NBA All-Star weekend is in Chicago this year which means Bulls fans are extremely excited about the event. The Bulls have boasted some incredible All-Stars over the years including the likes of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. One of their biggest rivals during the late 80s and early 90s was none other than the Detroit Pistons led by Isiah Thomas. Today, Thomas was on First Take where he talked about the Bulls-Pistons rivalry and how he felt about it all.
As you can imagine, Thomas was quite defensive when pressed by Max Kellerman. Kellerman made the argument that once Jordan got another All-Star, he was finally able to push the Pistons to seven games. Thomas countered that argument by saying he never needed another All-Star and did it all himself. He later said head-to-head the Pistons were better which, of course, was met with some raucous boos from the Chicago crowd.
Kellerman seemed to heavily disagree with Thomas' arguments although he should know that the NBA legend is biased. When asked if your team was better than one of the greatest dynasties ever, you're going to say yes. You always want to believe you're the best and that's exactly what Thomas was doing here.
What do you think of Thomas' comments? Do you agree with him or is he way off?
Chanel West Coast Shredded For Complaining About IG Likes
Chanel West Coast complained that her friendliness has caused a dramatic decrease in her Instagram engagement levels.
Even though she's getting a bag from all the television ventures she's signed onto over the years, Chanel West Coast is pissed about a dramatic decrease in her Instagram engagement rates, venting in a new video and getting absolutely shredded for it. The Ridiculousness star has been on the small screen for so long and her music career has also flourished at times within the last decade. At a certain point, she was close to signing with Lil Wayne and Young Money Entertainment, but that never panned out. Even though she's got over three million followers on Instagram and is incredibly successful, she's peeved about how many people aren't double-tapping her shit, complaining in a minute-long video diary addition.

"Something I realized is that being a friendly person makes less people fuck with you," said Chanel West Coast on Snapchat, recording herself while driving. "I am the most friendly motherfucker ever. I just like people, I like everybody. Unless you give me a reason to not like you, I'll fucking like you. And if I follow you, I'ma like your pictures unless it's a really ugly bad picture, then maybe I won't like it. For the most part, I fucking like everybody's shit. And nobody likes my shit! Bitch, I'm fucking famous, on a million episodes of TV and you got way less followers than me. I'm liking your shit and you never wanna like my shit? Like, who the fuck do you think you are? Do you think I'm desperate because I'm friendly and, like, liking your shit? Ain't nobody fucking desperate! I'm just being nice so it would be nice if you could be nice back."
Oh boy... it sounds to me like Chanel West Coast could benefit from spending less time caring about what goes on on social media. If this ain't the most 2020 shit you've seen today...

Royce Da 5’9" Reflects On Getting Sober & Staying Faithful
Now eight years sober, Royce Da 5’9″ reflects on his battle with alcoholism and infidelity.
Royce Da 5’9″ wasn’t kidding when he dropped off “Overcomer,” having conquered two of most crippling vices — alcoholism and infidelity. After eight years of sobriety and two of his strongest albums to date in Layers and Book Of Ryan, Royce is gearing up to deliver his entirely self-produced project The Allegory on February 21st. Speaking with DJ Smallz Eyes, Nickle took a moment to reflect on his own experiences shaking his demons and coming to terms with a new and healthier normal.

“I think a lot of people that suffer from addiction reach a point where they get tired of it,” says Royce. “They either ignore it or they’re so hurt by whatever’s fueling it, so traumatized. They don’t understand it, don’t know it. Maybe they don’t have somebody to talk to. It’s different situations people can be in. I’m just one of those people, if I’m not going to listen to anybody, the least I can do is listen to myself. That’s how I was. People told me they thought I should quit drinking. I didn’t listen to any of them.”
He also speaks on his relationship with his wife, which was once fractured by his own habits of infidelity. “If you a girl that would come lay up and drink with me, it provides a camaraderie I’m looking for while under the influence,” he reflects. “But it’s still wrong. If I had to go in front of a judge I wouldn’t expect leniency.” He also admits that much of his decision was fueled by the pain his behavior caused his wife, something he takes full responsibility for. Kodak Black Appeals "Harsh" Prison Sentencing
Koda Black has filed to appeal his prison sentence for lying in order to buy firearms, claiming that the judge incorrectly abided by sentencing guidelines for convicted felons.
Kodak Black is challenging his three-and-a-half-year prison sentence for lying in order to purchase firearms, as he claims that he was sentenced under the guidelines for a convicted criminal, which he technically is not. In the appeal papers filed on February 12th, Kodak has argued that the judge who ordered his sentencing made the mistake of using what he contends to be the wrong sentencing guidelines. Kodak believe that the guidelines that the judge abided by to sentence him were reserved for convicted felons; however, Kodak avoided this label when he pled “no contest” in a previous case, thus his lawyers note that these specific, harsher guidelines shouldn’t have applied to him in the sentencing for this case.

The previous case for which Kodak pled “no contest” involved strong-arm robbery charges in Florida. Due to his plea, the courts declined to convict him, which allowed him to keep his civil rights and made him eligible to have the case sealed. Since he was never convicted in this case, then, he shouldn’t have been sentenced under the guidelines for convicts.

His current case occurred last fall when he was charges for making a false statement in the acquisition of a firearm after he tried to purchase a semiautomatic weapon from a firearms dealer. Kodak took a plea deal and was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison and three years probation. He has since spoken out about the inhumane treatment to which he and other inmates have been subjected, even alleging that he was locked in a bathroom on one occasion and drugged by guards on another.
Dwyane Wade, Common Among The Five NBA Dunk Contest Judges
Chicago-natives Dwyane Wade and Common revealed as part of the crew of judges for the 2020 NBA Dunk Contest.
Future NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade will be in the building at the United Center on All Star Saturday night, and not just as a spectator. Wade, a Chicago-native, has been announced as one of the five judges for the 2020 NBA Dunk Contest, joining fellow Chicago kid Common, former Chicago Bulls star and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, Los Angeles Sparks' forward Candace Parker, and actor Chadwick Boseman.

Though D-Wade never competed in the NBA Dunk Contest during his career, this won't be the first time that he'll be involved in the event. Last year, in his final season as an NBA player, Wade was brought out as a prop for New York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr, who windmilled an alley-oop over the Heat legend for a perfect 50.
As is tradition, the 2020 Slam Dunk Contest will cap off the festivities on All Star Saturday night, following the Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest. Competing in this year's event is Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon, Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr., and Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton.
Howard is the only former champion of the bunch, but both Gordon and Jones Jr. have experience in the dunk contest. According to Bovada, Gordon is a slight favorite to take home the crown this year with odds of +125, followed by Jones Jr. (+150), Connaughton (+45) and Howard (+500).
Quavo Appears In "Narcos: Mexico" Season 2
Netflix’s “Narcos: Mexico” Season 2 includes an appearance from Migos head honcho, Quavo.
Quavo‘s applying his real-life experiences from Atlanta bandos into the world of television with his recent appearance in season two of Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico. The new season launched on Netflix earlier today and fans quickly noticed a familiar face as Quavo popped up on the screen. The rapper later celebrated his recent venture into the world of Narcos on Instagram.
We can only imagine that this has been in the works for some time. Culture II included the single inspired by the series, aptly titled, “Narcos.” With the power of cross-branding, Netflix and Quality Control found a way to get both Migos and Narcos on the same page. Netflix gave them a “world premiere screening” of Narcos: Mexico season 1 in 2018 and filmed their live-reaction to the series. Clearly, that put them in a position to explore their relationship further with Quavo’s role on the show.
In related news, Migos will be releasing new music tonight as fans eagerly await the release of Culture III. Alongside Young Thug and Travis Scott, they will unleash “GNF” which stands for “Give No F*cks.” This is presumably the first single off of their forthcoming album which many have speculated will be arriving in late April or early May. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding Migos’ upcoming album.

Meek Mill Shows Very Rare, Old Mixtape Covers
Before getting signed to a major label, Meek Mill had the city of Philadelphia on lock with a number of fire mixtapes.
Before getting an opportunity to release music on a larger scale, Meek Mill was feeding the streets of Philadelphia with the hottest mixtapes on the market, dropping fire after fire on a regular basis. The critically-acclaimed Grammy-nominated rapper is currently working on his next studio album, which is set for a release later this year, but today he decided to rewind the hands of time a touch, looking back to some of the first bodies of work he ever crafted.

Chris McKay/Getty Images
We’re guaranteeing that the majority of people reading this weren’t aware of many of these mixtapes when they first dropped, with the exception of maybe one or two. Even if you’re the most dialled-in from your group of hip-hop-head friends, these were so localized that mostly only Philly fans would have heard of them. Back when he was sporting the long braids, Meek Mill worked out of a minor label called Headshot Records before moving to GT Franchise and, finally, Grand Hustle. Releasing a bunch of mixtapes while he was making a name for himself, the rapper shared the covers for each one, including his Flamers series, Mr. Philadelphia hosted by DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar, and an early offering called The Real Me. These days, we know him more for the Dreamchasers projects, Dreams and Nightmares, and Championships but before he became a household name, this is the kind of stuff he was coming in with.
If you’re discouraged about how your music career is moving, just remember that it took Meek Mill several tries to finally get on. Use this as your motivation of the day.
LeBron James Reacts To Devin Booker’s All Star Nomination
Team LeBron just got a brand new player.
LeBron James will be in Chicago this weekend for the annual NBA All-Star game. For the second straight year, LeBron will be captaining his own team. One of his most high profile players was none other than Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Unfortunately, Lillard went down with an injury on Wednesday night and will have to miss the festivities. To make up for his absence, the league announced earlier today that Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns would be the replacement. Of course, since Lillard was supposed to play for Team LeBron, James will get to play with the young Suns star.
After hearing the news, LeBron took to Twitter where he congratulated Booker for his latest accomplishment. With Booker on his team, LeBron's squad will surely be in for quite a bit of offense.
Last night, Lillard said he wanted Booker to replace him as he's someone who truly deserved the honor this season. Meanwhile, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies reacted to the news by saying he would work harder to get into the game someday. Considering everything Morant has done this season, we're sure he'll have plenty of All-Star appearances in the future.
Who do you have winning the All-Star game on Sunday? Team Giannis or Team LeBron?
Damian Lillard’s All Star Performance Plans Revealed After Injury
Dame D.O.L.L.A. isn't about to let an injury get in the way.
Damian Lillard went down with a groin injury last night and it was revealed that he would have to miss a couple of weeks. This, of course, means he will be missing the All-Star game which is certainly a big disappointment for him. Earlier today, it was revealed that none other than Devin Booker would be replacing him on Team LeBron. Lillard's injury was made interesting by the fact that he was slated to perform on Saturday at the skills competition.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Dame D.O.L.L.A. still plans to perform despite the injury. Dame has released three albums throughout his music career and this summer, he released his latest effort, Big D.O.L.L.A. Fans were looking forward to his performance so this news should come as a welcomed surprise for those who thought he would skip out on the festivities altogether.
Lillard's absence from the game itself will certainly be disappointing when you consider how potent he's been offensively over the last few weeks. Lillard has been putting up some incredible numbers and has singlehandedly stopped the Blazers from sinking deeper to the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
Surely, these next two weeks will provide him with a chance to rest and come back 100 percent as the team tries to make a playoff push.
