Mark Wahlberg's past is catching up with him after he shared a post in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. On Thursday (June 4th), the actor posted a photo of the late George Floyd who was murdered by police last month in Minneapolis. "The murder of George Floyd is heartbreaking," Mark wrote. "We must all work together to fix this problem. I'm praying for all of us. God bless. #blacklivesmatter."
Many were quick to point out Mark's hypocrisy considering his violent history of hate crimes against people of colour. One Twitter user responded to Mark's tweet with a screenshot of the section of his Wikipedia page titled "Hate Crimes," the first of which occurred in June 1986.
According to court documents, Mark and his friends chased three Black children while yelling "kill the n***er, kill the n***er." The next day, they found one of the same kids on a field trip, and threw rocks at him and his Black classmates while yelling racial epithets and "summon[ing] other white males who joined" in the harassment. A civil action lawsuit was filed against Mark and later settled, although the three victims made it clear that they would never forgive him. "A racist will always be a racist," said one of the victims.
Mark also committed two more (known) hate crimes in 1988. In the same day, he attacked two Vietnamese American men at different times while calling them racial slurs. He knocked the first unconscious with a wooden stick and punched the second, whose name is Johnny Trinh, so hard in the eye he thought he'd blinded him. Mark was charged with attempted murder, pleaded guilty to felony assault, and was sentenced to two years in jail, but only served 45 days. In 2014, Mark appealed for a pardon for his hate crime convictions, but prosecutor Judith Beals argued that "Wahlberg has never acknowledged the racial nature of his crimes" and it appears as though many activists agree. Many expressed that Mark needed to fully atone for his horrific past before making any claim to support a Black movement.
DJ Khaled Wants To Star In Mark Wahlberg’s Next Film
DJ Khaled told his good buddy, Mark Wahlberg, that he’s “available anytime” to star in his next film.
DJ Khaled and Mark Wahlberg have been good friends for awhile now, and it looks like they may become co-stars sometime soon, as well. On Wednesday (May 20th), Khaled posted some screenshots of he and his Bostonian buddy on FaceTime, indicating that they were discussing the possibility of working together in the near future. According to Khaled, the actor wants to recruit him for his next big screen project.
“Bless up @markwahlberg,” Khaled wrote on the Instagram post, which also featured a screenshot of Mark FaceTiming with Khaled’s wife, Nicole Tuck, and his eldest son, Asahd. “@markwahlberg was checking on my availability for the next big film,” he continued. “Also checking in wit my famliy thank u. At this moment mark was telling his team KHALED said he’s available anytime for us. Luv always @markwahlberg bless up !”

Although it’s unclear when Mark would even be able to star in another film project, considering most productions have been put on pause indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, we’d definitely be interested in seeing he and Khaled on screen together. While he’s primarily known for his music, Khaled has in fact dabbled in the acting game here and there. Most recently, he appeared in the third instalment of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s Bad Boys franchise early this year, titled Bad Boys for Life, for which he also served as the curator of the soundtrack. As for Mark, he recently produced and starred in the Netflix film, Spenser Confidential, alongside another music star, Post Malone, in his debut acting role.

According to Variety, the premise of Wahl Street will simply be a day-in-the-life series that shows the many sides of Wahlberg’s career, from actor and entrepreneur to his personal life and the people within it. As an added bonus, each episode will also feature many entrepreneurs, inventors and aspiring business owners that will be pitching Mark on new opportunities in an attempt to gain his endorsement, almost sounding like a Shark Tank-style component thrown into the mix. The official HBO Max description says “viewers will learn about his successes and failures and glean powerful business and life lessons while also getting to know the cast of colorful characters that make up Wahlberg’s real-life entourage.” In short, we probably can expect this to play out a lot like Entourage, the hit HBO fictional series that was loosely based on Mark Wahlberg’s rise in Hollywood, except this time IRL. Let’s just hope Post Malone makes a cameo appearance in at least one episode!
Wahl Street officially began filming in December 2019. Unrealistic Ideas, Wahlberg’s production company alongside Stephen Levinson and Archie Gips, will serve as executive producers in addition to Liz Bronstein.
Mark Wahlberg Says He Tried To Warn Post Malone About The Regret Of Face Tattoos
Mark Wahlberg says he tried to tell Post Malone about the regret of getting tattoos.
During a recent visit on the James Corden show, Mark Wahlberg was asked about his decision to remove his tattoos, and how dreadfully painful it was. The topic came up after they were talking about Mark’s fellow Netflix co-star Post Malone, who will be featured with him in the upcoming crime film Spenser Confidential. During the talk, Mark revealed he had 8 or 9 tattoos removed over the course about five years.
“I had like, eight or nine, but all the way around my neck, my stomach, my arms, my back, my leg…”. He says they were lasered off, which Wahlberg said was because of “Maturity. Sensibility.”
Next, Cordon asked Wahlberg if he had any advice for his co-star Post Malone. “Did you ever pull Post Malone aside and go, ‘listen’?” to which Marky Mark said he has. Wahlberg said he tried to warn the Dallas rapper about face tattoos and how he could regret them when he’s older.
“Yes I have, and you know what, he’s now since added more to his face,” replied Wahlberg. “And I’m like, it’s not the same sitting down, having a couple of beers, you know you could fall asleep, all of a sudden you wake up, it’s one and done. This is like, it took me five years to get the tattoos removed. And it’s dreadfully painful,” he added.
The actor continued: “He says what every kid says, what I said when I got my tattoos. ‘Oh no, no, no, they all have meaning. I’m going to keep them forever.’ But then you realise, I’m pushing 40, I’ve gotta do something about this.”
Check out the discussion (below) and let us know what you think. Will Post regret his face tattoos when he’s older or nah?

“If Tom goes somewhere else, I’ll support him. He’s given us so much joy in six Super Bowls. I can root for him,” Wahlberg told Kimmel.
“I think he has an idea of what he wants to do, and I want him to do what’s best for him and his family. He’s brought us so much joy. I think hopefully the Patriots will be smart enough to pay him. I think if not, the Raiders are obviously an option,” said Wahlberg. “He’s gonna want to go somewhere where he can win.”
Wahlberg worked with Brady on his film Ted 2, where Brady made a cameo as himself during the movie.
Kimmel asks whether Brady likes him or Matt Damon more, to which Wahlberg responds, “Me. I actually put him in a movie. We immortalized him in Ted 2.”
Recent reports from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington suggest Brady is likely to leave New England: “Tom Brady is currently operating under the belief that he will enter free agency to play somewhere other than New England next season,” he said.
Post Malone Thanks Mark Wahlberg For Debut Acting Role With Wahlburgers
While walking into the premiere of “Spenser Confidential,” Mark Wahlberg got a special Postmates delivery from Post Malone in the form of Wahlburgers.
Post Malone makes his acting debut in the Netflix movie Spenser Confidential, and he has the film’s leading star & co-producer Mark Wahlberg to thank for fighting to make sure the “Sunflower” emcee landed a good part. So, to thank his fellow thespian, Posty decided to order hundreds of burgers from Wahlberg’s burger joint Wahlburgers for the entire premiere party to chow down on.

Malone couldn’t walk the West Hollywood black carpet premiere due to a scheduling conflict with his Runaway Tour in Washington, D.C. To make up for his absence, Posty scheduled for the burgers to arrive at the same time that Mark did, and even made sure to send a special video note to vocally show his gratitude for the movie role recommendation (seen above). “Sorry I couldn’t be at the premiere tonight,” Malone said in the video according to Variety, following up by saying, “I love you so much, but I Postmated something very special to make up for it.”
Mark was equally as gracious for the gesture, telling Variety while at the premiere, “Posty and I have been friends for a long time and I know Posty is always going to Wahlburgers when he’s not in the studio.” He also added that director Peter Berg wasn’t 100% behind casting Malone in the role being that he had no prior experience and didn’t have time to audition. Ultimately Wahlberg rode for the homie, saying “not only did I convince Pete to hire him, I also convinced him to give [Malone] two parts and combine them.”
Read what Mark had to say about coaching post Malone in his first acting role, Variety:
“When we finally got to the set — we were actually at Posty’s trailer — Posty would not rehearse the scene and he wouldn’t do his real voice. He was making some crazy voice, so Pete was even more scared,” Wahlberg recalled. “You could tell Posty was a little nervous…but then we went in and on the first take he absolutely killed it.”

Dr. Oz Wants To Make Mark Wahlberg Throw Up During Their Competitive Workout
Dr. Oz wants all the smoke with Mark Wahlberg
Over the past several years, Mark Wahlberg has become an advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle. The Boogie Nights actor is even inspiring his peers and catching the attention of MMA fighters with his newly-acquired physique. However, in recent weeks, professional health advisor and heart surgeon, Dr. Mehmet Oz has been promoting intermittent fasting to his millions of devoted followers and Mark Wahlberg aggressively disagreed stating that the fasting method is unnecessary, sparking one of the strangest beefs in celebrity history.
After Dr. Oz posted two videos of himself in action, Mark Wahlberg posted a video himself in the gym alongside Dr. Christopher Vincent declaring his contempt for fasting as he mocked the health guru stating:
“If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hungover, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 pushups with one leg, your assisted pullup, I’m telling you, you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you, alright, I’m the real thing, this is 30 years of training. I can’t even take my vitamins and digest them without any food. You got to eat that food. Food is your friend.”
Since then, the two have traded their jabs at one another but recently, Page Six ran into the author/television personality at the Blue Jacket Fashion Show and he revealed to the publication that he believes that he can make Mark eat his words and literally throw them up. Dr. Oz jokingly bragged:
“I feel confident, very confident, supremely confident. I think he’s a good athlete, he’ll be a good loser. I want the visual of his breakfast coming up as we finish the competition.”
While the 59-year-old genuinely believes he has the endurance, stamina, and strength to outwork the chiseled actor/entrepreneur in Mark Wahlberg in the gym, no official competition has been arranged for the too to contend in. However, the two will eventually have to cross paths.
Check out Mark Wahlberg calling out Dr. Oz in the video provided below.
Tom Holland-Led "Uncharted" Film Delayed Until March 2021

The film will now be released on March 5, 2021, a date that was previously held for Sony’s “Master of the Universe.” “Masters of the Universe” no longer has a release date scheduled.
Uncharted stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor Sully. The director spot is currently vacant.
Earlier this month, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Ruben Fleischer was the company’s first choice to take over behind the camera. He’s recently lent his talents to Venom and Zombieland 2. Travis Knight had to give up the job after a scheduling conflict.
Uncharted has seen six directors and faced numerous delays since it was announced in 2008. Wahlberg was originally set to star as Drake, but in the time since, he’s aged out of the character and has been moved into the Sully role.
The story is expected to take place prior to the events from the first installment of the PlayStation video game series created by Naughty Dog. The latest game in the series is 2017’s Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Naughty Dog’s newest game has also been delayed. The Last of Us Part II releases on May 29, 2020.
Mark Wahlberg & Dr. Oz Go Public With Their Feud On Importance Of Eating Breakfast
Who you got?
Mark Wahlberg didn’t get as buff and fit as he is by not putting in crazy amounts of effort into his meal and work out plans. The Fighter actor has preached in the past about his 4 AM workouts and meal plans and despite all of his knowledge on staying healthy Dr. Oz does not agree with Mark on how breakfast is a very important meal of the day. Dr. Mehmet Oz, who has his own show on health, claims that intermittent fasting is one of the healthiest things one can do for their body but Mark’s calling bullshit and the duo have now taken it to Instagram.

“Listen, we got beef now. You don’t want this smoke, trust me,” Mark said in a video on Instagram. “If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hung over, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 push-ups with one leg, your assisted pull-up, I’m telling you you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you.”
Dr. Oz followed up with a video of his own that sees him doing push ups. “I watched your video and heard the taunting … I would eat normally but I skip breakfast, I skip lunch. I feel stronger than ever because I’m intermittent fasting, which you should learn more about,” he said between push-ups. “The ball’s in your court, my friend. Anytime, anywhere … By the way, those pull-ups, they were real.”
Mark then followed up with another video telling the doc to grab his defibrillator because he’s going to need it after they go head to head but Dr. Oz came through with the last word.
“Hey Mark, I gotta say nice muscles but I still haven’t seen you work out yet,” he said. “You keep talking about defibrillators. I’m sure you played with one in a movie once, but I’m here in the hospital and I actually play with real devices that save real lives … when you work out with that full stomach of yours, I’m going to be defibrillating you.”
Post Malone Displays Acting Chops In Trailer For New Netflix Movie
Post’s tattoos suit him well in this role.
Post Malone is a pretty talented individual when it comes to the world of music. Of course, this is something we have seen through his hit singles and chart-topping albums. When you reach the same level of success as Post Malone, you become recognized on a global stage. When some of the biggest artists achieve superstardom in music, they look elsewhere to ease their desire for artistic expression. As it turns out, film is something Malone is interested in. Thanks to Mark Wahlberg’s new Netflix movie Spenser Confidential, Malone will get to see what movies are like, first hand.
Yes, that’s right, Malone will have a small role as a prison inmate in the film. The trailer for the film was released today and Malone is front and center. As you can see, he has quite a few interactions with Wahlberg and it appears as though he’ll get quite a bit of screen time.
Fans of the Hollywood Is Bleeding artist will certainly be looking forward to this cameo. For now, Spenser Confidential is slated to come out on March 6th, 2020 through Netflix.
Let us know what you thought of the trailer and whether or not you plan on catching the film when it comes out later this year.
