Tiffany Haddish gave the perfect response to all the noise about her conduct at George Floyd’s memorial service, in which she supposedly shifted the spotlight onto herself. On Thursday (June 4th), hundreds gathered at a chapel in Minneapolis to honour the late George Floyd, whose recent murder at the hands of the police set off protests across the country and around the world against police brutality and systemic racism. Many celebrities were in attendance, including rappers like T.I. and Ludacris as well as comedians like Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish.
At one point during his moving speech, Rev. Al Sharpton decided to take a moment to acknowledge all the celebrity attendees. When it was brought to his attention that he forgot to mention Tiffany, it appeared that he hadn’t even realized she was present. "Is Tiffany here?" he asked, to which her muffled voice could be heard responding.
The moment garnered a ton of backlash, some criticizing Tiffany for supposedly “centering” herself at a memorial service, especially considering the circumstances of the deceased’s death. Others found it strange that Sharpton was even giving shout outs to the famous folks in the room in the first place. Regardless of the reason, Tiffany decided that she had to speak on this collective outrage and steer the focus back to what’s really important.

“I usually don’t give space to the bullsh*t that some people spew about me, not today,” she tweeted on Thursday night. “We are in the middle of the fight for our lives. I was blessed and honored to be asked to attend the memorial service of George Floyd, our brother, who was murdered, which led us to this moment.”
“Please don’t squander this critical moment to make sh*t up about me,” she continued. “Channel that energy into important work…like honoring our fallen brothers and sisters and stopping this horrible cycle once and for all.”
Tiffany Haddish Ripped Apart For Centring Herself At George Floyd’s Memorial
Tiffany Haddish is getting heavily criticized for supposedly complaining about not getting a shout out from Al Sharpton at George Floyd's memorial service.
Tiffany Haddish was one of the many celebrities to attend the memorial service for George Floyd on Thursday (June 4th), but one particular moment during Rev. Al Sharpton's speech is rubbing people the wrong way. In a clip from the memorial for George, who was killed at the hands of four police officers last week, Al Sharpton acknowledges the myriad of celebrities in the room, listing off stars like Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Tyrese, Will Packer, Master P, and T.I.
However, after it appears that someone has brought to Sharpton's attention that Tiffany Haddish is also present, he asks the room, "is Tiffany here?" after which Tiffany's voice can be heard presumably telling the famed Baptist minister that she is, in fact, there.
Although Tiffany didn't appear to be "demanding" a shout out from Sharpton or "complaining" that he forgot about her, the comedian still got a ton of heat for her conduct at the memorial.
However, others pointed out that she never even asked to be acknowledged.
Some instead found it strange that Sharpton was even shouting out celebrities at a funeral in the first place.

Kobe Bryant & Gianna’s Staple Center Memorial Details Revealed: Report
Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant will be honored by their loved ones at the venue where the basketball icon’s career was crafted.
In 10 days, the public memorial service for Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna will take place at the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles. As the date approaches, more details are being revealed about the massive event that will undoubtedly put L.A. on pause. Last week, grieving mother and wife Vanessa Bryant shared with the world that all were invited to honor her late daughter and husband. Now, TMZ reports that they have more details about the sorrowful event.
The outlet states that the Bryant family is still in the midst of organizing the list of speakers who will take to the stage to pay tribute to the basketball legend and his 13-year-old daughter. “Tickets will be available to the general public, although there will be a number of invited guests who get tickets first, including family, friends, players, NBA officials and, we’re told, season ticket holders,” TMZ reports.
Tickets will also reportedly be sold, not given away for free, and that the price will be a number that “reflects the memories of Kobe and Gigi.” The net proceeds will be donated to charity, but a non-profit has yet to be disclosed. There will also be careful attention paid to how tickets are created and distributed to curtail scalpers.
The event will bring out tens of thousands of fans and mourners, so it’s reported that law enforcement will close the downtown streets surrounding the Staples Center that day. There is a plan for the service to be televised, so police are asking people to stay home and watch from the comforts of their living rooms.
