Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán's sons, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán, are enforcing coronavirus lockdown measures in the Mexican city under their cartel's control by threatening violence on anyone who violates the mandatory curfew. Iván and Jesús, also known as "Los Chapitos" or "Little Chapos," currently run their incarcerated father's infamous Sinaloa drug cartel in the city of Culiacán, and they've made it very clear to the residents of the Mexican town that the coronavirus pandemic is a serious matter. “After 10 o’clock at night, all the people must be inside their homes due to the coronavirus, otherwise they will be punished," a member of the Sinaloa Cartel announced in a video circulating online. "These are orders ‘from above,'” he specified, referring to Los Chapitos.
“This is no game! We’re not playing!” he added. In another clip, Culiacán residents are warned that “anybody caught after 10 o'clock, if not an essential worker, will be ‘lifted’ for two days and will have to pay a fine.” In this case, "lifted" refers to beating with boards.

Los Chapitos have been running their father's cartel ever since he was extradited to the US in 2017, where he then received life in prison in 2019. He is currently serving his sentence at ADX Florence, a prison in Colorado known as the “Alcatraz of the Rockies.” Meanwhile, Chapo's daughter, Alejandrina Guzman, has been seen offering coronavirus relief packages to those in need, which include items like medical masks, food, and hand soap.
“A lot of people don’t believe [the coronavirus], aren’t careful, I think because of what we’ve been through,” said a woman from Tamaulipas, a border state near Texas plagued by cartel violence. “They say if 10 years of war haven’t killed us, a virus isn’t going to. We’ve been living 10 years in quarantine."
Corona Beer Production Halts Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
The production of Corona beer has been temporarily shut down in Mexico, after the government deemed it a non-essential business amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Corona beer is no longer being made in Mexico for the time being, after the Mexican government suspended all non-essential businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite alcohol sales booming as a result of the coronavirus-induced quarantine, it looks like some companies have been told to cease production of their booze due to their status as a non-essential business during this global crisis. Grupo Modelo, the Anheuser-Busch Inbev-owned company that makes Corona as well as Modelo and Pacifico beers, is one such business that has been told to halt production by the Mexican government in an effort to combat the spread of coronavirus in the country.

This measure includes the suspension of all non-essential activities in the public and private sectors of Mexico until at least April 30th. According to John Hopkins, the country has had more than 1600 confirmed cases of coronavirus and has experienced 60 related deaths.

Grupo Modelo is, however, prepared to enact a plan to “guarantee the supply of beer” if the Mexican government does decide that breweries qualify as essential businesses, according to a statement. Bill Newlands, CEO of Constellation Brands which handles the distribution and import of Grupo Modelo’s beers in the United States, ensured that the brand has “ample supply to meet consumer demand” and doesn’t expect there to be shortages. Despite reports that Corona’s shared name with the worldwide virus had caused sales to suffer, Constellation reports that their beer sales actually grew 8.9% in the first three months of this year. Sales even accelerated by 24% during the first three weeks of March compared to a year ago.
Chief Keef Reportedly Released From Police Custody In Mexico
Sosa is reportedly a free man again.
Over the weekend, footage surfaced online of rapper Chief Keef being handcuffed and possibly arrested by authorities down in Mexico. The Glo Gang rapper was apparently south of the border for a show in Rosarita, Mexico, before he was taken into custody early Saturday morning for some unknown reason.
While details have remained scarce as for what actually happened, XXL is reporting that Sosa is no longer in police custody. A source close to Sosa told the media publication that Sosa is a free man again, although its unclear if he’s gone back to his home in LA or what. Peep his arresting video from this weekend (below) if you missed it.
This run-in with the law comes just a week or two after Sosa was featured on Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake album as a producer, and then again as an artist on Luv Vs The World 2. Hear his song “Bean (Kobe)” with Uzi right here if you missed it and look for more new music to be on the way as well.
Chief Keef Handcuffed & Reportedly Arrested In Mexico
Chief Keef was put into handcuffs last night in what people are saying was in Mexico.
It looks like Chief Keef had a run in with the law last night down in Mexico. On Saturday morning, footage surfaced online showing Sosa being put into handcuffs in what people are saying was down in Mexico, although the location hasn’t been confirmed.
Unfortunately there’s no information as for what happened or if he’s still in custody, but it definitely looks to be the Glo Gang rapper who was put in handcuffs. DJ Akademiks shared the clip on his IG page Saturday morning, also reporting it happened in Mexico, but don’t ask me what Sosa was doing south of the border during a national pandemic like now.
Check out the clip of Sosa getting handcuffed (below) and we’ll continue keep you posted once more info comes to light.

Gucci Mane Is "Flexing Like A Mexican" In Cabo San Lucas
Gucci Mane is enjoying his time in the resort city of Cabo San Lucas, located in Baja California Sur, with his beautiful wife Keyshia Ka’Oir Davis as they take in all the sun that Mexico has to offer.
Gucci Mane is one of the hardest working rappers out here, boasting a handful of albums, mixtapes and EPs to prove it, so it comes as no surprise that he’d take a little time to enjoy the fruits of his success by hitting up Cabo San Lucas with his wife Keyshia Ka’Oir Davis.

The married couple are always a pair to be reckoned with when it comes to style, as the photo above proved when they pulled up in pink matching fits at Gucci’s 40th birthday gala in Atlanta last month. Their Mexico vaction proved to be no different, as the Woptober rapper showed on Instagram recently while styling in sun-approved beachwear alongside his ride or die misses. “Flexing like A Mexican,” he wrote as a caption, which we very much believe was meant as a compliment. Overall, both Gucci and Keyshia showed off the perfect example of couple goals in addition to giving the world a good idea in case anyone is looking for a nice baecation spot. Just be sure to stay safe out there!

Taraji P. Henson Lived Her Best Beach Body Life While Vacationing In Los Cabos
Taraji P. Henson made it clear that age really is nothing but a number by showing off her amazing figure while on baecation at Nobu Los Cabos.
A Mexico getaway sounds pretty perfect right about now for anyone, and actress Taraji P. Henson made all of our dreams a reality recently when she hit up Cabo San Lucas for a much-needed baecation with fiancé Kelvin Hayden for Valentine’s Day.

After braving the brutal NYC winter late last month while still keeping it fly from head to toe (seen above), the Empire actress decided to shed some clothes while visiting Nobu Los Cabos resort in a black one-piece bathing suit that had the entire internet in awe. While the sexy get-up was one thing, the fact that Taraji is 49 years old and turning 50 later this year proved that you can be stunning at any age given the right attitude and positive energy surrounding you. It doesn’t hurt that she was also there getting some V’Day love from her soon-to-be-husband, or the fact that she’s a multimillion-grossing Hollywood star, but that body deserves praise regardless of the blessing. It goes without saying, but it must be nice!

El Chapo’s Daughter Marries Rival Drug Kingpen’s Nephew In Mexican Cathedral
Keeping it in the family.
Witnessing the bizarre timeline and events of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s life has inspired an entire subgenre of some of the greatest television dramas of this current generation. However, with the former head of the Sinaloa Cartel serving a lifetime prison sentence in Colorado, he missed the opportunity to walk his daughter, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar down the aisle late last month as she wed, Édgar Cázares, the nephew of Blanca Margarita Cazares, also known as “The Empress.”

The two held a private, lavish ceremony at the Cathedral of Culiacán, in the heart of the city where the Sinaloa Cartel ran their operation led by El Chapo and still thrives today. The celebration featuring hundreds of guests, a bulletproof limo, multiple highly-popularized Mexican bands, and a fireworks display was heavily guarded by armed cartel members and cordoned off by yellow police tape.
According to The Sun, Alejandrina shared the dance floor with her mother, Maria, El Chapo’s first wife, in his presence.
33-year-old, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar and Édgar Cázares have officially fused the Sinaloa Cartel with Blanca Margarita Cazares’ alleged cartel money laundering enterprise that is supposedly responsible for funneling billions of dollars of cartel money through real estate, factories, restaurants, and more throughout Mexico and the United States.
The Sinaloa Cartel’s ability to take over the prestigious Cathedral of Culiacán and use it as a wedding venue for El Chapo’s daughter sparked outrage throughout Mexico. Falko Ernst, the senior Mexico analyst for the International Crisis Group, had this to say to The Guardian:
“It is a reminder of how deeply embedded and powerful the Guzmán family remains in Sinaloa’s society. They are effectively part of the elite. They are treated as such by other members of the elite, including parts of the church.”
Rodolfo Soriano-Nuñez, a sociologist who studies the Mexican Catholic Church, claims that the church has had ties to organized crime syndicates for decades as he stated:
“Locking down the cathedral and pretty much giving it away gives very bad optics and forces one to raise all sorts of questions regarding the decision-making process.”
An Instagram account entitled, @chicapicosa2, was able to obtain photos of Alejandrina and Édgar on their wedding day, but since then has removed the photos. However, they did obtain some additional footage of the ceremony worthy of a look. Check out the videos and photos of Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar and Édgar Cázares’ big day below.
