This season has been a fruitful one for the Los Angeles Lakers. They currently sit atop the Western Conference standings with a formidable record of 29-7. Every single night, they appear as though they are having the most fun in the league and on Sunday, their passion was on full display. The team squeaked out a win against the Detroit Pistons while improving their winning streak to five games. The whole team got involved when it came to scoring and internet sensation Alex Caruso was no different.
Perhaps the best highlight of the game came in the fourth quarter when Kyle Kuzma recorded a steal and immediately passed the ball to Caruso who was in all alone. Caruso came through with a monster dunk as LeBron James chased him down and even pretended to block him. The went nuts and the whole scene was just another example of how much chemistry this team has.
Every single night, the Lakers come through with brand new highlights. Even if you're not a fan of the team, there is no denying how well they've been playing as of late. They are exciting to watch on any given night and as fans, that's all we can really ask for. Not to mention, LeBron is 35 years old and is still pulling off unbelievable feats of human strength. We're not even halfway through the season although it's clear as day that the Lakers are a contender to win it all.

Dwight Howard Hilariously Mimics LeBron James’ Handles: Watch
The Lakers are having the most fun in the NBA.
This season has been immensely successful for the Los Angeles Lakers thus far. The team currently sits in first place in the Western Conference with a record of 27-7. After going on a four-game losing skid, the team has bounced back with a three-game winning streak in which they have played their signature brand of high-octane basketball. On any given night, the Lakers are the most fun team in basketball and fans have taken notice.
The entire squad appears to have great chemistry and seem to be having more fun than the fans. LeBron James is a huge part of that although Dwight Howard has been his goofy self as well. Howard's personality was on full display Wednesday night after LeBron showed off some impressive handles. As you can see in the video below, Howard hops off the bench and begins to mimic James' moves.
Howard and the rest of the Lakers squad have been heavy with the antics this season as they are always looking to make each other laugh. It feels like this team is just one big group of friends who just so happen to play NBA basketball together. This energy will certainly go a long way as they march into the playoffs this Spring.

For instance, Boston Celtics big man Tacko Fall currently has the sixth most votes among Eastern Conference front court players, while Lakers' backup guard Alex Caruso checks in eighth among guards in the West.
The vote for All-Star Game starters will also include contributions from NBA players and the media, but the fans will account for 50% of the vote. Fans will be able to cast their vote up until Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Per NBA.com:
"Fans may submit one full ballot each day the NBA App and NBA.com, as well as on Google and through Google Assistant. All current NBA players will be available for selection. Five “2-for-1 Days” will allow fans to have their votes count twice on Jan. 2, Jan. 3, Jan. 10, Jan. 16 and Jan. 20 through all voting platforms. All “2-for-1 Days” will be designated 12 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. ET."
The players with the most votes in each conference will be named captains for the All-Star Game, taking place at the United Center on Sunday, February 16. TNT will reveal the NBA All-Star Game starters, including the two team captains, on Thursday, January 23, followed by the reserves, as selected by NBA head coaches, on Thursday, January 30.
LeBron James Urges NBA To Name An Award Or Day After David Stern
LeBron James & others celebrate the life of David Stern.
Former NBA commissioner David Stern passed away on Wednesday at the age of 77, weeks after suffering a brain hemorrhage. To honor Stern's monumental contributions to the game of basketball during his 30-year run as commissioner from 1984 to 2014, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James hopes that the league will name an award, or a day, after Stern in the near future.
“He definitely should have something named after him,” James said following the Lakers’ 117-107 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. “Either if it’s an award, or, I don’t know, a day? During the course of an NBA season, there’s a ‘David Stern Day.’ I don’t know. We can figure it out.”
Stern is widely regarded as one of the greatest commissioners across all sports and he deserves all the credit for turning the NBA into the global force that it is today. In further celebration of Stern's life, LeBron posted the following message on instagram.
"I will never EVER forget when you called my name on stage and I shook your hand. My dream came true!!! Thank you for your commitment to the beautiful game of basketball that has changed so many young adult/kids lives and more importantly your vision to make our game become WORLDWIDE was a vision only you could make happen! You did just that. Making our game the greatest sport in the world! Was a honor to know you personally. Rest In Paradise David Stern! My prayers goes to your family and friends throughout this difficult time!"

LeBron James Responds To Not Being Named "Most Athletic" In 8th Grade
LeBron has deleted his tweet.
LeBron James may be the most athletic basketball player of the last two decades, but it appears that he was snubbed as an 8th grader. As reported by ESPN, a photo of James' eighth-grade yearbook resurfaced on Twitter and went viral. In the photo, Virgil Robinson was named as the most athletic kid in the class. To make matters worse, James' first name was misspelled and placed under the wrong photo. The yearbook had to publish an apology.
LeBron's high school teammate at the time, Romeo Travis, stood up for Robinson, who went on to play football at Bowling Green. "Virgil was the most athletic at the time. He played 3 sports," he argued. James responded with a since-deleted tweet which was littered crying and laughing emojis. "Man knock it off Rome! ... I don't care if he played 1 million sports, wasn't more athletic than me in 8th grade," he struck back. CJ McCollum decided to jump into the debate himself, tweeting, "We can’t just take y’all word . We need to hear from Virgil." It's nice that James decided to be humble and delete the tweet, but it would have been entertaining to watch the debate unfold further. James recently celebrated his 35th birthday and is entering his third decade in the NBA in 2020.
