It's clear that Youngboy Never Broke Again is going through something and, thankfully, he's taking the time to heal his wounds.
The rapper tweeted out a concerning message this weekend, suggesting that he was having suicidal thoughts. The message was unclear but he seemingly asked fans if they believed it was a good idea for him to end it all. A resounding "NO" was cried out by his loyal supporters and, instead of taking drastic measures, the 20-year-old appears to be taking some much-needed time to heal from all the past trauma in his life.
After announcing that he will be dropping his new project 38 Baby 2 this week, NBA Youngboy took to Twitter to announce that it will be his last piece of new music in a while.
"After Friday I’ll never release a song/album again until I’m in a better situation #PROMISE," wrote the rapper on social media.
It's worth noting that the star has been in negative headlines for the last month and a bit after his girlfriend, Yaya Mayweather, was arrested for stabbing his baby mama Lapattra Jacobs. It appears as though everything has finally caught up to him and he's doing the right thing, taking time to himself to figure out this crazy thing called life.
Hopefully, he's back sooner rather than later. However, he's left us with enough good music throughout the last couple of years.
Take your time, YB.

Does This Mean Playboi Carti Is Actually Dropping "Whole Lotta Red" Today?
Playboi Carti tweets, fans go crazy.
Playboi Carti sure knows how to tease us. The rapper who's developed a rabid, cult-like following recently returned to the fray when he released a visual and new single for the pitched-up lullaby-esque masterpiece "@ MEH," re-igniting excitement for his impending album, Whole Lotta Red.
Fans, and hip-hop artists alike reacted to the single drop, with Uzi joining on the commentary. Uzi, who seems to be playing the role of Carti mascot these days, followed up his response to "@ MEH" with a possible date for more music when he tweeted out the word "Monday." Actually, it was more like: ". MoNDaY," to be precise. Carti followed similarly, leaving us to wonder what would happen on MoNDaY? Well, Monday is now here. So far, nothing out of the ordinary has happened. It is 4/20, which means we've all been smoking, but that's about it.
Still, Monday isn't over yet! Could Whole Lotta Red still drop today? Carti continues to pump his fans up about it, tweeting this afternoon "rEd," which has clearly got fans intrigued. Uzi tweeted similarly, right before Uzi, in Carti's preferred upper-case-lower-case format: "HEy."
What do you think, will today finally be the day that Carti fans receive their magnum opus? Sound off in the comments and stay tuned.
Top Dawg Entertainment Is Dropping New Music All Week
Does this mean we could very well be getting new music from Kendrick Lamar this week?
It looks like the TDE camp is finally blessing us with some new music during this period of self-isolation and quarantine. Earlier today, the ever-elusive Ab-Soul popped in with the release of “Dangerookipawa Freestyle” in honor of Top Dawg’s birthday. Now, it’s not only rare to hear from Soulo but pretty much every other artist on the roster. We can’t blame them, either, knowing how hard at work they are.
Thankfully, Soulo isn’t the only one dropping this week. Top Dawg hit the ‘Gram to announce that they’ll be releasing a new song every day for the rest of the work in honor of #TDEFANAPPRECIATIONWEEK. “Celebratin my BDAY 2day, releasin New Music ALL WEEK,” Top Dawg wrote. “Startin wit @souloho3 “Dangerookipawaa Freestyle” Available on ALL PLATFORMS #TDEFANAPPRECIATIONWEEK”
No mention was made of who we’ll end up hearing from this week but it could very well be the beginning of a new album campaign for someone. Currently, artists like Isaiah Rashad and SZA have fans eager for new albums while Kendrick Lamar, of course, has been said to be preparing the release to his follow-up to 2017’s DAMN. Ab-Soul is also said to have an album that he’s conjuring up. Though “Dangerookipawa Freestyle” is only a loosie, it could also be a signal that Soulo has a new album roll out on the way.
Who do you want to hear new music from off of the TDE roster this week? Sound off in the comments. g
Drake Promises Tom Brady New Music
Drake is about to bless us with even more new music, promising Tom Brady that "Toosie Slide" isn't his only banger on the way.
We're ready when you are, Drake.
Fresh off the release of his new single "Toosie Slide," which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Drake is already thinking about his next big move. He's got us all dancing but, with his next single, who knows what kind of emotions we'll be feeling?
As we all patiently wait for any sort of announcement from the Toronto native, Drake just promised his friend Tom Brady, quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, that new music is on the way.

Updating his Instagram story this weekend, Tom Brady formally requested new music from the global superstar, suggesting that the "Toosie Slide" isn't enough. Drizzy didn't need to reply but he was generous with his time, realizing that he might need to heal the world with another bop soon.
"More on the way TB that's a fact," wrote Drake on Instagram Stories. Of course, the post was noticed by thousands of fans who took to social media to express their own excitement for the quasi announcement.
While we do not know when Drake will decide to bless us with more new music, we're hoping it's soon. We could all use some good vibes in our lives right now.
Who's excited?
Playboi Carti & Lil Uzi Vert Didn’t Release Anything & Fans Are Confused
There is still time on MoNDaY for Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert to release new music.
What the hell is going on with Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert?
The two rappers have seemingly been embroiled in a strange beef, which is humorously one-sided so far. Lil Uzi Vert has been taunting Playboi Carti on social media, dissing his new song "@ MEH" and choosing to release new music at the exact same time as his former friend. They both selected today as their release date, tweeting out the news and confirming. However, when the clock struck midnight, neither artist dropped.
Of course, there is still time for both Carti and Uzi to release new music before the end of the day. In fact, Uzi might have gotten a head start, previewing a long stretch of unreleased music with a laughing emoji on Twitter.
Disgruntled Carti fans could be found in the comments of the post, voicing their confusion over the situation as a whole in addition to the current non-drop storyline.
Only time will tell if Uzi and Carti decide to stay true to their word. Is something other than music arriving today? Some fans have suggested that the beef is truly non-existent and the two rappers are working together to rile up their loyal followings. Do you think that's the case?

J.I.D’s Plans For New Music Have Been Derailed
It would appear that J.I.D's plans to release new music have been derailed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The detrimental effects of the coronavirus are numerous, and though music has become a solace for many, even that has found itself disrupted. For J.I.D, who planned on following up 2018's excellent DiCaprio 2 with an album produced entirely by No I.D, his best-laid plans were unfortunately laid to waste. Over the weekend, the Dreamville rapper took to Twitter to vent his frustration with the ongoing situation, which has seemingly led to a stagnation period for the once-prolific writer.

The rant started with an alarming declaration, in which J.I.D. declared "this shit no fun no mo." Upon further prodding, he revealed that the problem had nothing to do with writer's block, but had everything to do with the rollout period blues. "man idk what to drop, this shit all wierd now man," he continued, fielding a fan's question about future music.
In response to the rationale that new music is better than no music, J.I.D. was quick to rebuttal with a sad reality. "Ok we do that, then what, no tour? Not getting to see u guys and celebrate, the content and intention of the music is way more important now, I’m tryna line it up perfect cuz it’s hard to create is uncertain times," he maintains.
A fair point, and one that will likely be on the mind of many-an-artist. Either way, we've got nothing but love for J.I.D, and should he decide to wait for things to calm down before releasing, it's a decision that must be respected. Luckily, it's not all dour news -- J.I.D is set to appear on the upcoming Spillage Village album Spilligion, which is due out late spring or early summer.
Lil Uzi Vert Continues To Throw Shade At Playboi Carti
Lil Uzi Vert seems to have very one-sided beef with Playboi Carti.
Playboi Carti is gearing up to bless us with his highly-anticipated album, Whole Lotta Red on Monday. At least, we hope that's what he's dropping. Regardless, the artist dropped a fresh single on Thursday called "@ MEH" and let's just say, fans are pretty split on how they feel about it. Perhaps the most critical person of the song has been none other than Lil Uzi Vert who has collaborated with Carti in the past.
Uzi has been hinting at a feud with Carti and he all but confirmed those rumors when he called his song "Just Meh." He is even going so far as to sabotage Carti's release date by releasing some music of his own. Today, Uzi is sending more shots at Carti on Twitter. After Maaly Raw commented on how great Carti's new song is, Uzi hit him with the sarcastic laughing crying emoji.
Okay, okay, before you genius commenters get at me for writing about a laughing crying emoji, it is fairly significant when you put everything into context. Some fans think that the beef between Carti and Uzi isn't real but at this point, Uzi is doing everything in his power to make us think he really does hate the Die Lit artist. Whether it's a troll or not, there is no denying that something deeper is going on here.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens on Monday.
DaBaby Trending On Twitter Because People Hate His New Album
DaBaby did not leave a good impression on social media with the release of "Blame It On Baby."
You know what they say... all publicity is good publicity, right?
DaBaby released his new album Blame It On Baby last night, featuring a list of big stars to help him out. The surprise project includes assists from Roddy Ricch, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Ashanti, Megan Thee Stallion, Future, and more. While the majority of fans are seemingly rocking with the new album -- it currently carries a user rating of 65% on our site -- social media has proven to be a hard crowd this time around.
When DaBaby had just released the album at midnight, he began trending on Twitter as fans of the Charlotte rapper reacted with excitement to the new collection of songs. However, as they got deeper into the project, reactions online got more and more unfavorable.

These days, it's almost impossible to achieve a musical product that pleases everybody. It would appear as though some of DaBaby's fans are getting tired of the same-old though, challenging the rapper to switch things up in a major way after releasing his third album in less than two years.
Memes and jokes are flying around with plenty of people unhappy about the new album. Still, some songs, like the collaboration with Ashanti and Megan Thee Stallion, are getting lots of love.
What did you think of Blame It On Baby? Are you happy about the new body of work or do you think it's time for DaBaby to take a little break?
Lil Uzi Vert Reacts To Playboi Carti’s New Song: "Just Meh"
Lil Uzi Vert is seemingly not a fan of Playboi Carti's new song "@ MEH," sharing his thoughts on Twitter.
Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti have had somewhat of a friendly rivalry happening for the last several months. Their relationship was seemingly picture-perfect before a fan asked if they were still on good terms.
"No," responded Uzi, shocking the world.
Since the comments were made, Uzi has clarified that he was back on the right foot with his longtime collaborator but, somewhere between then and now, things went ugly again.
For weeks, the two have cryptically been throwing shots at each other with the fans unsure of whether or not they were just trolling. With the release of Carti's new banger "@ MEH," many were stalking Lil Uzi Vert's social media pages to see if he would react and, right on cue, he did.
"Just Meh," wrote the Philadelphia rapper on Twitter, continuing the confusing blow-out to their friendship.
While this can definitely be perceived as a diss, it's important to add that Uzi and Carti have such a long history that this may be part of their master-plan to take over the entire music industry this year.
Already, Lil Uzi Vert has achieved his largest numbers ever with Eternal Atake and the subsequent deluxe release. Maybe this is his way of pushing Playboi Carti to deliver a classic with Whole Lotta Red?
Tough love or beef?
