City Girls fan celebrated when it was announced back in October that JT had been released from prison, after serving a little over twelve months for credit card fraud. However, there was another step in the process towards JT being freed from custody. Until this past Saturday (Mar. 7), the Miami rapper was forced to stay in the RRM Atlanta halfway house.
Hours after her release from federal custody, the 27-year-old took to Twitter to express her gratitude for being able to enjoy the simple privilege of her own bed. She posted a screenshot of her camera roll, which showed a bunch of selfies in which she looks delighted to be snuggled up on a comfy mattress. "Woke up in my own bed for the first time in 2 years! Happppppyyyyy," she wrote.
While JT gets to enjoy the comfort of her own home, according to legal documents read by TMZ, she will still be on probation for a year. The terms of her supervised release reportedly require her to perform 200 hours of community service.
The same day as JT was released from prison, she dropped a "First Day Out" track, as customary in hip hop. While JT has apparently been going hard working on new music, City Girls haven't put out much recently. They shared "You Tried It" back in November. Now that JT has more freedom, the duo will likely kick things into high gear.
Lil Uzi Vert Teases "Second Half" Of "Eternal Atake" Coming Soon
Lil Uzi Vert fans are EATING this year following the release of the long-awaited, "Eternal Atake."
The wait for Eternal Atake ended on Friday, or did it? Lil Uzi Vert dropped off his sophomore album on Friday morning without much warning but it appears that was only the first half of the project. The Philadelphia rapper hit Twitter earlier today where he revealed that a part two was on the way. "Dude I drop the first half of EA second half of Album ON THE WAY," he wrote on Twitter.

It's unclear what exactly he means by the "second half" of the project since he's been teasing the deluxe version of EA including eight new songs. "Bro when deluxe drop the real order of album is insane," he said on Twitter yesterday. Uzi has been putting in work heavily in recent times so it wouldn't be surprising if he had an arsenal of music he's waiting to unload now that EA is out.
Eternal Atake has easily been one of the most anticipated albums of the year and the sales projection clearly reflect that. The rapper is on pace to have 275-325k in his first week and expected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. What's more impressive is that Eternal Atake might end up outperforming Eminem's Music To Be Murdered By which stands as the second-biggest debut of the week following BTS's new album.

Drake & LeBron James Bro Up At Bronny James’ Game
Drake and LeBron James were seated courtside for 15-year-old Bronny James’ basketball game with Sierra Canyon.LeBron James is coming off a big win with the Los Angeles Lakers, finally defeating Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers in the battle for LA supremacy on Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the weekend though, No. 23 took some time to support his family, attending Sierra Canyon’s playoff game with his son Bronny James in the spotlight. The 15-year-old has been getting all kinds of looks as he begins to mimic his father’s greatness. Even some celebrities are stopping by to watch Bronny in action, with global superstar Drake kicking it off by sitting next to LeBron and his wife Savannah in the courtside area.
“My young demons doing numbers,” wrote Drake in an Instagram post after Sierra Canyon took down Harvard-Westlake. The high school playoff game attracted a crowd of three-thousand, with Drake and Bron being among the most famous people in the crowd. Bronny James did not factor too much into the win, but his presence was certainly felt. Amari Bailey finished with 22 points while Ziaire Williams clocked in 18.
Bronny James is expected to be drafted into the National Basketball Association as a high draft pick when the time comes. Do you think he will end up being even better than his dad?
Lakers Fan Breaks Motor Laws To Spew Hatred For Kawhi Leonard
Jared Dudley was pleasantly surprised by the outburst.
Jared Dudley has been one of the best locker room guys in the NBA over the last few seasons. While he doesn’t exactly get a ton of playing time or score a lot of points, you can always count on Dudley to bring his team together and get them ready for any challenge that may come their way. His experience has been worth a lot on the Los Angeles Lakers this season and it’s clear that the team loves him.
After yesterday’s big win against the Los Angeles Clippers, Dudley was walking around Los Angeles where he was met by a TMZ cameraman. During the exchange, Dudley spoke about the coronavirus and what the Lakers are doing to combat it. In the middle of the interview, a man in a car drove the wrong way on a one-way street just so he could yell “Fuck Kawhi.”
Of course, Kawhi Leonard is the Lakers’ biggest obstacle right now in terms of going to the NBA Finals. It remains to be seen whether or not the Lakers can dismantle the Clippers come playoff time although we can’t wait to find out. As for the fan, Dudley seemed impressed by his determination although didn’t exactly recommend the breaking of Los Angeles motor laws.
Moving forward, who do you have going farther in the postseason: the Lakers or Clippers?
Tekashi 6ix9ine Case: Nine Trey Member Appeals 17-Year Sentence
Nine Trey member Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack is appealing the 17-year-sentence ordered back in September.
Years of federal surveillance and a few slip-ups related to Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s career led to the government’s takedown of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. One of the members caught up in the mix is Aljermiah “Nuke”
Mack, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison for drug-dealing and racketeering. Mack, one of the twelve defendants in the case, received his sentencing after a two-week trial conducted back in September. His unfortunate fate was partially a result of Tekashi’s inclination for tattletaling. The rainbow-haired rapper testified that Mack was high up in Nine Trey’s ranks. It was also revealed during Mack’s trial that he had flipped NYPD Sergeant Arlicia Robinson, who is still awaiting sentencing for helping the gang transport heroin and other drugs around Brooklyn.
According to AllHipHop, Mack’s lawyer, Louis V. Fasulo, confirmed that his client was planning to fight the sentence. Mack will be joining a list of defendants in the Nine Trey case who are appealing their sentences, including Aaron “Bat” Young (20 years), Kifano “Shotti” Jordan (15 years) and Roland “Ro Murda” Martin (5 years).
If you’re a bit confused about the Nine Trey case and Tekashi’s involvement in it, it’s all being unpacked on the docu-series podcast, Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story.
Chris Brown’s "INDIGO" Short Film Officially In The Works
Chris Brown’s 2019 album “INDIGO” is getting an accompanying short film which the singer teased on Instagram earlier.
Chris Brown‘s Indigo album is getting a short film to accompany it. The singer hit Instagram earlier today to share a short snippet of some futuristic graphics with “Red” soundtracking the clip. “INDIGO MOVIE,” Breezy announced. “STARTS PRODUCTION SOON.” The singer previously announced the mini-film in January but he later deleted the post. At this point, he hasn’t shared much other information regarding the short film but it seems like he’ll be aiming to release it later this year.
Imeh Akpanudosen/Getty ImagesChris Brown’s already shared some cinematic visuals for Indigo so far including the Grammy-nominated, “No Guidance” featuring Drake. Following years of beefing with one another, they poked fun at the previous tension between them in the video with a dance-off. Needless to say, Drake didn’t stand a chance against Chris Brown.
Breezy’s album has already broken records across the boards so there’s no doubt an accompanying film will not only enhance streams but likely spark some sort of conversation surrounding his name. The singer recently celebrated his album earning one billion streams on Apple Music but back in August, the album already hit a billi across all streaming platforms.
Peep the teaser for the Indigo and keep your eyes peeled for more news surrounding Chris Brown’s short film below.
Rick Ross Responds To 50 Cent’s Legal Request
50 Cent has been trying to get Rick Ross to testify in their ongoing legal dispute since last year, but he still can’t pull it off.
The feud between Rick Ross and 50 Cent has lasted for years and, at times, it’s gotten pretty ugly. The two iconic rappers have taken their beef from wax to the courtroom with both of them now being involved in the same lawsuit. 50 Cent has admitted that he is not fond of the Miami staple in the least bit, telling an interviewer recently that there isn’t a single thing that he respects about Ross. In regards to their legal spat, Fif has been trying to get the rapper to testify for months. HotNewHipHop reached out to John T. Rose, Esq., the legal representative for Rick
Ross, for an exclusive update to get a better look into what exactly has been going on between both sides. If you’ve been following this case, you’re likely aware that a malpractice lawsuit was filed by 50 Cent against his former law firm related to the $7 million judgment awarded to Rick Ross in the lawsuit against his baby mother Lastonia Leviston. Many of Fiddy’s claims against Reed Smith, the law firm in question, have been dismissed and one of the major pieces that remain is whether the firm committed malpractice by failing to interview several key witnesses, including Rick Ross. Since the outcome of the lawsuit forced Fiddy to file for bankruptcy a few years ago, it makes sense why he would be so adamant to get this sorted out but, according to Rick Ross and his legal counsel, the way he has been going about it is all wrong.
Frazer Harrison/Getty Images“Our client Mr. Roberts has no problem appearing for a deposition, he just requires that Mr. Jackson follow the law,” says John T. Rose, Esq. in a statement to HotNewHipHop.
Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, has previously denied 50 Cent’s countless attempts to have him testify in relation to the case, informing the rapper that he does not have any information that would be pertinent to the legal outcome. Jackson is now attempting to get a Georgia court involved in the matter, filing papers to force Roberts to testify in the unrelated malpractice lawsuit. That motion is currently pending but it doesn’t look like Ross is too keen on getting involved.
We will be following this situation closely. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Lance Stephenson Nearing NBA Return: Report
Lance Stephenson is reportedly "in strong talks" to return to the Indiana Pacers if he can get out of his CBA deal.
Lance Stephenson is reportedly closing in on his return to the NBA following a season with the Chinese Basketball Association's Liaoning Flying Leopards. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Stephenson is "in strong talks" to return to the Indiana Pacers, so long as he is granted permission to get out of his contract with the Flying Leopards.
The Pacers (39-25) currently hold the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference but they are in need of a veteran wing as they gear up for the post-season following injuries to Malcolm Brogdon, T.J. Warren and Doug McDermott.
Stephenson, 29, broke into the NBA in 2010 following one season with the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Indiana Pacers selected the Brooklyn-native with the 40th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, and he spent his first four seasons with the club.
Since then, he has bounced around the league including stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, the Pacers again, and the Lakers. Stephenson signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Liaoning Flying Leopards during the summer of 2019, but it certainly looks like he'll soon be rejoining the Pacers for the third time.
For his NBA career, Stephenson boasts averages of 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists. His best statistical season came as a member of the Pacers in the 2013-14 season, where he posted 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 78 games.
