Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is a confirmed EOP - an Equal Opportunity Posterizer. That’s to say it doesn’t matter if you’re a close friend or a former teammate, LeBron has no issues whatsoever with dragging his undercarriage across your face as he takes flight.
Case in point, last night’s emphatic dunk over his ex-Laker teammate Josh Hart. As if the viral finish wasn’t devastating enough, LeBron took to IG on Wednesday afternoon to really rub it in with multiple photos and a looped video.
LeBron brought his A-game to Staples Center for Tuesday night's showdown against Hart and the other ex-Lakers, as well as his first matchup against Zion Williamson. LeBron was complimentary of the rookie phenom after LA’s win, but his actions on the court during the game sent a message that he isn’t ready to relinquish the throne just yet.
The 35-year old legend posted a season-high 40 points to go along with eight rebounds, six assists and one posterizing slam. Not to mention, the bag of Red Vines he enjoyed on the bench while his teammates closed out the 118-109 win. Catch some additional angles of the dunk, including the beautiful feed from Alex Caruso, below.
Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Shine In Nostalgic Throwback Pic
Snoop Dogg brings things back to the classic Death Row era with old school Dr. Dre throwback picture.
Snoop Dogg has been at the center of countless hip-hop classics, many of which were crafted alongside his trusted friend and collaborator Dr. Dre. Be it “Dre Day,” “Nothin But A G Thang,” the entirety of Snoop’s Doggystyle debut, or even early millennium cuts like “Just Dippin” and “The Next Episode,” Snoop and Dre have earned a place in the pantheon of classic hip-hop duos. Many fans of all ages understand that, and as such, the mere sight of them is enough to evoke waves of nostalgia.

As a proven master of the throwback pic, Snoop Dogg has continuously stacked his Instagram feed with enough gems to keep any self-respecting purist satisfied. This recent one is no exception, showcasing Dre and Snoop in the early stages of their careers without the slightest clue as to how massive their respective legacies would become. Thirty years deep, countless hits.
“Classic hip hop in front of a fly ass car,” captions Snoop, completely self-aware of his own cultural impact. To make the picture even more badass, fellow NWA alumni MC Ren came through in the comment section, instantly making me think of “Chin Check” and subsequently start listening to “Chin Check.” Come to think of it, everyone should probably listen to “Chin Check,” the song that briefly found Snoop holding it down as an unofficial NWA member.
Check out the picture below, and hit the comment section with your favorite Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre collaboration? Is it “Lay Low?” “G Thang?” “Imagine?” “The Wash?” So many options, so little time.
How Doja Cat’s "Mooo!" Set The Tone For Her Career
Transitioning from novelty to artist on the rise, we look at the ways in which Doja Cat’s first viral smash has informed her career from here on out.
At a time where it can feel like we’re being presented various shades of the same product, Doja Cat brings another flavour entirely. Equal parts inspired by Erykah Badu, Pharrell, Partynextdoor, video games and Japanese culture, the Los Angeles-born Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini has gone from being a tertiary artist gasping for the air of publicity to sending fans into hysterics with the news that she’d be heading out on tour or getting bankrolled to contribute to superhero movie soundtracks.

Far from a placid carbon-copy of what’s gone before, the raunchiness of Doja’s music is teamed with a vibrant sense of humour and an insistence on not taking herself too seriously. Brought into the major label sphere by the disgraced Dr.Luke and his Kemosabe imprint, it’s easy to forget that she’s not some overnight sensation when the volume of stories and fan accounts dedicated to her has risen at such a rapid rate over the past few years. Setting off with her 2014 EP Purrr! the talented vocalist began in the vein of a sultry R&B vocalist, producing music that shared more DNA with Jhene Aiko and Summer Walker than it does with her current contemporaries such as Megan Thee Stallion and Rico Nasty. Intoxicating as tracks such as “So High” and “Control” were, they lacked a real sense of identity. In her words, this came from an instinct “to collect all the things that interested me.”
Thrust into the industry during her teens, Doja has since been able to deconstruct why she reached something of a standstill when it came to increasing her profile in those early years. “I was high half the time. I was smoking hella weed. I was being a fucking delinquent,” she told The Face.”I had no idea how to be a businesswoman, and it took me about six years to realize that’s what I need to do.” Then, one fateful glint of inspiration would change everything. Made over the course of one day including filming a video with a makeshift bedspread green screen, the humorous yet undeniably catchy refrain of “Mooo!” changed everything. The kind of subject matter that could only be taken on by someone who was making YouTube tutorials at 14, Doja is very much a disciple of the internet in every sense and despite not being a conscious effort to create a meme, the “shitposting” mentality had naturally bled into the track.
Without trying too hard, Doja had found a way to harness virality and in turn, found a niche that completely altered her fortunes. “I proved to myself that I could do something that was worth watching,” she claimed. “It’s a fucking crazy video. Like, how do you not click that?” Organic as its creation was, with “Mooo!” Doja Cat found the crossroads between musical merit and comedy, a tone that her career has continued to carry. For her, it’s an integral part of the game as she told The Face that “I feel like you need to be a little bit of a comedian to be a rapper.”
After it brought new eyes and ears to what she was doing, the increased name recognition of rapping about a cow could’ve been the death knell for her legitimacy. In Doja’s case, her awareness of the internet’s practically non-existent attention span meant that it was time to feed them more content. As such, her March 2018 debut project Amala was reissued with the meme-worthy track in tow. Allowing those who’d came for the absurdity to stay for unique R&B and hip-hop hybrids such as “Go To Town” and “Candy.”

As the buzz around Doja as a major artist has grown, she’s remained mindful of what allotted her this favourable position in the first place. Thus, when it comes to social media, she offsets thirst traps with comedic hijinks, while her elaborate live streams give fans a chance to observe the creative process in real-time as well, and offer an opportunity to hear Doja’s trademark candidness— which is part and parcel with her approach to music, too. Meanwhile, Doja’s repertoire of YouTube-based acapella performances such as the Mark Morrison-inspired “Return of The Snack” ensures that there’s still an outlet for her frivolous fun-having antics, even when the stakes are a lot higher.
“That’s a small portion of my career, taking a moment to do something stupid,” she said. “I have a song called ‘Waffles Are Better Than Pancakes.’ If I can’t be goofy, I’ll go insane.” As her stock continued to climb, the natural impulse would be to follow the blueprint to the letter. Yet for Doja, the release of her November 2019 sophomore offering Hot Pink was a chance to show the world how she could infuse her more gaudy lyricism and jol edge with elite-level output.
“With my first album it was a little bit like I was practicing,” she informed The Fader. “It’s like, you know the first time you do anything, you kind of have to figure out who you are? I feel like with this second project I know who I am and I know what I want and I know what I want it to sound like. I’m really proud of this.”
Tasked with an unenbly thin line to walk, Hot Pink kept the spirit of the no-rules, no-consequences approach that defined her earlier work and allowed it to manifest in previously unanticipated ways. Sampling Blink-182, working with Gucci Mane and above all, approaching the record with a clear head, the exponential rise in chart position from Amala’s peak of #95 to Hot Pink’s massive push to number 19 on the Billboards goes to show that all the hard work is paying off.

Although “Mooo!” is behind her in some ways, everything from her more whimsical bars to her IG interactions means that she now judiciously walks a tightrope between being typecast and expanding far beyond the repressive limitations of a comedy rapper. Hitting on that sweet spot between zaniness and credibility that recalls Luda, Missy Elliott and De La Soul, what remains to be seen is whether this cross-sectional approach will allow her to crack that top 10 in the years to come. Either way, don’t expect the dalliances with social media-ready comedy to go anywhere fast.
“I just like to do the fun stuff,” she informed Billboard. “If I’m not having fun with it, I’m not going to do it for the rest of my life, I just wanna bring something fun — the current climate is so uptight and serious and it’s just good to have something stupid to laugh at.”
Lil Baby Wants To Manage The Next Selena Gomez
Lil Baby speaks on prison, his “dope boy” aspirations, one day owning a record label, and more in a brand new interview.
Atlanta stand-out Lil Baby is one of the biggest names in rap music but he doesn’t necessarily look the part. His voice is instantly recognizable and, due to his ascent into superstardom, so is his face. While the rapper has extraordinary drip, he has no tattoos on his body, which is pretty rare for somebody in his career path. He explained why it was a conscious choice for him to go inkless, as well as much more, in a brand new interview with the New York Times.
With his album My Turn coming out in a matter of days, Lil Baby is about to take over again. He has officially broken out and this is set to be his biggest project to date. Talking to the Times, the 25-year-old explained why he decided not to get any tattoos on his skin, which is something he’s never witnessed from his contemporaries.

“I never saw me being a rapper. A big-dog dope boy, that’s it. Not even just a dope boy. That’s why I ain’t got no tattoos, because I always knew I was going to run my money up, and I was going to have to go sit in front of some people to do something with my money. And I didn’t want them to look at me like a dope boy,” explained Baby.
“I had to keep my appearance straight. I literally said, ‘When I sit down in front of these white folks, I don’t want to have no tattoos.’ In a way, it’s still that today. Because when I’m sitting in these meetings, I don’t have tattoos on my face. I know they’d have to think something if I’ve got tattoos on my face.”
As for what he wants to accomplish in the coming years, Baby is hoping to transition into an executive role. “I want to be on some boss [expletive],” he said. “I don’t care about my own music. I really want to own a label — like Def Jam, though. Like Roc Nation. I’d rather go that way, where I manage a Selena Gomez and get 10 percent off of it. Where I’m not even on the scene no more. That’s my mind-set. Boy, if I can pop two artists right now, I’m down to slow up on what I got going on, straight up. Why wouldn’t I? I can make the same money and I don’t have to be catching all these planes.”
Elsewhere in the sit-down conversation, Lil Baby speaks about his experience in prison and why he plans on never going back, what he wants to achieve in the industry, and a drop in drug references in his songs.

Skip Bayless Gives Typical LeBron James Vs Zion Hot Take
Skip Bayless had a lot to say about LeBron James' first matchup against Zion Williamson.
LeBron James and Zion Williamson had their very first matchup against each other last night as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the New Orleans Pelicans. In the end, LeBron helped lead his team to a 118-109 victory as he put up an impressive 40 points. Zion was no slouch as he notched 29 points of which just so happens to be one of the highest totals of his short career.
Following the game, numerous pundits weighed in on the performances of both men and contemplated who played better. As you can imagine, Skip Bayless of FS1's Undisputed came in with some anti-Lebron propaganda, which is typically what he does, much to the dismay of Shannon Sharpe. In the clip below, Bayless says Zion was more impressive because of the "degree of difficulty." Bayless also argued that LeBron treated last night like a playoff game which is supposedly very unlike the Lakers superstar.
"LeBron James paid this 19-year-old kid the ultimate compliment last night because he came out and said: 'I am coming in all-out playoff game attack mode,'" Bayless wrote.
Bayless has been known for his anti-LeBron takes so the pro-Zion spin shouldn't come as a surprise. Don't get us wrong, both players were spectacular but Skip's reasoning for why Zion was better is a bit of a stretch. Although at this point, we're sure Bayless doesn't really care what people think of his opinion. In many ways, he's the best troll in sports media.
Future’s Baby Mama Snaps At His "Check Baby" Claims
Future said that his baby mama, Eliza Reign, has been referring to his alleged daughter as a “check baby” and she was not happy about those allegations.
If there’s one thing that Eliza Reign is correct about in her most recent statement, it’s that everybody is tired of hearing about the case involving Future and his alleged paternity of her baby girl. For months, there have been legal battles between the Atlanta rapper and his alleged baby mama, with plenty of stoppages in the ongoing child support pursuit. This week, Future actually accused Reign of getting pregnant on purpose, telling the court that she has been referring to her daughter as a “check baby.” Right on cue, she’s clapping back at that with a flurry of social uploads, attempting to prove him wrong.

Future’s baby mama drama, especially with Eliza Reign, has been ongoing for years. During Reign’s pregnancy, she alleged that the rapper threatened her life after publicly revealing that he had fathered her child. She was brave enough to speak out and, since then, they have been embroiled in a legal back-and-forth that seems to be going absolutely nowhere. After Hendrix’s most recent claims against Reign, she has taken to Instagram to clear her name.
“At this point, even I’m tired of hearing about the case. It’s much easier to just be responsible. Honestly,” wrote Fewtch’s alleged baby mama. She can say that again… “And for the record, I have never referred to Reign as a ‘check baby.’ Others who dislike me have. People can make claims all day but that’s a bit much. I love my baby and it shows. And that’s all ima say.”
But that wasn’t all she had to say. She went on to criticize Future for never even paying her a single dime to raise their baby. “Haven’t got a half penny since I got pregnant and she’s almost a year old. What check? I’m not speaking on him. I just gotta clear that up cuz at this point, it’s harassment, slander, and defamation.”
This is definitely dragging on for longer than it should have. At a certain point, enough has got to be enough.
