Back when things seemed like simpler times, EarthGang offered fans a ray of hope by way of a brand new Spillage Village album, titled Spilligion. And while they didn't give an exact date, it would appear we've reached the rollout stages. Today, EarthGang took to Twitter to preview the project's first single "End Of Days," confirming that it would be arriving in full this Thursday, complete with some visuals.

The song features contributions from J.I.D, Mereba, EarthGang, JB, and Jordan Bryant, along with production from the stacked collective of Christo, Elite, Mike Dean, Olu, NiceRec, and Jay Card. J.I.D. previously teased the track on his IG Live back in March, revealing a slick verse from Wowgr8. "Before it's all said and done I'ma spend this money," he raps, over the slinking bassline. "Before it's all said and done I'm gon' fuck these hoes / and I ain't pulling out shit but the chopper though, I end the weak like Domingo and Sabado."
Given everything going on in the world right now, the title "End Of Days" feels appropriately spooky. Still, we can't help but take comfort in knowing that Spillage Village is returning to the fold, and a full album from the Atlanta collective should be exactly what the doctor ordered. Look for their new single to arrive by the week's end, and keep an eye out for more news on Spilligion's release date. Are you going to check this one out?
Mike Dean Trolls, Says Kanye’s Albums Are Better Than Eminem’s
Mike Dean chimed in and trolled that, if Kanye West and Eminem's discographies were combined, all of Kanye's first five albums would be at the top of the list.
Even though Mike Dean admitted that he was trolling -- after all, he's had a hand in the creation of all of Kanye West's albums -- this is a discussion that could possibly be pretty interesting.
Somebody proposed a situation on Twitter: if Eminem and Kanye West's discographies were combined, which albums would be at the top? Producer Mike Dean replied and said that every Ye album from College Dropout to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy would sit strongly as the best of the best.
A Kanye stan responded and said that Yeezus and The Life of Pablo should be included on that list, to which Dean admitted that he was just trolling, correcting himself and saying that all of West's albums are better than Eminem's.
Although he is joking, this proposes an interesting equation. Both artists have become legends in their own right and, while they may not be entirely comparable, their discographies are damn-near perfect with the occasional flaw. There have been some mishaps in both of their careers but, for the most part, Em and Ye have influenced almost every rapper in the game. If you had to rank Eminem and Kanye West's albums as a combined force, where would you place their classics?

Mike Dean Reflects On Jay-Z & Kanye West’s "In Paris"
Mike Dean celebrates one of his boldest production choices as he reflects on working with The Throne’s hit single.
While Kanye West and Jay-Z’s creative partnership has taken a few hitches following the release of 2011’s classic Watch The Throne, one thing has endured — the music they made during their brief but spectacular reign. And while both rappers obviously contributed to the album’s success, the work of the producers should not go uncelebrated. As Mike Dean was involved in the creation of several key Watch The Throne tracks, including the Hit-Boy produced “N***as In Paris,” he recently opened up about some of his favorite moments behind-the-scenes.

Speaking on Beats 1, Dean cited his work on the smash hit to be the “boldest” production work of his career. “The “Paris” record from Watch The Throne, we were pushing boundaries, making samples out of Jay-Z and chopping them up,” he recalls. “That was one of my first dope-ass endings. I went in the studio one day, had a hangover, and I kind of felt like how that ending sounds.”
To think, it wouldn’t have been possible were it not for Plain Pat, who introduced Dean and Kanye to begin with. He reveals that the pair originally connected after they both produced on Scarface‘s The Fix abum, with Kanye having laced the iconic “Guess Who’s Back.” From there, Mike and Kanye developed an appreciation for one another, and a longstanding creative relationship was forged as a result. Mike Dean Reveals When Kanye’s "G.O.O.D. Friday" Songs Will Be Streaming
Mike Dean says there is a possibility that Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Friday songs will be on streaming services this summer.
There is an important chunk of Kanye West‘s discography missing from streaming services. While all of his studio albums are available, the majority of his G.O.O.D. Friday drops are not on Apple Music, Spotify, or TIDAL. That means we can’t readily listen to songs like “Christian Dior Denim Flow,” “Don’t Stop,” “Looking For Trouble,” “Take One For The Team,” and more.
According to Mike Dean, Kanye West’s go-to engineer and producer, that all may change this year.
In a new interview with Vulture, Mike Dean spoke about his new album 4:20 and what he loved about the G.O.O.D. Friday era. Revealing his favorite release from that time, the producer explained why those songs are not available on streaming services yet, offering fans a timetable as to when they can expect them.

“They’ll be out someday,” he said. “Maybe on the 10th anniversary [in August]. I was trying to do it last year, but it was too late. They’ll probably end up on Tidal or something.”
As for his personal favorite of the bunch, he has a soft spot for “Take One For The Team.”
Considering we just went through another Good Friday holiday without being able to listen to Kanye West’s marathon of hits on streaming services, it’s a pleasure to hear that next year may be different.

Smokepurpp Wrote Over 800 Songs For "Deadstar 2," Wasted $2 Million Recording
Smokepurpp spent a lot of dough recording “Deadstar 2.”
Smokepurpp‘s debut studio album, Deadstar 2 (2019), dropped in Dec. of last year featuring appearances from the likes of Ty Dolla Sign, Denzel Curry, Lil Skies, Lil Pump, Moneybagg Yo, and Trippie Redd. During the process of creating the album, leaks caused Purpp and his production team to scrap the album multiple times, costing him and record labels millions just to record.
One of his leaked records entitled “No Problem” featuring Kanye West was removed from all platforms in request of the Jesus is King curator after he denounced cursing and secular music due to his religious reawakening. In an interview with Complex, Smokepurpp, Mike Dean, and Apex Martin revealed how the creative process behind Purpp’s debut album went about. Purpp stated how the three linked stating:
“I had an A&R named Chad, who knew Apex. Eventually, they brought me to Mike’s house. That one day at Mike’s house, we fucking made that one song and it was crazy hard. Then we started working on Deadstar. Apex was like, ‘Yo, let’s all get on this.’ And that’s what we did.”
The “What I Please” rapper also spoke on his approach to Deadstar 2 saying:
“I was trying to elevate from where I am and throw people off with shit they haven’t heard from me. Back in like 2016 or ’17, I met Apex, who brought me to Mike Dean’s crib. I got on one beat that Apex and Mike Dean made and it was crazy. It was a fire song, and it got leaked. After that, I saw Mike more often, but I didn’t really see him a lot until I started working on Deadstar 2.”
Later in the interview, the Chicago-bred emcee dropped a bombshell revealing that he had made approximately 800 songs for the album due to leaks and creative direction, stating:
“I had to remake songs. But the thing is, we were so locked in that it was like, ‘It doesn’t matter, put on another beat. Let’s make another one.’ We were in the matrix, just working,” Purpp continued, My manager just told me (we made) 800 (songs). Apex can vouch for me, I don’t do anything but go to the studio. My label be getting mad at me. I wasted $2 million recording Deadstar 2.”
Smokepurpp is currently in the process of making an album entirely produced by Ronny J. Hopefully, the 22-year-old musician won’t stretch beyond his means in order to get his next musical offering off the ground.
