Whenever something pops off in the media about race, you better believe Azealia Banks is going to voice her opinion about it. This weekend, Doja Cat was revealed to have regularly frequented alt-right, incel-type chat rooms where she allegedly engaged in some pretty clear anti-Black conversations. The rapper, who has family from South Africa, has apologized for the videos before explaining that she was only there to "socialize." Unfortunately, that clarification was not enough for some of her fans, who decided to cancel the rapper on Twiter.
Azealia Banks is among those who want absolutely nothing to do with Doja Cat and she's also going after her "Say So" collaborator, Nicki Minaj, for remaining quiet on the issue.

"Another thing that I find fucking funny, is Nicki... for all the fucking mouth you have for Cardi B for talking shit about black women, and now you quiet because you got your little number one with this white bitch," said Azealia on Instagram, referring to Doja Cat as a "white bitch."
"You a pussy ass bitch. Fuck outta here. ... You shoulda got right on that Queen Radio and you put that bitch in the ground where she belongs. Put that bitch down in the fucking South African emerald mine where the fuck that white bitch belongs. Now I'm looking back at it, you were just jealous of Cardi... She's got more swag than you. You made a whole radio show about how Cardi B is bad for black women."
In the same video, Azealia Banks also said she thinks Cardi B is trash (of course...) and claimed to have had sex with Dave Chappelle so, there's that.

Tory Lanez Channels Eminem’s "My Salsa" In New Snippet
Tory Lanez channels Eminem circa-2004 for a goofy and outlandish take on “My Salsa.”
For whatever reason, it’s seeming like the game is finally ready to openly give Eminem his flowers — that’s not to say rappers haven’t sung his praises before, but it feels as if Music To Be Murdered By really left a lasting impression on the game. Not only did Drake implement elements of “Superman” into his recent “Chicago Freestyle,” but not Tory Lanez appears to be drawing from the box of Em classics for his latest snippet.

Taking to both Instagram and TikTok to have some fun, Tory showcases a new “track” he’s been working on. A track that appears to be built around the climactic moments of D12’s “My Band,” otherwise known as “My Salsa.” In the clip, Tory channels Eminem’s amusing and bewildering foray into mariachi territory, adding his own signature spin on it in the process; needless to say, this isn’t what we had in mind when he teased a “Spanish Album.”
After many fans were quick to react in confusion, Tory was forced to clarify the situation. “Real ones know this is from EM,” he comments, his facepalm emoji suggesting his frustration with the lack of early millennium hip-hop knowledge. Of all the Eminem songs to see repurposed, who’d have thought “My Band” would land the special treatment? Either way, it’s cool to see Tory pay homage to one of the greatest to ever do it — perhaps one day they’ll collaborate on an actual track. After all, it’s clear that Em’s pal Joyner Lucas has a few things to say about the Canadian lyricist.
NBA Rumored To Be Coming Back With Playoff-Only Format
NBA fans have been waiting for some good news from the league.
It’s been a rough few months for NBA fans as the Coronavirus has forced the league to completely shut down until further notice. The season was just starting to get good and it looked as though we were going to end up with some pretty magic playoff matchups. Of course, this never ended up coming to fruition and now the NBA is looking at scenarios for a comeback. For instance, the league has already began talks with Disney that would see teams play in one of their facilities.
According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, there is a rumor floating around that when the league eventually returns, there will be no regular-season and that it will begin with a 16-team playoff. It has also been noted that the league might even consider doing 1-16 seeding to switch things up.
“I really think there’s a good chance that this is only gonna be a 16-team playoff,” Windhorst said. “If that is the case, it opens up the possibility for something that Adam Silver has long wanted, which is to seed from 1 through 16 in the postseason and go that route.”
There have been numerous scenarios floating around as of late so stay tuned for the latest information as this is a developing story.
Yaya Mayweather’s Song Choice For NBA Youngboy Pic Is Questionable
Yaya Mayweather posted a new picture with her boyfriend Youngboy Never Broke Again, playing Summer Walker’s song “I’ll Kill You” in the background.
Yaya Mayweather is currently under investigation for allegedly stabbing Lapattra Jacobs, one of her boyfriend Youngboy Never Broke Again‘s baby mamas. The strange love triangle attack has Mayweather facing life in prison and, as we wait for more updates on her legal status, the 20-year-old is sharing boo’d up pictures with her rapper beau.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Yaya Mayweather posted a new photo of her and Youngboy Never Broke Again, confirming that they’re still together and choosing a strange song to showcase at the top.

The photo was accompanied by one of Summer Walker‘s tracks from her debut album. Her collaboration with Jhené Aiko, titled “I’ll Kill You”, is actually a beautiful love song. However, the title of the song is a little questionable for somebody in Yaya Mayweather’s position to be sharing on the internet. After all, she did just allegedly threaten the life of Lapattra Jacobs, leaving her paralyzed in one of her arms. She probably doesn’t want to be sharing songs with titles that seem like murder threats…
Are you surprised that Yaya and Youngboy have made it this far or do you think they’re the real deal? Are we looking at the next Ike and Tina?
Patrick Ewing Gets Positive Health Update After COVID-19 Scare
Patrick Ewing was admitted to the hospital last week after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
NBA fans were fairly upset last week after it was revealed that New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing had been hospitalized due to the Coronavirus. Ewing sent out a message on social media urging people to be safe and noting that this virus is no joke and must be taken seriously, at all costs. After a few days in the hospital, Ewing and his fans received some incredible news.

The Coronavirus has proven to be a lot worse than many imagined as over 1.5 million people in the United States have been infected. Not to mention, hundreds of thousands of people have died and cities around the world continue to be under lockdown. These are truly unprecedented times and it's important for everyone to stay calm and stay safe.
While this may be an extremely difficult time, there are certainly better days ahead and we can't wait for them to arrive.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date Teased
The release date for GTA 6 has just gotten a little bit clearer after a statement from Rockstar Games.
With so many of us staying home during the pandemic, video games have been a natural source of entertainment for every one of us. Whether you’re spending your days playing 2K or hanging with your villagers on Animal Crossing, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have all been glad to see increases in their product sales. In fact, it’s become virtually impossible to purchase a Nintendo Switch in some parts of the country.
One game that people are really looking forward to playing is Grand Theft Auto 6. Every time a new GTA game is released or announced, fans can’t seem to contain their excitement for the new version, anticipating it heavily on social media. After an investor’s call by Rockstar Games, it looks like the timetable for the game’s release is a touch clearer than before.
Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two suggested in a recent call that the game would not be released before the end of this year, implying that 2021 or 2022 would be safe bets as it is still in its early development stages.
According to OnSmash, the game’s delay likely comes as a result of COVID-19, which halted production on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. GTA 6 was allegedly intended to be a launch game for both devices.
For now, it looks like Fall 2021 is the nearest we’ll be getting GTA 6. Are you excited?
Gucci Mane Says He Has An Alligator Pond For His Enemies
Gucci Mane finds new ways to hide the — nevermind.
Gucci Mane is a changed man but he has undoubtedly been showing sides of his old self that fans haven’t seen a long time. For example, earlier this month, the rapper returned to the ‘Gram where he referred to himself as “the dude who killed ya friend and robbed ya buddies” which can easily be interpreted as a shot towards his life-long nemesis and Jeannie Mai’s current boyfriend, Jeezy.

In a recent Instagram Live, Gucci Mane revealed that he’s closer to returning to his old self than ever before. It’s unclear who’s pissed him off in recent times but whoever you are, just know that big GuWop is prepared. The rapper revealed that he has an alligator pond for no other reason than to feed an opp to one of his apparent reptiles. “I’ma show y’all where we gon’ throw the bodies at. You get your stupid ass wrong,” he said as he walked closer to a pond. “Down here with these alligators. Feed your ass to these alligators. So if you ever try this shit, fuck n***a, that’s where you goin’,” he added.
Hopefully, Gucci Mane doesn’t actually have to use his alligator-filled moat for that purpose but if anybody does try to break into his home, don’t say he never warned ya.

Is 50 Cent’s Rapping Ability Overlooked?
Now that 50 Cent has solidified himself as a television mogul, it seems appropriate to reflect on his position in the hierarchy of hip-hop greats.
Upon discovering an old tape of his formative project Power Of The Dollar, 50 Cent issued a confident declaration. “Damn i did this in 1998 and i still can rap better than you fools.” A reminder that behind all of the antics and brand-pushing hashtags stands a proud emcee. One who seldom gets the credit he might deserve. Despite having held his own alongside lyrical elites like Eminem and his own group-mate Lloyd Banks. Despite having engaged in battle with rappers like Jadakiss, The Game, and Rick Ross, three foes who would surely lay waste to a lesser challenger. Not to mention the fact that his breakout movement was based off a simple premise, which is to say, freestyling over established beats and outshining the original artist.
Consider that mixtapes of that nature have essentially gone extinct. These days, mixtapes are basically albums, albeit generally more free-flowing and lax. Back when 50 was carving out his lane, attempting to crack into an industry that was essentially too fearful to do business with him, he was spitting with a hunger not often seen in this era. Unafraid to call out names and make enemies, Fif’s intensity carried into his early music. The aforementioned Power Of The Dollar, his classic mixtape Guess Who’s Back. His reputation as a wild card allowed him a certain presence on wax, one who seemed willing to back up any threat made. For a gangsta rapper, that’s an invaluable tool. And while many have explored similar territory as young 50 tended to favor, few did it with as much relish. He seemed to feel a devilish glee while detailing acts of violence, one that imbued him with a villainous charisma — the likes of which are still felt to this day.

Remember, this was a rapper who eyed the coveted New York crown. He expressed as such on the classic “Be A Gentleman,” when he called out one of his chief competitors in Jay-Z. “Still n***s actin’ like I don’t get down or something, like I ain’t the next n***a to wear the crown or something,” he taunts, a rhyme basic on paper but impactful on wax. “You gonna talk about your chips ’til we run in your crib and you gon’ ask dumb questions like, ‘can I live?’” At the time, the race for New York kingship was tight — names like Jay, DMX, Ja Rule, Ghostface, and Raekwon were comfortably in the running delivering excellent music. And while each one was more established than Fif, he somehow managed to remain in the race. Immense hustle and work ethic can go far, but not without the skill to match. Without the ability to toggle beast mode, longevity is out of the question. It’s the reason tapes like the aforementioned two stand up today, not as historical relics but as genuinely badass servings of grimy NYC rap.
But what about his rapping ability makes him a top tier emcee? Insofar as the lyrics themselves are concerned, Fif seldom engaged in what has come to be unflatteringly described as “rappity-rap.” He’s concise in his messages, letting the attitude present within his voice emphasize any point. “In the hood summertime, it’s the killing season / it’s hot out this bitch, that’s a good enough reason,” he shrugs, on the Dr. Dre produced “Heat.” Lines like that hold more character than some rappers conjure in an entire song. The entirety of “Heat,” arguably the greatest song of Fif’s career, is a masterclass in visual storytelling. “Don’t think you safe ’cause you moved out the hood, cause ya mama still around dawg, and that ain’t good,” he continues. “If you was smart you’d be shook of me, cause I get tired of looking for ya / spray ya mama crib and let yo ass look for me.” Where a lesser lyricist might have simply delivered the threat in a passing line, Fif’s internal rhyme scheme set up gives it even more power.

CityFiles/WireImage/Getty Images
And if “Heat” doesn’t hold the crown as 50’s greatest record, there’s a strong case to be made for another Get Rich Or Die Tryin classic, “Many Men.” It should be noted that as a writer, Fif seldom gets overtly conceptual in his use of language. He tends to operate in a rather frank manner, drawing from personal experience and presenting his philosophies accordingly. “In the Bible, it says what goes around, comes around,” raps Fif, in the climactic verse. “Hommo shot me, three weeks later he got shot down, now it’s clear that I’m here for a real reason / cause he got hit like I got hit, but he ain’t fuckin’ breathin’.”
On paper, the lines read relatively simple, the premise straightforward. Yet it’s exactly this approach to morality that makes his rapping so compelling. It’s not entirely different from an emcee like DMX, whose words were imbued with a similar gravitas; neither have to flow in a dexterous fashion to impress, masking lack of character with aimless lyrical gymnastics. Instead, 50 was able to paint vivid pictures with the simplest of lines, evoking the smell of gunfire, the scowls of his foes. “I’m observant in my hood, cause n***s be dumbing, shots forfeit the dice game, all you see is the running,” he reflects, on Massacre opener “In My Hood.” Words that may as well be a scene off a cinematographer’s storyboard.
How does all that factor into 50 Cent’s ability as an emcee? Those who would reserve him a spot in the top ten might be quick to tout his songwriting prowess, his ability to adapt to a variety of instrumentals, or his ear for melodic singsong flow schemes. Yet it’s unlikely that many would place him in the same conversation as artists like Royce Da 5’9”, Black Thought, Nas, Eminem, Andre 3000, or Jay-Z, rappers that have become known and regarded for their lyricism. Though 50’s writing does possess depth and authenticity, his preference for a frank and minimalist delivery has given him the illusion of simplicity. That should never be mistaken for weakness. There’s an authoritative quality to his tone that made him, at his prime, one of the most compelling rappers in the entire game.
