It's well documented that the G League is trying to find new ways to allow young players to develop within their league. In fact, they are starting a brand new program that includes a "Select Team" full of young high school prospects who have decided to forego college. One of the first players to join the team is none other than the number one high school prospect Jalen Green.
Now, the G League is looking to secure a training hub for the team and it seems like they are looking no further than Kobe Bryant's Mamba Sports Academy. According to Chris Haynes, a deal has not yet been put into place although it is looking increasingly likely that the Mamba Sports Academy will play host to this groundbreaking new team.
"Although the partnership with the Mamba Sports Academy is not official with other venues still being considered, the committed prep stars and the those still deliberating joining the G League are of the mindset that they will be training at the academy for the 2020-21 season," Haynes wrote.
If this goes through, this will certainly be a huge move that speaks to the legacy of Kobe Bryant. We're sure he'd be proud to see those young players making a name for themselves at his facility.

Jordyn Woods Gets Trolled For Going To Kobe Bryant’s Gym For Clout
One of Jordyn Woods’ followers remarked that suddenly working out at Mamba Sports Academy seemed “clout-ish.”
While most people manage to go the gym frequently in January and then abandon the healthy lifestyle for the rest of the year, Jordyn Woods appears to do the opposite. On Monday (Feb. 10), she took to Instagram to inform her 11 million followers that she’s back on her workout grind and she’s reviving the new year’s resolution spirit.
The influencer captioned two videos of her doing exercises: “getting back to it????who’s with me!? what are your 2020 fitness goals? (That was my first time doing the second machine but after the 5th set I was a lot more graceful ?) for those of you asking the first workout is all for core strength.” A follower expressed appreciation in the comments for Woods sharing the not-so-graceful set, to which she replied that she has “to keep it real.”
In contrast, another follower criticized Woods for suddenly deciding to work out at the fitness facility that Kobe Bryant founded after his passing. “This seems very clout-ish. Mamba Sports Academy? Since when…? ?” Woods’ friend came to her defense in the replies, explaining that she was the one who had invited Woods to come workout with her there. “People just have anything to say,” Woods commented, brushing off the hater.
In the caption for this post, Woods also plugged her company, FRSTPLACE, which supplies fitness guides.

Kobe Bryant Spent Saturday On Daddy-Daughter Date With 3-Year-Old Bianka Bryant
A beautiful memory.
The last moments for the nine people who lost their lives in the Calabasas helicopter crash is something that no one could imagine. Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria-Onore “GiGi” Bryant were killed in the accident along with John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, 13-year-old Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and pilot Ara Zobayan. As devastating as this news continues to be for a world mourning an icon, it’s reported that Kobe’s last hours were spent with his daughters.
It was previously reported that on Sunday (January 26) morning, prior to boarding the helicopter with his daughter and seven others—which was headed to the Mamba Sports Academy in nearby Thousand Oaks, California—Kobe and Gianna went to church together. According to The Daily Mail, the father-daughter duo attended “Catholic Mass and received Communion at the Cathedral of Our Lady Queen of the Angels in Newport Beach.”
TMZ now reports that the day prior on Saturday (January 25), Kobe spent the late afternoon with his three-year-old daughter Bianka Bryant enjoying the simpler things life has to offer as they strolled around Newport Beach’s Fashion Island Mall. The pair were captured on camera as Kobe watched his toddler admire the koi pond (you can check out that brief clip here). It’s reported that the Bryant family frequently visited the Fashion Island Mall and that it was a normal occurrence to see the icon with his girls at many of the Orange County city’s local establishments. Kobe Bryant’s Daughter Gianna Honored By Uni. Of Conn Women’s Basketball Team: "Forever A Husky"
She was a star in the making.
She was just a teen following in her superstar father’s footsteps. Gianna Maria-Onore “GiGi” Bryant always made it clear that although her basketball icon dad Kobe Bryant didn’t have any sons, she was still capable enough to carry on his legacy. Their last moments together were reportedly at church that fateful Sunday (January 26) morning before they would attempt to make their way to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy along with seven others for basketball practice. Sadly, they would perish together in a helicopter crash along with seven others.

Our thoughts are with the Bryant family,” the team shared on its Instagram page after verifying news reports. “Mamba Mentality will live on forever, but they are deeply missed. ?.” On Monday, the team returned with another post, this time in tribute to Gianna.
