Lil Uzi Vert has another album on the way, which he says he coming soon.

The Eternal Atake rapper announced the news, Sunday. A fan baited the news from him during an exchange on Twitter.
"I was young high and took life for granted never again I’m on my do every show till I get kicked off stage shit," Uzi says, responding to a fan disgruntled about a poor experience at one of his shows.
"So you’re telling me there was high possibility I would've seen you perform the entirety of EA if jmblya [Festival] happened........," another fan replies.
"EA and my New Album that’s coming soon," Uzi concludes.
Uzi, fresh off his March release, Eternal Atake, has had to pause his upcoming live shows, along with the rest of the artists in the United States. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino updated fans on the future of concerts this week, saying in a statement, "Over the summer there will be testing happening, whether it’s fan-less concerts, which offer great broadcast opportunities and are really important for our sponsorship business; drive-in concerts, which we’re going to test and roll out and we’re having some success with; or reduced-capacity festival concerts, which could be outdoors in a theater on a large stadium floor, where there’s enough room to be safe."
JMBLYA 2020 was scheduled to begin in early May, and if Uzi had planned to perform songs off an upcoming album, that album could release very soon.

Kehlani, Tory Lanez, & More Slide Into Our "R&B Season" Playlist
Some new projects from Kehlani and Mahalia plus a fresh release from Roy Woods are keeping our “R&B Season” playlist stacked with heat.
With Kehlani‘s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t plus a new single from OVO artist, Roy Woods, off his forthcoming album, Dem Times, it was looking pretty good for R&B this week. While there may not be as many additions to our “R&B Season” roundup as usual, we’re making up for it by bringing nothing but fire to the batch this week.
As one of the most prominent R&B artists on the scene these days, Kehlani’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t was one highly anticipated project, and the songstress did not disappoint. Off the album we’ve nabbed her previously released single, “Toxic,” along with the Tory Lanez-featured “Can I” and a solo joint, “Water.”
However, Kehlani wasn’t the only R&B lady to drop this month. Mahalia came through with a short-but-sweet 3-track EP titled Isolation Tapes, and we’ve decided to feature not one but two of those songs on our playlist: “Plastic Plants” and “BRB.” Of course, we can’t forget Roy Woods’ latest single, “I Feel It,” off his new album, Dem Times, dropping on Friday. Check out our “R&B Season” playlist below and don’t forget to follow our other specially-curated playlists on Spotify.

Wright’s music was heavily sampled throughout the course of hip-hop but she also has been involved with some of the biggest names int he game. Erykah Badu & Jill Scott Set New Record For Most Viewers On A "Verzuz" Battle
Erykah Badu and Jill Scott’s “Verzuz” battle on Instagram live broke Teddy Riley and Babyface’s previously set record, raking in nearly 750K viewers.
Erykah Badu and Jill Scott’s display of neo-soul excellence took place on Saturday (May 9th), and the Instagram live stream garnered the most viewers on a “Verzuz” battle ever with nearly 750,000. Although many agreed that the “battle” felt more like a mutual celebration of each other’s talent and vast catalogues, it did mark the first female face-off of the “Verzuz” series, and it looks like the people showed their appreciation for finally including some ladies by tuning in in vast numbers. At one point, the two artists garnered nearly 750K, reaching just shy of it with 749K. Regardless, this number blows the previous record of roughly 500K set by Teddy Riley and Babyface last month out of the water.

To prepare for what would become a record-breaking battle, the two Grammy-winners launched a joint line of “Verzuz”-themed merch, which includes hoodies and graphic tees in black, white, gold, and orange colourways. The collection can be found on both Erykah and Jill’s websites here and here.

The event was also done in partnership with Live Nation’s Femme It Forward series that celebrates women in entertainment. Watch the full battle below:
Benny The Butcher Explains Why He Wanted To Go Bar-For-Bar With Drake
Benny The Butcher explains the significance of going bar-for-bar with Drake.
The Griselda crew has had an impeccable come up in the past year. Though TikTok-friendly singles and auto-tuned laden bangers have become the norm in hip-hop, Westside Gunn, Conway, and Benny The Butcher proved that there’s still a place for lyricism and bars to co-exist with everything else going on in music these days.
The rise of Griselda has aligned them with both Eminem and Jay-Z simultaneously while people like Virgil Abloh, Kanye West, and more have shared praise for the Upstate NY crew. Over the months, there’s been a snippet of a forthcoming Drake single along with Benny The Butcher floating around on the Internet. No, it wasn’t one of the songs previewed during Drake’s Instagram Live sessions, though fans are hoping it arrives on Benny’s next project.
In a recent interview with Cigar Talk, Benny explained the significance of linking up with Drake for a song. Even though Drake’s music teeters closer to the pop side of things, he’s carried his weight lyrically along with giants in the game. Now, Benny wants to prove that he can going bar-for-bar with Drake.
“I’m going for bars Drake. That’s what I went for,” he explained. “People kill me when they act like that n***a pen game ain’t stupid, you know what I’m sayin’? That n***a pen game is stupid and as a fan, that’s what I wanted to hear… I wanted to like, be on a song with one of the most successful dopest n***as in the game, just rapping. I want to trade bars with n***as like that.”
Nelly & Ludacris "Verzuz" Battle Is Happening
Nelly and Ludacris will be the next opponents to go head-to-head in a hit battle over IG live as part of Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’s “Verzuz” series.
Nelly and Ludacris will be bringing that Southern hospitality to the “Verzuz” stage next weekend, according to the series creators, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. Following Erykah Badu and Jill Scott’s incredible battle on Saturday (May 9th), the two legendary producers and masterminds behind “Verzuz” went live on Instagram together to discuss the first female face-off of the series, as well as give us a little something to look forward to.
“Nelly want the smoke with Ludacris,” Swizz declares. “Can we go ‘down down baby’ next week?” Timbo responds, “Yeah, we’ll put our Air Force 1s on?” before the two of them proceed to pump up their viewers, asking over and over if we can make that happen. “Can we get that, Ludacris vs. Nelly?” Swizz asks. “Can we get that next Saturday, Timbaland?”

“Yes, we can get it. We got that,” Timbo ensures him. “Will the stadiums be full?” Swizz teases. “Full to the brim!” he sings. “Full to the briiiiiim!” Swizz then makes the most official announcement of the exchange, stating, “Ludacris vs. Nelly. Next Saturday. It’s not a f*cking game.”

Although Nelly and Ludacris are certainly a good match for a battle, considering they were two of the most prominent Southern rappers of the late 90s/early 2000s, Luda was previously considered as a potential opponent by 50 Cent. However, it looks like he’ll be squaring off with Nelly next Saturday (May 16th) instead, and it’s sure to be one hell of a battle.
Who do you have your money on for the Luda vs. Nelly hit battle?
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s "DUMMY BOY" Hits Massive New Milestone
Tekashi 6ix9ine's music has received a wave of new support following his release from prison.
Tekashi 6ix9ine has been a polarizing figure in the music industry ever since he came out with his track "GUMMO" in 2017. Ever since he was arrested, thrown in jail, and subsequently released for snitching, people's feelings towards 6ix9ine have become even more divided. Some people don't care that he's a snitch while others are outraged that he still has a career and can still get coverage. Either way, he's a prominent figure right now and his new song "GOOBA" appears to be a huge hit amongst his closest supporters.
According to Chart Data on Twitter, 6ix9ine's catalog has taken a huge boost thanks to his new track. In fact, his 2018 album "DUMMY BOY" recently passed two billion streams on Spotify's platform. Clearly, fans are in the mood for 6ix9ine's music and he's reaping the benefits of it all.
Despite the musical success, things aren't easy for 6ix9ine right now. One of his neighbors recently figured out his address and leaked it on social media. As a result, Tekashi had to move to a brand new location which we're sure will have lots of security, moving forward.
If 6ix9ine drops a new project in the next couple of months, one has to assume it will be a chart-topper, which is something that will rile up fans even more.
6ix9ine Just Broke Eminem’s Youtube Debut Record With "GOOBA"
Tekashi 6ix9ine's "GOOBA" has garnered the most views in 24 hours for a hip hop video in Youtube's history, breaking Eminem's previous record with "Killshot" in 2018.
Following 6ix9ine's prodigal return to the music scene on Friday with the release of his first-prison single, "GOOBA," and accompanying visuals, the controversial artist has already broken a record for hip hop videos on Youtube. According to @chartdata on Twitter, the music video for "GOOBA" racked up the most views in a 24 hour time span on a hip hop video in the history of Youtube, making it the biggest 24 hour hip hop debut of all time.
According to HipHopNMore's estimates, the video had roughly 43 million views by the end of the first day. At the time of publication, "GOOBA" currently has over 61 million views.
The previous record for this sort of debut was set by Eminem in 2018. The audio for Em's song, "Killshot," a diss toward his foe, Machine Gun Kelly, amassed about 38.1 million views on Youtube in the first 24 hours.
Along with this Youtube feat, 6ix9ine also made history by breaking the reported record previously set by Tory Lanez for the most viewers on an Instagram live stream at once. 6ix9ine boasted a whopping 2 million viewers all tuning into his IG live at one point, annihilating Tory's 300K record which he set during an episode of Quarantine Radio.

Despite the attention it received, 6ix9ine's comeback was definitely not welcomed by some, especially many of his fellow rappers who have no interest in supporting a snitch.
Live Nation To Test Dive-In & Fan-less Concert Experiences
Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino discusses ways to restart concerts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Live Nation will begin testing a variety of new concert experiences in the coming months.

CEO Michael Rapino explained that they will be experimenting with drive-in concerts, fan-less virtual concerts and more during the company’s first-quarter earnings call on Thursday.
“So over the next six months, we’ll be starting slow and small, focusing on the basics and testing regionally,” he said. “But whether it’s in Arkansas or [another] state that is safe, secure, and politically fine to proceed in, we’re going to dabble in fan-less concerts with broadcasts and reduced-capacity shows, because we can make the math work. There are a lot of great artists that can sell out an arena, but they’ll do higher-end theaters or clubs.
“So you’re gonna see us [gradually reopening] in different countries, whether it’s Finland, Asia, Hong Kong — certain markets are farther ahead [in the recovery process],” he continued. “Over the summer there will be testing happening, whether it’s fan-less concerts, which offer great broadcast opportunities and are really important for our sponsorship business; drive-in concerts, which we’re going to test and roll out and we’re having some success with; or reduced-capacity festival concerts, which could be outdoors in a theater on a large stadium floor, where there’s enough room to be safe.
“We think in the fall, if there are no second hotspots, you’ll see markets around the world [reopening] — Europe, specifically, has talked about opening up 5000-plus [gatherings] in September,” Rapino concluded. “And on the venue side, we’re dealing with federal, the White House, every government body you can imagine, and we’ve got a great task force around what we have to do with the venue to make you safe. So I think in the fall you’ll see more experimenting and more shows happening in a theater setting, into some arenas. And then our goal is really to be on sale in the third and fourth quarters for 2021 at full scale.”
Live Nation has also begun reopening concerts, but only allowing 20% capacity and other catches.

Eminem Names Lil Wayne On "Mona Lisa" As "Top Five Verses Of All Time"
During their conversation on “Young Money Radio,” Eminem told Lil Wayne that he had some of the “top five verses of all time” on “Mona Lisa.”
The third episode of Lil Wayne‘s Young Money Radio show aired on Beats 1 Apple Music on Friday, and one of his guests was none other than his friend and past collaborator, Eminem. During their virtual chat, the two rappers caught up with each other and discussed their music in detail, even both admitting that they sometimes google their lyrics so that they don’t risk the crime of repeating the same bars in a new song.

At one point, Em took the time to praise his fellow MC, specifically for his incredible verses on the song, “Mona Lisa,” with Kendrick Lamar off Wayne’s 2018 album, Tha Carter V. It’s been widely regarded as some of Weezy’s best work in the past five years at least, and it looks like Em agrees that Wayne bodied it (3:00).
“I never got a chance to tell you but, yo,” Em begins, “‘Mona Lisa,’ your two verses on that sh*t…gotta be one of the top five verses of all time.” Wayne humbly thanks him for the kinds words, before Em continues with his admiration for the rapper’s craft. “I love when rappers are able to tell a story,” he expresses, “and don’t compromise any of the punchlines. It’s great to see you and me still doing it.” Wayne agrees, noting, “that right there alone, it shows the beauty of what we do, period.”
“It’s definitely an art to this sh*t and, man, you got it mastered,” Em tells Wayne. Revisit “Mona Lisa” below to refresh your memory. Do you agree that Wayne had some of the top five verses of all time on this track?
