She has a No. 1 charting song with Beyoncé and has quickly become a woman in the rap game who is a force to be reckoned with, but Megan Thee Stallion isn't letting a little fame and fortune deter her from her higher education goals. The Houston native has had quite a year as she's celebrated the release of a new project and collaborated with some of the hottest artists in the game as she also mourned the death of her mother. While she does bring in a bit of controversy from naysayers, the rapper is determined to be a motivational voice for young people looking to pursue their dreams.

Aside from being a sought after artist, Megan Thee Stallion is also finishing up her college degree. She's actively pursuing her bachelor's degree in health administration from Texas Southern University, recently sharing that she hopes to not only open a care facility for people in need, but she wants to employ her classmates, as well.
On Friday, the 25-year-old dropped off a bit of advice for the masses, which seems to be inspired by the times we're living in. "Although school is not for everyone do not let people discourage you from pursuing a higher education," she tweeted. "We need the upcoming generation with better mindsets to become our next lawyers, judges, doctors, etc. We need GOOD people with real morals and values in high places." Check out her tweet below.
Megan Thee Stallion Jumps Into The Splits & Twerks In "Dear Class Of 2020" Show
Megan Thee Stallion shocked the world when she jumped into the splits and shook her booty during her "Dear Class of 2020" performance.
Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, students around the world have had to alter their graduation plans this year. Instead of holding a big ceremony with family and friends cheering on students as they walk across the stage and accept their diplomas, a virtual gathering was held with star-studded speeches and performances.
Beyoncé, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, BTS, and more were all present to deliver wise words to the graduating class of 2020, contributing to the "Dear Class of 2020" event. Megan Thee Stallion is also being celebrated for her high-energy performance, which also doubled as a tour of her home.
One moment, in particular, is being praised as "epic" when the Stallion performed her break-out hit "Big Ole Freak" before jumping into the splits on her couch and twerking for the camera.
"I know Megan did not just jump into a split on di couch and bounce with it," wrote one graduating student in pure disbelief.
During her performance, Megan sang her #1 hit "Savage," "Cash Shit," "Hot Girl Summer," "Captain Hook," and more.
While this was not one of the most inspiring moments of the live-stream -- that goes to either Queen Bey or the Obamas -- this was certainly one of the more entertaining performances of the night.
DaBaby Rises, Megan Thee Stallion Slides, & Lady Gaga Wins In Hot 100 Update
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande go #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their collaborative single "Rain On Me."
Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé teamed up to deliver an ultra-hyped remix of "Savage," which eventually carried its weight all the way to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. After spending just one week at the pole position, the song has slid down one spot to allow room for Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande to grab the throne.
With the release of her anticipated new album Chromatica, Lady Gaga is preparing to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week. Already, she's celebrating this new era in her storied career with a brand new #1 single in "Rain On Me," which marks the second time that Ariana Grande has been featured at the top of the chart this year.
One week after experiencing his highest peak on the chart, DaBaby beat his own personal record and peaked again at #3 with "ROCKSTAR," his latest collaboration with Roddy Ricch.
The following two spots are saved for two songs that have had their own dominant runs on the Hot 100: The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and Doja Cat's "Say So."
This is the third all-female collaboration to strike the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 in recent weeks. It is also the first of the bunch to debut at #1 in the chart's history. In addition to that, this becomes Lady Gaga's fifth #1 single and Ariana Grande's fourth.
Megan Thee Stallion Geeks Out Over Texting Beyoncé After "Savage" Success
Megan Thee Stallion explains how the “Savage” remix came into fruition.
Megan Thee Stallion recently made history with the success of “Savage” and its subsequent remix featuring Beyonce. Meg’s previously stated that working with B would be her dream collaboration, though, without an actual debut album to her name, she still made it happen. Largely due to her Roc Nation management, she recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight where she explained how the remix came about.

Initially receiving a text from someone on her team confirming that Queen B would hop on the remix, she explained that she texted Jay numerous times thanking him for getting the remix to come to life. “After I heard the song, I texted Jay-Z like five times like, ‘Oh my god, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.’ And then Beyonce texted me the next day. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Beyonce got my number.’… She texted me two, three times the next day and the day after that. I’m like, ‘Girl, I’m friends with Beyonce.”
Megan Thee Stallion also spoke on the importance of seeing herself, Doja Cat, Beyonce and Nicki Minaj hold down the the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Four women toppin’ the charts? When was the last time? Like, four Black women, at that,” Meg said. “We really out here doing the damn thing.”

Megan Thee Stallion Shares Famous Tupac Clip To Explain Rioting Against Racism
Megan Thee Stallion used some of Tupac’s famous wise words to express why Black Americans are rioting against racism in the wake of George Floyd’s murder.
Megan Thee Stallion let Tupac speak for her to explain why Black folks are rioting across the country to protest George Floyd’s murder by police. As these demonstrations continue to spread across America and tensions begin to rise, many observers have criticized rioters for looting and destroying their communities rather than conducting peaceful marches and protests against racism. However, others have pointed out that Black folks have reached beyond their limit of this type of treatment, and that this is the only thing left to do.

Megan Thee Stallion shared a famous clip of Tupac from an interview in 1994 in which he uses a metaphor to explain why Black folks are no longer asking to be treated equally after centuries of oppression. “If I know that, in this hotel room, they have food every day, and I knock on the door every day to eat,” Tupac explains in the clip, “and they open the door, let me see the party, just throwing food around, and they’re telling me there’s no food in here. Every day….”
“I’m standing outside tryna sing my way in: ‘We are hungry, please let us in,'” he continues. “After about a week, that song’s gonna change to ‘We hungry, we need some food.’ After two, three weeks, it’s like, ‘Give me the food or I’m breaking down the door.’ After years it’s like, I’m pickin’ the lock, comin’ through the door blastin’. It’s like, you hungry, you reached your level. We asked ten years ago. We was asking with the Panthers. We was asking with the Civil Rights Movement. Now those people that were asking, they’re all dead or in jail, so now what do you think we’re gonna do?” Megan then captioned the post, “We’ve been asking.”
Young Dolph & Megan Thee Stallion Dropping Juicy J-Produced Banger Tonight
Young Dolph announced that he’ll be dropping “RNB,” produced by Juicy J and featuring Megan Thee Stallion, tonight at midnight.
Young Dolph and Megan Thee Stallion have joined forces with Juicy J to deliver “RNB,” a new single dropping tonight at midnight. On Thursday (May 28th), Dolph posted an image on Instagram depicting a drawing of a woman on the phone, wearing a blue wig and a pink Chanel outfit. A thought bubble above her head reads “RNB…” the name of the rapper’s new collaboration with fellow Texan, Megan Thee Stallion, dropping in a few short hours.
“Young Dolph ft @theestallion ‘RNB’ produce by: @juicyj,” Dolph wrote, along with a ton of fire and moneybag emojis. “TONIGHT @ MIDNIGHT.” It appears as though the Memphis rapper wiped his entire IG feed clean in honour of the impending release. His account currently bears only one post, the “RNB” announcement post with the official single art, which also serves as Dolph’s profile photo now.

Despite announcing his retirement from music back in March, Dolph has made a few separate promises to deliver new music since, but has failed to pull through. He did, however, stay true to his word last month when he dropped his single, “Sunshine,” a scathing critique of Donald Trump that also serves as a quarantine anthem. Let’s hope that this Juicy J-produced banger featuring the self-proclaimed Houston Hottie is actually brought to fruition, as well.
Megan Thee Stallion’s Label Celebrates Her #1 Despite Legal Drama
Carl Crawford, the CEO of the label that signed Megan Thee Stallion, celebrated her hit “Savage” going No. 1 despite their legal battle over her contract.
Megan Thee Stallion earned her first No. 1 hit this week with “Savage,” and her label surprisingly couldn’t be happier. On Tuesday (May 26th), Billboard reported that Megan and Beyoncé’s remix of “Savage” had risen to the top of the Hot 100 chart, marking the former’s first ever No. 1 of her career. Megan was thrilled, of course, and Bey even sent her a bouquet of flowers to congratulate her on her incredible feat.

Someone we may not have expected to join in on the celebratory festivities was Carl Crawford, the CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment to which Megan is signed. However, on Tuesday, Carl took to the official 1501 Instagram page to relish in the joy of “Savage” going No. 1.
“#1! We did it for our city!” Carl wrote on a clip of one of Beyoncé’s verses on the remix. “Waking up to good news is a blessing man, and coming together for this collaboration was a no brainer. I’m so proud of everyone involved in making this project happen and the help that has been given to Bread of Life, Houston through its success. We’ve gotten to feed so many people in need because the fans showed up n showed out and streamed! We did this together! I’m just grateful.”

Although the song was released 1501 on Megan’s EP Suga back in March, Carl fails to mention her at all in the post. If you recall, the two of them were embroiled in some legal drama prior to the release of Suga, after Megan exposed the label for preventing her from releasing new music due to the conditions of her contract. She was granted permission by the court to release the project against the label’s wishes after she sued them, so it’s interesting that Carl is celebrating the exciting feat at all.
Megan Thee Stallion Gets Flowers From Beyoncé, Shows Off Acting Skills On IG
Megan Thee Stallion received a floral arrangement from Beyoncé to celebrate her first No. 1 single, and later she tested her acting skills on Instagram.
This is a monumental moment for Megan Thee Stallion. The rookie rapper has had a whirlwind two years as she’s risen through the ranks to become one of the most sought after artists in the industry, and it was recently announced that she received her first No. 1 single. With the help of Beyoncé, who hopped on the remix to “Savage,” Megan Thee Stallion has reached a goal that she previously only dreamed of accomplishing. To help celebrate, Beyoncé made sure that Megan felt special.

Megan Thee Stallion posted a Boomerang video of her floral arrangement from Bey along with a card that reads, “Congrats on your number on queen, Love B.” Over the clip Megan wrote, “We did that, thank you queen.” Meanwhile, in another post on her Instagram page, Meg showed off her acting skills by remaking a scene from Scary Movie. It’s obviously one of her favorites because she penned in the caption that she’s still wishing for a role in another installment of the series, if the opportunity ever presented itself.
“I wish they still made ‘Scary Movie’ so I could be in it ? I love Brenda !!! @tiktok,” the rapper wrote. Check out the posts below.
Megan Thee Stallion Earns First #1 Single With "Savage"
Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé rise to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as Tekashi 6ix9ine and Justin Bieber & Ariana Grande drop out of the Top 10.
The Billboard Hot 100 was a whole mess last week as Tekashi 6ix9ine was battling Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande for the top spot on the chart. Fast forward seven days and neither one of those two songs, "GOOBA" and "Stuck With U", are even in the Top 10.
For the first time ever, Megan Thee Stallion has a #1 single as "Savage" with Beyoncé has officially been launched to the top. In its tenth week on the Hot 100, the song rises four spots to reach #1.
With "Savage" topping the chart, history has been made again as two all-female collaborations have been #1 in the same year. This is the first year that has ever happened.
It is followed directly by Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj's collaboration for "Say So." The song remains at #2 despite the current controversies facing the Los Angeles singer.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Hot 100, DaBaby earns his highest-charting single of all-time as "ROCKSTAR" with Roddy Ricch has surpassed "Suge," clocking in at #4.
The usual culprits remain on the chart with Post Malone's "Circles," Roddy Ricch's "The Box," Future and Drake's "Life Is Good," and other songs all keeping their places in the Hot 100.
Congratulations to Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé on their new #1!
Megan Thee Stallion & Tory Lanez Are Still Chilling During Quarantine
Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and another baddie risk it all during quarantine for some time together.
The first time that Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez linked up to chill during quarantine earned them each a fair helping of backlash from concerned fans accusing them of not taking the coronavirus prevention measures seriously. Apparently, they decided to risk it all again to see one another, hanging out and posting some of the fun on social media.
Taking to the ‘gram, Megan Thee Stallion showed off her bikini body next to her friend, wearing matching swimsuits and causing everybody to do a double-take. Aside from her friend’s tattoos and the difference in their belly buttons, these two are basically twins.
From the looks of Megan’s social media diary of last night, she and her bestie had a great time, twerking to Tory Lanez’s new record “Temperature Rising” and just enjoying each other’s company. However, taking a look at Lanez’s own story though, he revealed that he was in the room as well. I guess that makes sense, given their choice of soundtrack.
This is not the first time that Tory and Megan have met up during quarantine but we won’t be so quick to assume that they’re more than just friends. Their hang-out session last night appeared to be fully platonic and, considering there was a third wheel, we don’t think anything serious went down.
What do you think of their blossoming friendship?
