James Reacts To Devin Booker’s All Star Nomination
Team LeBron just got a brand new player.
LeBron James will be in Chicago this weekend for the annual NBA All-Star game. For the second straight year, LeBron will be captaining his own team. One of his most high profile players was none other than Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Unfortunately, Lillard went down with an injury on Wednesday night and will have to miss the festivities. To make up for his absence, the league announced earlier today that Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns would be the replacement. Of course, since Lillard was supposed to play for Team LeBron, James will get to play with the young Suns star.
After hearing the news, LeBron took to Twitter where he congratulated Booker for his latest accomplishment. With Booker on his team, LeBron's squad will surely be in for quite a bit of offense.
Last night, Lillard said he wanted Booker to replace him as he's someone who truly deserved the honor this season. Meanwhile, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies reacted to the news by saying he would work harder to get into the game someday. Considering everything Morant has done this season, we're sure he'll have plenty of All-Star appearances in the future.
Who do you have winning the All-Star game on Sunday? Team Giannis or Team LeBron?
LeBron James’ Diet Is Absolutely Abhorrent, Says Tristan Thompson
LeBron James seems to have no regard for his body.
LeBron James is one of the best athletes in the entire world and at 35 years old, he is still playing at a ridiculously high level. With this in mind, you would think he’s been kind to his body, especially with the way he eats. At the end of the day, nutrition is extremely important and if you don’t eat right, you can completely wreck your body.
Well, in an interview with Joe Vardon and Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Tristan Thompson completely dispells that idea. At one point, Thompson goes in-depth about LeBron’s diet and how it consists of a lot of sweets and very little moderation. Thompson seemed to be dumbfounded over LeBron’s diet and to this day, he doesn’t understand how the three-time NBA champion has been able to maintain his body.

Per Thompson:
“He has the worst f***ing diet ever. Ask him what he eats for breakfast. He has like five french toast, drowns it in syrup with strawberries and bananas. Then he has like a four-egg omelette and then he goes and just f***ing dunks on somebody. It doesn’t make sense. He eats desserts with every meal. He’ll come with his one-week diet, vegan crap, but he literally eats like it doesn’t make sense. He’s really a specimen. He eats like sh*t. I remember one year I tried to eat like he ate and it just didn’t work out. I started gaining weight and said, “F*** this.” I mean it works for him. He loves sweets. He loves sweets. He eats desserts and French toast. It’s crazy how his body just burns it.”
Thompson’s comments certainly come as a bit of a shock but when you consider how LeBron has tacos every Tuesday, we shouldn’t be too surprised. At least he’s able to work it all off.
LeBron James Appears To Take Issue With Monté Morris’ Trash Talk
LeBron wasn't appreciative of the antics.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been the best team in the Western Conference this season and last night, they had one of their toughest tests of the season. The Lakers were tasked with playing against the second-best team in their conference, the Denver Nuggets. In the end, the Lakers won the game 120-116 in overtime. LeBron James had 32 points and even added 14 assists and 12 rebounds. He had arguably one of his best games of the season as the Lakers proved themselves to be one of the league's best.
At one point during the match, Monté Morris of the Denver Nuggets found himself in LeBron's face, knocking down a slick three-pointer. Of course, this led to some quick trash talk as Morris gave LeBron a piece of his mind. In the clip below, James is seen walking away and then all of a sudden, he walks back over to Morris and is clearly upset over what was said.
No one knows for sure what was said but it's certainly interesting to see a player like Morris go after one of the greatest players of all-time. Morris was certainly punching above his weight here and LeBron seemed to be confused. Either way, the Lakers squeaked out the win and if you're LeBron, that's all that really matters.
LeBron James Gives Dwight Howard & Alex Caruso The King’s Co-Sign
The Lakers role players have been killing it.
Heading into this NBA season, there were some doubts around the league whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers had enough depth to go far. As of right now, the team is ranked first in the Western Conference with a record of 41-12. It's the second-best record in the entire NBA and for now, the Lakers are looking like a team who could go all the way and win the NBA Championship. Last night, the Lakers came through with a huge victory over the Denver Nuggets and their depth was a key factor as to why.
After the game, Jared Dudley took to Twitter where he praised Dwight Howard and Alex Caruso for providing the team with a much-needed spark in the second quarter. Howard and Caruso combined for 24 points while providing rebounds and defense. LeBron echoed Dudley's sentiments on Twitter by saying "Facts!! Them boys were amazing!!"
If you're a Lakers fan, last night's win should be very encouraging moving forward. The Lakers have been criticized for their perceived inability to win games against some of the league's best teams. Last night proved the team can beat anyone, especially when LeBron and Anthony Davis are at their best.
With the win, the Lakers are now on break for All-Star weekend. The next time they'll be in action is next Friday when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies in Los Angeles.
Anthony Davis Says LeBron James Taught Him One Big Lesson
LeBron James & Anthony Davis have been a dynamic duo this season.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been the talk of Los Angeles throughout the NBA season. While the Los Angeles Clippers have their own dynamic duo in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, national media has never covered the Clippers like they do the Lakers. With this in mind, it shouldn't be surprising that LeBron and AD have seemingly gotten all the coverage and scrutiny that comes with it.
Davis was acquired by the Lakers in the summer thanks to a trade that sent Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, and Brandon Ingram to the New Orleans Pelicans. For now, LeBron and AD are proving themselves to be an incredible tag team that has dismantled NBA squads all season long. During a recent interview with Dave McMenamin of ESPN, AD spoke about LeBron's influence and everything has learned in such a short amount of time.
“I learned that every time you go on the floor, you’re playing for something,” Davis said. “Anytime you go on the floor, you want to get a team’s best shot. People say the Lakers are not that good and in games that they shouldn’t be in, but this team that everybody wants to beat and you have a target on your back, you’re going to get every team’s best shot.”
Heading into the final stretch of the regular season, the Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference and will be looking to maintain that advantage well into the playoffs.

LeBron James Gifts Free College Tuition To "I Promise" Students: Watch
LeBron has been doing great things in the community.
LeBron James has proven himself to be way more than just an athlete. One of his biggest ventures is the “I Promise” school in Akron, Ohio. There is a network of schools with the “I Promise” philosophy and some of the juniors from one of the schools were given the shock of a lifetime. Nearly 200 students, 193 to be exact, were brought on a tour of Kent State University in Ohio. During the trip, the students sat down in the auditorium where they were addressed by some important figures at the school. They were then told to look under their seats and open up an envelope.
To everyone’s surprise, they were gifted with four years of free tuition to Kent State. For in-state students, tuition is roughly $11K a year which means for 193 students, that’s over $8 million in tuition. Even for LeBron’s standards, this is a massive gift that will certainly go a long way for these students.
These students still have a couple of more years before heading to college which means they’ll need to keep up their grades and keep attending class. If they don’t keep up with their studies, they will be at risk of losing their scholarship. Either way, this is a beautiful gift that LeBron should be commended for.
LeBron James Comments On Possibly Playing In The Olympics
LeBron has a couple of Olympic gold medals to his name.
Tokyo, Japan is hosting the Olympics this summer and Team USA is expected to do some serious damage. Yesterday, the team released its long list of 44 finalists for the 12-man roster. As you can imagine, LeBron James was the biggest name on that list and now, people are speculating as to whether or not he’s going to want to play this summer.
Reporters asked James about the team and for now, he seems to be non-committal. According to Melissa Rohlin of Sports Illustrated, James’ decision will completely hinge on how his body is feeling, especially after the playoffs. LeBron and the Lakers are hoping to still be in a title race come June and if this is the case, LeBron may want to take the entire summer off.

“My name is in the hat and it’s always predicated on: one; my body, how my body is feeling at the end of the season — I hope to make a long playoff run,” James said. “And then where my mind is and then where my family’s head is. So, it’s a lot of factors but my name is in the hat.”
Even without LeBron, Team USA still has a stacked list of finalists so fans shouldn’t worry too much. There are plenty of stars to lead this team to yet another Gold medal.
