Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti seemed like the best of friends just a few years ago. They had songs together and there were even reports that they were teaming up for a collab album. Over the past couple of weeks, however, the two have been at odds, with Uzi throwing a ton of shade at Carti on Twitter. In fact, when Carti announced the release date for his album that never came, Uzi claimed he would release a new song on that same day as a slight.

Last night, Uzi released his new song "Sasuke" to the world, and fans immediately began to look for subliminal shots. After Uzi claimed he wasn't dissing Carti on the song, the "@ MEH" rapper took to Twitter where he showed love to Uzi saying "i love u twin." From there, Uzi reciprocated the love with a message of his own.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been at the center of conflicting reports in the past week. He has not been seen in the past week which is especially peculiar since he was absent from celebrating North Korea’s most important holiday on April 5th, the Day of the Sun, which honors his grandfather. Speculation that he had fallen gravely ill began circulating but the leader of South Korea refuted those rumors.

As North Korea remains quiet about the rumors, fueling them even further, new reports claim that Kim Jong Un might actually be dead, according to Hong Kong-backed media outlet’s vice director, who is also the niece of a Chinese foreign minister. It should be noted this arrives after China sent a medical team to check in on Kim following the rumors of his disappearance. The claims initially emerged on Weibo, a popular social media app, claiming a “very solid source” has passed, International Business Times reports.

Meanwhile, a Japanese media outlet has reported that the North Korean leader is in a “vegetative state” after undergoing heart surgery. TMZ reports that he needed a stent procedure done after an incident in early April. They said that his surgery either wasn’t done in a timely enough fashion or the surgeon’s hands were shaky.

Heading into the offseason, Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans probably had no idea that they would be in for one of the best free agency periods in the franchise's history. It all started when Tom Brady signed a two-year, $50 million contract with the squad. Then, just this week, the team made a trade with the New England Patriots to acquire none other than Rob Gronkowski who has decided to come out of retirement.

Needless to say, fans are very excited about this, including Jane Castor who is the mayor of Tampa Bay. Today, she issued a letter on her Twitter account which is addressed to the two new faces of the franchise. As you can tell, Castor is over the moon about having this quarterback-tight end duo in her city.

Boosie Badazz‘s Instagram Live sessions were short-lived but hella entertaining. The Louisiana rapper hosted some debaucherous moments in the history of Instagram Live including the moment that produced the infamous line, “Put your pussy lips on live, and I’ll give ya a thousand dollars.”

Unfortunately, he was hit with a warning from Instagram and has since been slowing down on going on Live. In a recent interview with Vlad, he explained that he has since been put on “parole” for six months due to the mature nature of his live streams. “I’m on six months parole with Instagram,” he explained. “They sent me e-mails, like, ‘Boosie, one more time. One more pussy. If you show pussy one more time, it’s over.'” 

Tory Lanez also faced a similar fate earlier this month when Instagram prevented Quarantine Radio from streaming from Tory’s page. Though he later opened another page, that, too, was shut down. “You know, they stopped Tory Lanez. So, I was next, bro. They was on my ass so I had to turn it down,” Boosie continued. 

Earlier in the conversation, Boosie also gave Tory Lanez credit for having the hottest Instagram Live with Quarantine Radio. However, he did say that he was the originator of it. Either way, he clearly was equally entertained by Quarantine Radio. 

Perhaps the most popular sneaker silhouette over the last decade has been the AdidasYeezy Boost 350 V2. The shoe debuted all the way back in 2016 and has received numerous colorways despite its reputation of being known as a limited shoe, at the start. Now, Kanye West has numerous colorways planned for the summer and fall and one of them is being dubbed “Asriel.”

Thanks to the Instagram sneaker account @repgod888, we now have a fresh look at this offering which will certainly look familiar to some people. This model has a black and grey upper with varying shades throughout the top. For instance, above the pitch-black stripe, we have some grey materials. Meanwhile, below the black stripe is even more black but with some grey interwoven throughout. Meanwhile, the midsole and outsole are a cream color that lends a nice bit of contrast to the rest of the sneaker.

A major drop this week came from the late Juice WRLD’s estate, who released his first posthumous single since his tragic death last December. “Righteous” is included on our “Fire Emoji” playlist, alongside the very first offering from THE SCOTTS, a new hip hop duo comprised of Travis Scott and Kid Cudi (or, Scott Mescudi, hence the group name). Travis premiered THE SCOTTS self-titled single during his virtual, in-game Fortnite concert on Thursday night, much to the excitement of fans. 

Some great albums dropped this past week, as well, from artists like Wiz Khalifa, NBA YoungBoy, Trouble, and more. There has always been a huge rivalry between the likes of Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan. The Bad Boy Pistons dominated MJ’s Bulls back in the 80s and as we all know by now, Jordan absolutely despised them. In fact, Jordan made sure Thomas didn’t get a spot on the Dream Team back in 1992, simply Thomas beat him so many times.

In a recent interview, Thomas spoke about Jordan and whether or not he could truly be called the GOAT. As Thomas explains, there are multiple players with Jordan’s athleticism in the NBA right now and that if you were to put LeBron James and Kevin Durant in the 80s, they would probably be just as, if not more dominant.

“I think this generation [of players] is not getting enough credit for what they’re doing,” Thomas said. “Because the athletes that are in this generation are so far superior than what was in my generation. [When we were playing], Jordan was the best athlete that we had ever seen, [but] from an athletic standpoint, there are like 10 or 11 guys in the NBA right now with Jordan’s athleticism. We didn’t have that back then. With what [Kevin Durant] and LeBron are doing, if you put them back in the era of the ’80s, with their talent, their athleticism and their skill, who’s the GOAT?”

Thomas’s comments will certainly cause some debate in the comments section amongst LeBron and MJ stans. Regardless, it’s important to remember that we should just be happy to recognize greatness as opposed to harping on comparisons.

Though Lil Durk is living in Atlanta these days, Chicago will forever be his home. Even after moving from the Windy City, he continues to make sure that he gives back to his community in whatever way possible. Most recently, the rapper made sure to take care of the frontline workers who are helping battle the coronavirus pandemic right now.

Durkio and his team made their way to Rush Hospital in Chicago on Friday where they gave out free meals for the workers on the frontline of the pandemic. Healthcare workers were brought boxed meals from PHLAVZ, owned by Durk’s manager, while Durk and co. also had another 100 meals ready for pick up for healthcare workers on Friday night. 

It should be noted that Durk and his team did make sure to keep human contact to a minimum with one staff member bringing the meals inside to the rest of the hospitality staff.

“Everyone back home has been in my thoughts, especially those doing something for the community and all the neighborhood heroes,” Durk told TMZ. “I thought about all the first responders putting their lives on the line to help out and it inspired me, so I took a jet back to Chicago to show my thanks.”

Shout out to Lil Durk, a true Neighborhood Hero in the city of Chicago. 

Nike‘s new Air Max model for 2020 is a futuristic silhouette that pays homage to the Air Max 90. Of course, I am talking about the popular Nike Air Max 2090 which has been receiving numerous colorways over the last few weeks. This is surely going to be one of the most popular shoes of the spring and summer and Nike is making sure that all of their fans are covered, regardless of style preference.

For instance, we now have a fresh look at this “Iced Lilac/Black/Fire Pink/Flash Crimson” that will certainly go well with any sort of spring outfits you have planned. The upper is covered in pinks, purples, and oranges that mesh very well together thanks to the translucent synthetic upper. This is easily one of the flashiest colorways of this model we have seen so far and if you need to add something eclectic to your collection, we highly recommend these.

Offset‘s baby mama, Shya L’Amour, decided to use a Nicki Minaj soundbite in a recent TikTok video that seems to be directed at Cardi B. The mother of Offset’s five-year-old daughter, Kalea, is currently in the middle of a legal battle with the rapper as she attempts to acquire more child support from him. Shya, whose real name is Nicole Algarin, has accused Offset of failing to financially support his daughter and even withholding payments because Shya refused to have sex with him. She went on to expose him last week for attempting to cheat on Cardi while she was pregnant with Kulture, by leaking alleged texts from Offset where he was begging her for sex. Shya went on to address the situation in a since-deleted Instagram post, revealing that Cardi, has been just as “disrespectful” to her, even threatening to “smack” her on multiple occasions.

While neither Offset nor Cardi have publicly responded to Shya, she seemed to be referencing the whole ordeal in a recent TikTok video. Shya decided to use an audio snippet of Cardi’s former nemesis, Nicki Minaj, from her famous CRWN interview in 2018 where she discussed how people in the industry were trying to end her career. In the soundbite, Nicki declares, “You can’t get rid of me, b*tch! I’m not going nowhere. I’m not going no f*cking where.” 

Shya mouthed along to the audio in the TikTok video, and added the caption, “When everybody in his ear trying to convince him to leave you alone.” Do you think this was Shya’s attempt at taking a jab at Cardi and Offset, by using a cutting quote from Cardi’s former foe?
