Roddy Ricch and DaBaby have been proven to be this generation's most trusted hitmakers, at least in the past few months. Well, for DaBaby, it's been the past year yet he's never earned a chart-topper. Today, Billboard reports that his new collaboration with Roddy Ricch, the fan-favorite "ROCKSTAR," is now the new number one song in the country. The song is off of Baby's latest project, Blame It On Baby and has gained a significant amount of traction in the past few weeks.
For Baby, it's his first number-one single but Roddy Ricch clocks in his second number-one single this year. "The Box" is having an insane run on the charts, as it held the top spot for several weeks, similar to Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road." Roddy still claims two spots in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 as "The Box" holds it down at number 9.
Another major move on the charts in SAINt JHN's "Roses" which has been picking up steam over the past few months, thanks to TikTok. Now, the song is rose to number 10 on the Hot 100 following the release of the remix featuring Future. Perhaps SAINt JHN is also on his way to clocking the first number-one single of his career.

Tory Lanez & The Weeknd Dueling For This Week’s #1 Album
Whether it’s The Weeknd or Tory Lanez who secures the number one spot, the real winner is the city of Toronto.
At this rate, it’s impossible to have missed out on Tory Lanez‘s ongoing Instagram Live series Quarantine Radio, which has become something of an antics-fueled phenomenon of late. Raking in massive audiences due to its hilarious mix of twerking, playfully obnoxious commentary, and inevitable celebrity cameos, it’s no wonder Lanez has used the opportunity as a means to promote his brand new album The New Toronto 3.
And what a tactic it was, manifesting into an impressive first-week tally ranging from between 60k-70k in album-equivalent units, a number that could grow as the stats fluctuate. In any other week, such a strong release would have surely clinched the number one spot on the Billboard charts — enter The Weeknd, whose recent After Hours project continues to build momentum and threaten any claimant daring to come for its throne.
Even though Tory has proven himself to be one of the quarantine’s biggest MVP’s, it would appear the enduring mystique of his fellow Torontonian remains formidable even weeks removed from his initial release. And while it’s not all about landing at number one, it would certainly be nice to see Lanez secure his first-ever top placement, especially after he’s been carrying things on his back amidst this seemingly endless quarantine state. One thing is for sure, however — no matter how you spin it, the real winner here is the city of Toronto.
Justin Bieber Accused Of Doing Too Much To Get "Yummy" To #1
Justin Bieber's battling Roddy Ricch for the #1 spot.
Justin Bieber jumped on Instagram Live yesterday and recorded himself on a bus with his wife Hailey Bieber as he invited fans to join his live session, just to ask them if they've streamed and downloaded his recent single, "Yummy." After getting a "yes" from most of his fans, he asked them to promise him they downloaded or bought the track, all in an effort to get his single to #1 on Billboard.

Justin's self-promo behaviour has pulled in some reactions from fans and users on Twitter who think the Canadian singer is tricking the system to get his number one placement. A banner appeared online that details instructions for fans to listen to "Yummy" on low volume while you sleep as well as buying the song on his website "multiple times." We can't confirm if Justin's team made the ad or if it was an eager fan following in Justin's footsteps.
Justin's new single is competing with Roddy Ricch's “The Box” for number one and it seems as though fans of each artist are fighting for their designated song.
