Exactly two weeks to the day, we reported on how a fan stumbled across a new piece of Los Angeles Rams merchandise that featured a new logo. At the time, it was being reported that this was a leak of what the Rams logo would look like in 2020. Fans were incredibly upset since the insignia looked way too much like that of the Los Angeles Chargers. While the logo went viral, many tried to say it was simply not true and that the Rams marketing department would see the outcry and immediately change up their efforts.
Well, every Rams fan's fear was confirmed today as the team took to social media where they officially unveiled the logo. As you can see, the yellow part kind of looks like the Chargers thunderbolt. The Rams made sure to post another image after revealing that this is simply a shortened version of the insignia and that the yellow is meant to signify the Rams' horns.
As you can imagine, the reactions to this new logo were even more labored than the first time around. People had some strong feelings towards the new Rams insignia and they made sure to bring the memes on Twitter.

Todd Gurley Released By Rams Following Trade Exploration
The Los Angeles Rams were trying to trade Gurley but they were never able to come to a deal.
A couple of years ago, Todd Gurley was considered to be one of the best running backs in the entire league and he was starting to get paid like it. In 2018, he signed a $60 million deal with the team and that same season, he helped lead the Rams to the Super Bowl. During that same postseason, he suffered an injury to his knee which severely affected his production. This past season, Gurley was a shell of his former self and it was becoming clear that his injury woes were hurting the Rams.
Today, we reported that the Rams were exploring a trade for Gurley. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams were unable to find a deal and decided to release Gurley, thus making him a free agent. The Rams made this move today because it means they don't have to pay him the $10.5 million he was owed.
In total, Gurley only made $26 million from his $60 million deal which just goes to show how tough it is to be a running back these days. There is certainly a team that could use him right now but he is well outside of his prime right now.
The Rams recently put out a video in which they thanked the running back for his time with the team.
L.A. Rams In Talks For Blockbuster Todd Gurley Trade: Report
Los Angeles Rams are reportedly set on trading veteran running back Todd Gurley.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley could be the next big NFL name on the move, as Pro Football Talk reports that the Rams are currently in discussions regarding a trade for the two-time All-Pro talent. In fact, ESPN's Jeff Darlington (H/T Evan Silva) mentioned on Wednesday that Gurley is "likelier than not to be traded" in the near future.

Gurley, who was selected 10th overall by the Rams out of Georgia in the 2015 NFL Draft, signed a massive four-year, $60 million contract extension prior to the 2018 season and responded by racking up over 1,800 yards from scrimmage with 21 total touchdowns (17 on the ground). However, he suffered a knee injury towards the tail end of that campaign and has been splitting carries ever since. Last season, TGIII rushed for just 857 yards, although he did find the endzone a total of 14 times.
It's unclear which teams are in talks with the Rams on a potential Gurley trade, but if they get in contact with the Houston Texans they might be able to land Deshaun Watson, JJ Watt and multiple first round picks. If the Rams can't find a realistic trade partner, NFL Network's Michael Silver reports that the 25-year old running back could be cut.
"[Gurley] has a big contract, the Rams have paid some other guys, and they want to move forward without him," Silver said on Wednesday. "They may cut [Gurley] if they can't find a trading partner when all is said and done."
Rams New Logo Leaks, And It’s Pretty Awful
How could they have gotten this so wrong?
Marketing is both an art and a science. Coming up with activations and artwork that will keep people engaged can be quite difficult. When it comes to sports teams, these rules apply the most. Logos are what make teams recognizable. Every few years, some teams will change their logo in an attempt to rebrand and make themselves more attractive to younger audiences. According to a recent leak on , the Los Angeles Rams are trying to do just that.
In the post below, you can see a baseball cap with the new Rams logo on it. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This logo does, in fact, look like it was intended for the Los Angeles Chargers. Just look at the crest above the "LA." It looks like the Chargers thunderbolt. Well, apparently this is for the Rams which realistically, makes very little sense.
Fans immediately noticed the similarities with the Chargers logo and pointed them out on social media. Rams fans were downright offended by the new logo and vowed to never buy merch with the insignia. The Rams have yet to comment on the leak and whether or not this is a real logo. If it is the real deal, we can only imagine what the Rams marketing department is going through right now. Perhaps yet another redesign could be on the way.

Exclusive Yeezy Boost 700 Revealed For Rams’ Jalen Ramsey
Sneaker customizer reveals Jalen Ramsey’s new Yeezy Boost 700, inspired by Union LA’s Air Jordan collabs.
Kanye West‘s Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 has been reworked once again by sneaker customizer Huy Le, this time as part of a project for Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The special edition kicks pull on inspiration from Union Los Angeles’ wildly popular Air Jordan 1 collaboration – and if you ask me I think they were executed to perfection.
Just like the Union AJ1, black overlays contrast the off-white upper, while the splashes of red in the Boost midsole serve as a nod to the red heel of the exclusive collab that they are inspired by.
As a further play on the Union AJ1, the custom Yeezy 700s also come equipped with reverse stitch detailing around the ankle collar as well as yellow laces referencing the color of the ‘Union LA’ tag.
