Lil Yachty and G Herbo both came through with projects on Friday and it's safe to say that fans were both excited and satisfied. Yachty came through with his highly-anticipated Lil Boat 3 tape while Herbo dropped the deluxe version of PTSD. There is plenty of music here to dissect and over the last couple of days, fans have been adding their favorite tracks to their respective playlists.
Regardless of how good the music is, sales are always something that is highly debated in the industry. Your first week numbers can give people a glimpse of how well you're doing although there are many factors that go into how many units are sold. Having said that, according to DJ Akademiks, Lil Boat 3 is on track to sell 45K units in the first week while PTSD Deluxe is on pace for 27K units.
We're sure many of you in the comments will be debating whether or not these numbers are a W or an L. With this in mind, first week numbers certainly aren't the be all end all and all that truly matters is whether or not the music is good.
Let us know in the comments below what you thought of these projects.

Lil Yachty Announces "Lil Boat 3" Release Date
Lil Yachty comes through with some key information on his upcoming "Lil Boat 3" album, including the imminent release date.
While Lil Yachty has released an abundance of music throughout his relatively young career, many of his fans cite his Lil Boat album series as his best work thus far. The first installment was somewhat of a breakout for the Atlanta rapper, who won hearts and minds with his unique style and breezy melodies. The second arrived a little later on down the line, and by that point Boat's base were clamoring for more bars -- and thus, Lil Boat 2 was born, arriving with a splash in 2018.

Now, Boat is looking to make his aquatic franchise a trilogy. At long last, the Quality Control artist has lifted the curtains on his climactic chapter, announcing that Lil Boat 3 will be arriving on May 29th, clocking in at a staggering nineteen songs. At such a gargantuan runtime, it's set to be the longest of the trilogy so far -- though those expecting a more concise voyage might be left wanting as a result. Still, it's clear Yachty had a lot to say on this go-around, and it should be interesting to see which direction he pursues.
Given that we have yet to hear any music from the upcoming album, it's unclear whether he'll be following the melodic stylings of Boat 1 or the more rap-focused direction of Boat 2. In any case, Yachty has proven himself to be a solid captain -- let us see where he takes us on May 29th. Are you excited for Lil Boat 3?
Lil Yachty, Drake & DaBaby Get Jiggy To "Oprah’s Bank Account" On Triller
Lil Yachty’s new single with Drake and DaBaby, “Oprah’s Bank Account”, is definitely one to dance around to.
When speaking to Complex about his new single, “Oprah’s Bank Account”, Lil Yachty said, “I think the song’s so good and catchy, my fans will appreciate it. That’s the most important thing.” He wasn’t wrong. The first offering off his next album, Lil Boat 3, features Drake and DaBaby, and it’s an undeniable bop. Its got a sing-songy hook and a bubblegum beat. Yachty managed to secure these heavy-hitters to assist him on the track, but failed to get squeezed into the schedule of someone else who could have added an uplifting touch: Lizzo. Regardless, we’re fully satisfied with the final product.
It even came accompanied by a creative and hilarious music video. Yachty takes on the role of an Oprah-esque talk show host/self care guru. Drake and DaBaby are brought into the female mogul’s bizarre world of branding. All three of the rappers must have had a good time filming this playful video and proof of this is seen in the Triller clip they recorded on set too.
TikTok and Triller have become effective mediums for artists to promote their songs. If they dance along to their jams, fans might catch the bug and start doing it themselves, potentially setting off a chain of viral videos. Megan Thee Stallion just tried to capitalize off this formula by starting a sexy dance challenge for her new single, “Captain Hook”. Lil Yachty looks to be doing the same. He grabbed Drake and DaBaby to get jiggy to their collab for Triller purposes. Watch below.
Lil Yachty Announces "Lil Boat 3"
Lil Yachty confirms the release of “Lil Boat 3,” which will include his new single “Oprah’s Bank Account” with DaBaby and Drake.
Appearing as a highlight on the latest Quality Control compilation project, Lil Yachty is vying to shake things up on his own, which he commenced yesterday by releasing a hilarious video for his new single “Oprah’s Bank Account” with DaBaby and Drake. The video sees him dressing up in drag and playing the role of Boprah, hosting a fictional talk show and giving each audience member a boat as a parting gift. It was only a matter of time before this announcement came but, alas, here we are with news that Lil Boat 3 is officially confirmed.
On the anniversary of his first Lil Boat project, Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty released his latest single and, on the same day, he told the world that we could expect some more new music from him imminently.
“Lil Boat 3, coming soon,” wrote the creative red-haired recording artist. “Thank you for your patience. Please enjoy the new single ‘Oprah’s Bank Account.'”
At the bottom of the graphic, both album artworks are displayed for Lil Boat and Lil Boat 2, with a question mark placed over a third placeholder. We wouldn’t be surprised if he sticks with a nautical theme for this one, continuing a string of excellent cover artworks for Lil Yachty and ending the trilogy with a bang. One question remains though: will LB3 arrive before or after his collaborative project with Tee Grizzley?

Lil Yachty Details How Drake & DaBaby Replaced Lizzo On "Oprah’s Bank Account"
Lil Yachty’s lead single off of “Lil Boat 3” feature Drake and DaBaby but “Oprah’s Bank Account” was originally supposed to feature Lizzo.
Lil Yachty gifted us with a new single today, the first off of his forthcoming project, Lil Boat 3. “Oprah’s Bank Account” is an upbeat bop with Drake and DaBaby who also appear in the music video but apparently, the single was originally supposed to feature Lizzo.
Speaking to Complex, Lil Yachty explained that the single is meant for his fans to kick off the campaign for his forthcoming project. “I think the song’s so good and catchy, my fans will appreciate it. That’s the most important thing,” he said. “My album’s done. My album is coming very soon. I haven’t spoken on it yet, but it’s coming. It’s ending the trilogy to my Lil Boat series.”
He continued to reveal that DaBaby and Drake ended up on the song by accident after he never heard back from Lizzo. “I did the song by myself. DaBaby, he had a meet and greet in Atlanta, and I went. I didn’t necessarily know he was going to like this song or want to get on it. I didn’t play it for him and he hadn’t heard it. But I hung out with him for three or four hours there, and I was like, “You want to go to the studio?” He came and I played it, and he loved it,” he said.
“It’s so crazy because I originally wanted to put Lizzo on it,” he continued. “I sent it to her, and I don’t want to say she didn’t like it, because she never got back to me on it, which was cool. I understand people are busy. And then I posted a snippet on my finsta. Drake follows my finsta, which is crazy. And he was like, “Yo, this is dope,” which blew my mind. Of course that’s the homie, but him showing love like that, [was cool]. Then he [told me to] send it through. I didn’t know he was serious, but he got on it.”
As fitting as Lizzo would’ve been on the track, it seems like the addition of Drake and DaBaby will make this song a certified banger as we enter the spring. Keep your eyes peeled for Lil Boat 3.
