Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers had one of the best seasons in college football history. They were able to cap off the year with a huge win in the National Championship game against the Clemson Tigers. Whenever a team wins the National title, it is customary for that team to come to the White House and meet the president. Ever since Donald Trump took control of the White House, these meetings have been quite bizarre as he usually includes some peculiar antics.
This time around, Trump was particularly jol, albeit erratic. Near the end of his speech to the LSU players, Trump turned the whole thing into a mini-rally as he began to harp on impeachment and how he's a great president. He also spoke about the U.S military and its counter-terrorism efforts. He even likened the Tigers to the military, which got a huge laugh from the crowd and even the players.
Admittedly, some of the players seemed to be uncomfortable with the whole situation, including Burrow who truly couldn't believe what he was hearing. Trump can definitely be a bit of a wild-card and this was one of those times. At this point, we just hope the Tigers got better food than Clemson, who was treated to a smorgasbord of fast food.
Victor Cruz Weights In On Odell Beckham Jr.’s Recent LSU Scandal
OBJ has found himself in some trouble.
Odell Beckham Jr found himself in a compromising position recently while celebrating the LSU Tigers’ recent National Championship win. Beckham Jr. was in the locker room after the game and could be seen handing out money to some of the players. This goes against NCAA rules and many fans were up in arms over what went down. In fact, Beckham is currently being investigated by the school even though many people maintain the money he gave away was fake. OBJ also has a warrant out for his arrest thanks to an incident in which he smacked a cop on the butt.
TMZ recently caught up with former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who gave his opinion on the whole ordeal. As Cruz explains, he doesn’t see what the big deal is about Beckham’s antics and that it seems as though people are always looking for reasons to go after him.
“At this point, it feels like they’re just picking on him ’cause he is who he is,” Cruz said. “His alma mater just won the national championship. Let him have some fun. I think he didn’t do nothing wrong … I think he’s good.”

Drew Brees Mercilessly Trolled On Twitter After Donald Trump Photo
Twitter users never skip a beat.
Drew Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the past two decades and even won himself a Super Bowl back in the day. Brees has enjoyed prolonged success as a member of the New Orleans Saints and this Spring, he will have a huge decision to make in free agency. Despite all the good he has done for the city, Brees found himself in a bit of a controversy last night as he was seen hanging out with President Donald Trump at the CFB National Championship game.
At one point during the game, Brees was in the same suite as Trump and had his photo taken with the President. Melania Trump was there as well while Brees' family also took part in the photo-op. In the grand scheme of things, it was a harmless photo that doesn't necessarily reflect Brees' political leanings.
Despite the banality of it all, fans took to Twitter where they condemned Brees for his talks with the president. Many people seemed to be disappointed in Brees and felt as though he was co-signing all of Trump's behavior. Of course, there were a plethora of memes thrown Brees' way although we imagine he ended up avoiding them all.
