One of the most coveted sneaker releases of the entire year, the Ben & Jerry's Nike SB Dunk Low "Chunky Dunky," has officially come and gone and you had to be speedy and incredibly lucky to get your hands on a pair. Releasing at various skate shops across the nation, a more general release was held on the SNKRS app this morning and, as usual, virtually nobody was able to check out.
Copping sneakers has become a struggle as you almost always need to have a plug or a bot to be able to secure your size. If not, you're likely stuck paying resale. In this case, the after-market price for the "Chunky Dunky" Nike SB Dunk Lows is incredibly high, making anybody who struck out pretty upset. As of this publication, certain sizes are going for over $2,000.
Sneakerheads took to social media to voice their frustration after not being able to get a pair of the hyped shoes, drowning themselves in tears and praying that the next pair would be easier to cop. With this being the year of the Dunks, you can bet your top dollar that another sneaker will come crashing down on us, leading to this vicious cycle all over again.
