These days, basketball fans can be pretty disrespectful towards the game's biggest legends. The arguments that are made most of the time is that previous generations didn't play defense and that the level of competition was fairly suspect. With this in mind, it shouldn't be surprising that NBA fans dismiss the likes of Jerry West, who is literally the silhouette of the NBA logo.
In light of "The Last Dance," there has been plenty of discourse surrounding some of the NBA's biggest legends and how they would hold up in today's NBA. Recently, SLAM Magazine asked whether or not West would be effective in the league, and LeBron immediately took notice. In the tweet below, LeBron gave his prediction as to how many points and assists West would be averaging.
"Straight Bucket Getter. Also could pass the hell out of it too. I mean he could play off the ball(c&s) and on the ball(pull ups), get to the basket and make free-throws. I’d say 24-27PPG/8assist," LeBron said.
Not everyone agreed with the Lakers superstar although you have to hand it to LeBron for giving some props to one of the game's biggest pioneers. Even if James inflated the stats, at least he is giving props to a legend.

Brandy Speaks On The Death Of Former Prom Date, Kobe Bryant
Brandy was devastated by the passing of basketball legend, Kobe Bryant.
Before Kobe Bryant met his wife Vanessa, he had a bit of a crush on Brandy, who eventually went on to have a lucrative career in the entertainment industry. As a student at Lower Merion Township High School in Philadelphia, Kobe actually got to take Brandy to prom and even went to some Hollywood events with her once he ended up in the NBA, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
As many of you know, Kobe sadly passed away in a helicopter crash in January of this year and the entire incident left a huge impact on Brandy. Following the tragic accident, Brandy posted about Kobe and Gianna on her IG page. In a recent interview, Brandy spoke a little bit more at depth about how she felt following the news that Kobe had passed.
“It’s unbelievable. I can’t believe it, and honestly I would have to say that shook my faith,” Brandy said. “That moment really shook my faith. It just stopped me dead in my tracks. I just cannot understand it. I don’t understand it. I’ll never understand it till this day.”
Kobe had a huge impact on a lot of people and his death is certainly going to sting for a very long time.

Lil Tjay Seemingly Responds To 6ix9ine’s King Of New York Rant
Lil Tjay is still claiming the title even after 6ix9ine said he'd kiss him on the forehead.
The title of King Of New York has been claimed in the past but in the past two years, there seems to be a spike in disputes surrounding who actually deserves that crown. Last weekend, ahead of the release of State Of Emergency, Lil Tjay came out of the woodwork claiming that he's the King Of New York while simultaneously sparking a feud with High Bridge The Label as well as Rubi Rose and Chinese Kitty.
Yesterday, the apparent King Of New York, according to Spotify at least, 6ix9ine made his return with "GOOBA" and a subsequent return to Instagram Live where he addressed Tjay's claim as "King Of New York." "For the King Of New York shit -- let's cut that out. Little boy, sit down," 6ix9ine said. "I ain't beefin' with anyone from New York if you don't got this watch. If you don't got this watch right here, you're a little boy to me. I'll kiss you on your forehead."
Though Tjay didn't necessarily bash 6ix9ine's name, he did initially bashed the idea that he's a little boy. He then shared another post detailing that he's been going up without the support from major artists in the game and that he's made a concerted effort in helping other artists out from New York in an attempt to unify the city.
He doubled down on the fact that he helped unify New York City while simultaneously dragging Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and A Boogie into his rant.
"If you think about it, why do you think Nicki and Cardi beefing right now? It's New York shit, bro," he said. "Why you think Nicki never gave A Boogie a feature? Besides that, why you think Cardi ain't never give A Boogie a feature? Why you think me and Boogie never got on a song? Mind you, I don't want to do a song with him, I'm just sayin'... This whole unify New York shit started with me. Understand that, you heard? I just dropped a whole tape with the city on it."
Peep his rants below.

Kanye West Rocks A Mask Pre-Coronavirus In Kim K’s Japan Throwback
Kim Kardashian shared a throwback from their family’s trip to Japan last year, where Kanye West can be seen rocking a full famous prior to the coronavirus age.
Kanye West was out here rocking full face masks before the coronavirus was even a thing. As the world continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, health officials in many places have advised residents to wear a mask at all times to help prevent potentially spreading the virus to others and thus to flatten the curve. However, it looks like one man in particular was always on his mask game, although not exactly the same type of personal protective equipment that you might see folks sporting these days.

On Friday night, Kanye West’s part-in-crime, Kim Kardashian, posted a throwback photo from their family trip to Japan last year. In the shot, which features Kim holding their son, Saint, in her arms, their daughter, North, and their niece, Penelope Disick, Kanye can be seen donning a full face mask with a skull on it. In the caption, Kim wrote, “Flashback to last years Japan trip when Kanye would wear full face masks.”
Although it’s unclear whether Kanye made this choice for creative purposes or as some kind of safety measure, regardless, it’s a hilarious shot of the multi-hyphenate mogul.

Rihanna Poses In Lavender Lingerie For New Savage X Fenty Campaign
Rihanna is looking stunning in the promotion for her brand new Savage x Fenty campaign.
Rihanna continues to be one of the biggest artists on the planet and while fans wait for some new music, she has been working on her Savage x Fenty campaigns. In fact, recently, a gorgeous photo of Rihanna in some lavender lingerie was posted on the Vogue Magazine Instagram page, as a way to promote a new contest that will let people at home be featured the next Savage x Fenty campaign.
All you have to do is submit your snaps to the Savage account and if you are selected, you will be able to take some photos over Facetime that will eventually be a part of the next Savage x Fenty drop. This is a pretty cool opportunity and it’s all a part of Rihanna’s efforts to provide COVID-19 relief to communities that need it.
Rihanna recently teamed up with Jack Dorsey of Twitter to donate $4.2 million to those who are experiencing domestic violence during the stay-at-home orders. The artist is continuing her efforts and it seems like she has absolutely no intention of slowing down, anytime soon.
Hopefully, when the quarantine is all said and done, Rihanna will finally be able to give us the music she has been working on. It’s certainly been a long time coming.

Beyoncé’s Whole Family Gets Tested For Coronavirus Ahead Of Mother’s Day
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, revealed that their whole family got tested for coronavirus, allowing them to spend Mother’s Day together.
Beyoncé’s whole family, including her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and sister, Solange Knowles, have tested negative for the coronavirus, meaning they may be able to spend Mother’s Day together as usual. On Friday, Mama Tina sat down for a virtual chat with Tamron Hall to discuss what she’s been up to since the coronavirus pandemic started. During the interview, she revealed that her whole family, including Beyoncé and Jay-Z and their three kids as well as Solange and her son, has in fact been tested for the respiratory virus, and that the results came back negative across the board.
“We all got tested,” Tina shared. “We’ve gotten the results back and everybody is okay, and so I hope that we can get together this Mother’s Day and have dinner together — and I can actually touch them for real.” Tamron then asks her how difficult it’s been to be apart from her daughters and grandchildren. “It makes me sad,” Tina confessed, “especially on Sundays, ’cause that’s the day we all get together. So on Sunday mornings, I got the blues.”

Tina also spoke about the work she’s been doing in partnership with Beyoncé and her BeyGOOD initiative to encourage folks in Houston to get themselves tested. The mother-daughter duo launched the #IDIDMYPART campaign, a mobile testing relief effort that will bring in medical center staffers to administer 1,000 free tests to Houstonians, as well as offer essential vitamins, household supplies and personal protective equipment.
Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg Slam Elliott Wilson Over 6ix9ine Post
Snoop Dogg and Meek Mill take a stand against 6ix9ine.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is home to reclaim his supposed throne as the King Of New York. In the past 24 hours alone, he’s caused a storm with the release of his new single “GOOBA” as well as his return to Instagram Live. Prior to all of that happening, he got into a bit of a back-and-forth with Meek Mill which seemingly bled into his Instagram Live when 6ix9ine began ranting about his numbers.
Though many members of the hip-hop community expressed their disdain, the curiosity of the general public was stronger and helped 6ix9ine earn 2M simultaneous viewers on his IG Live and apparently, rack up 16M views on the release of “GOOBA” in a matter of hours. Even still, the media closely followed the rainbow-haired rapper in the last 24 hours including renowned hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson. A series of photos surrounding 6ix9ine’s Live and single were shared to his IG profile, though it was met with criticism.
“Durkio dropped today and he the streets cmon Elliot? Post Durk shit it’s [fire],” Meek wrote. “No post from Durk on a hip hop page but this????? you the of Elliot.”
Snoop Dogg quickly doubled down on Meek’s sentiment writing, “They gotta stop pushing this [rat] all these media outlets making snitching cool.” Adding, “I’m old school fuck 69 and everybody pushing his line right now all New York. Gz. Feel me on this and if u don’t fuck u2. @meekmill if u allow sucka shit then u a ducks. Love u cuz stay sucka free.”
Though it should be noted that Meek made it clear that he’s friends with Elliott Wilson, he clearly expects a higher standard.
