The list is spearheaded by this year's Academy Award winner for Best Picture, Parasite. Bong Joon-ho's newest film is a welcome critique of class structure and income inequality told through the juxtaposition of two families in South Korea.
Parasite is far from the only highlight. Providing support are both Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2, Zombieland, Risky Business, Misery and more.
As for what is leaving Hulu by the end of April, 28 Days Later, National Lampoon’s Vacation, The Tenant and others will all be gone by April 30th. Make sure to stream them beforehand.

Mark Ruffalo Talks "Parasite" TV Series & Possible "She-Hulk" Cameo
Mark Ruffalo stopped by the C2E2 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo to confirm that he’s in talks for HBO’s “Parasite” TV show and a possible appearance in the Disney+ “She-Hulk” series.
Mark Ruffalo became a fan-favorite in the MCU for his role as The Hulk in Iron Man 3, Captain Marvel and every film in The Avengers series. Now it looks like he may be reprising his role as the iconic superhero for the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk, in addition to starring in HBO’s upcoming television adaptation of “Best Picture”-winning film Parasite.

Ruffalo made an appearance at the C2E2 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (seen above) to spill a few minor details on his involvement in both projects. While he kept it a bit brief when discussing She-Hulk, saying he’s only in “preliminary talks” at this point, Mark did confirm that news of his involvement in the Parasite television series is pretty accurate. “We’ve met. I love him [Bong Joon-ho], I love that movie,” the Dark Waters actor said, following up adding, “I might be playing the father in Parasite on a television show. I would love to do it. We’re sort of waiting on the script and all that, but yeah, that’s pretty much true and in the works.”
Mark Ruffalo also joked about Martin Scorsese’s recent comments where he deemed Marvel films as “not cinema,” saying he’d make an amazing, “more dark” Marvel film. Read up more on that over at ComicBook, and let us know if you’d be down to see The Hulk and She-Hulk meet on Disney+ or if Ruffalo would make a good fit in a Parasite television adaptation down in the comments.
An Animal That Doesn’t Need Oxygen Was Just Discovered
Henneguya salminicola, a parasite recently discovered by researchers, is the first multicellular animal that can survive without oxygen and doesn’t even have DNA in its mitochondria.
Researchers have been pretty busy with all the new discoveries that’ve been popping up recently, whether it be a cousin to the T-Rex known as “Reaper Of Death” or the more ominous COVID-19 Coronavirus. However, we now have a new animal to welcome to the kingdom that doesn’t even need oxygen to breathe. Oh, and you won’t believe what it leeches on for survival.
STEPHANE DE SAKUTIN/AFP Getty Images
Its scientific name is Henneguya salminicola, and this parasite is the first multicellular animal that doesn’t breathe nor has mitochondrial DNA according to a report from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Following extensive research, Henneguya salminicola is believed to maintain by literally living off salmon in what appear as “white cysts that resemble tapioca.” While the thought is sure to bring a pretty gross image to mind, thankfully it’s neither harmful to the infected fish itself or humans that ingest it. The parasite has apparently developed over time to gain such abilities, and gets its “first of” title due to the existence of single-celled organisms that can survive without oxygen. Although there are a handful of multicellular animals that reportedly can live without oxygen, studies have yet to officially confirm that fact. Well, more like yet since studies are currently being conducted.

"Parasite" Will Be Streaming On Hulu
After securing four Academy Awards including Best Picture, “Parasite” is set to land on Hulu this April.
Coming off a historic Best Picture win at the 2020 Academy Awards, Bong Joon Ho’s acclaimed thriller Parasite has many western eyes looking at South Korean cinema with curiousity. Not only did it take home the big prize, but it also secured Oscars for Best International Film, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Director. Though President Donald Trump wasn’t exactly thrilled to see a South Korean film captivating hearts and minds, the vast majority of audiences found themselves enamored with Joon Ho’s meticulously crafted tale on class warfare.
As expected, Parasite has been benefitting from a major boon in interest following its Oscar haul, to the point where many have been eagerly awaiting its arrival on streaming platforms. Evidently, a new report indicates that the film has found a new home in HULU, who scored the exclusive United States rights. Good news for those sitting comfortably beneath the Disney umbrella — for those averse to Mouse loyalty, there’s always the blu-ray option.
In truth, cinephiles have been patiently waiting for South Korea to get its due; long have we seen classic films fly under the radar, from Oldboy to The Handmaiden, I Saw The Devil to The Wailing. If you haven’t yet seen Parasite, consider it to be the quintessential gateway into the dark twisted and beautiful world of South Korean cinema. Parasite stars Song Kang Ho, Choi Woo Shik, Park So Dam, Cho Yeo Jeong, Lee Jung Eun, Lee Sun Kyun and Chang Hyae Jin. Should you be interested, catch it exclusively on Hulu starting April 8th.
"Parasite" Accused Of Plot-Jacking Indian Film
Bong Joon-ho’s Oscar-winning film “Parasite” is being accused of plagiarizing Indian filmmaker P.L. Thenappan’s 1999 rom-com “Minsara Kanna.”
Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is fresh off of winning the best picture at the Oscars but the South Korean film is now being accused of biting the plot of an Indian film from the 90s.
Indian filmmaker P.L. Thenappan told India Today that the concept of his 1999 romantic comedy Minsara Kanna was plagiarized in Joon-ho’s Parasite. “I saw the South Korean film ‘Parasite’ and I feel that they have stolen the film’s crux from ‘Minsara Kanna.’ I’m in talks with international lawyers and contemplating on filing a case against the makers of Parasite soon,” he said.
“They have taken the plot from my film. When they find out that some of our films have been inspired by their films, they file cases. Similarly, it is only fair for us to do the same,” Thenappan added in an interview with TNM News.
Despite Thenappan’s claims of plagiarism, the director of Minsara Kanna, K.S. Ravikumar, applaud Parasite for the Oscar win. “I’m happy that the story has received an Oscar, even if it [‘Minsara Kanna’] served as an inspiration. However, filing a case is up to the producer,” he said.
CJ Entertainment, the production company behind Parasite issued a statement denying any of these claims that the plot was stolen. “We have no knowledge about plagiarism claims from an Indian film. We have not received any information regarding this issue,” they said.
Donald Trump Isn’t Happy "Parasite" Won Best Picture
Donald Trump isn't a fan of "Parasite."
The 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, recently expressed his disdain for Bong Joon-Ho's Parasite (2019) winning the award for Best Picture at the 92nd Annual Academy Awards. Feb. 9, the South Korean-based film made history winning all of the categories it was nominated in, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, Best International Feature Film, and Best Picture. The film became the first non-English movie ever to win the Oscar for Best Picture in Academy history.
On Thursday (Feb. 20), Donald Trump visited Colorado Springs for a rally and insisted on chipping in on one of pop culture's most revered feature films stating:
"How bad were the Academy Awards this year?" Trump said at the rally. "And, the winner is… a movie from South Korea! What the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it, they give them best movie of the year? Was it good? I don’t know... Let’s get Gone With the Wind. Can we get like Gone With the Wind back, please? Sunset Boulevard, so many great movies."
While Trump's packed house of supporters applauded his stance against Parasite getting its flowers, the movie's distribution team, Neon decided to clap back their Twitter account saying, "Understandable, he can't read."
The Democratic National Committee also chipped in their two cents on Trump's comments Tweeting, "Parasite is a foreign movie about how oblivious the ultra-rich are about the struggles of the working class, and it requires two hours of reading subtitles. Of course, Trump hates it."
And with Twitter being Twitter, the masses couldn't help but flame Donald Trump for his Gone With The Wind endorsement and Parasite hate. Check out some of those Tweets below:
With the 2020 Presidential elections around the corner, Donald Trump will be making his way throughout the country and will definitely provide the masses with more questionably cringy sound bites than ever. Check out President Trump's full Colorado Springs rally in the video provided below.
"Sonic The Hedgehog" Finishes In First, "Parasite" Soars At Box Office
“Sonic The Hedgehog” surpassed expectations at the box office and secured the number one spot for President’s Weekend.
Sonic The Hedgehog cruised to the finish line, easily securing the top spot at the box office this weekend with earning at $57 million in North America and $100 million globally, according to Variety.
By the end of the long weekend, expectations predict Sonic will finish with $68-70 million. This is all good news for Paramount as the film cost $87 million to make and was hit with a 3-month delay to completely redesign the titular character after fans protested his appearance in the original trailer.
“The consumer always determines what is right and what is wrong. They made their voices clear, and we listened,” said Chris Aronson, Paramount’s president of domestic distribution, of the character redesign. “This movie exceeded [audience’s] expectations. That’s a testament to that reset and terrific performances by Jim Carrey and the entire cast.”
The film stars Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Ben Schwartz and is directed by Jeff Fowler.
Parasite saw a major boost of $5.5 million this weekend after its historic Oscar win. By the end of the weekend, its project to earn $6.6 million. That’s a 234% increase in ticket sales from before the Oscars. This is the biggest post-Oscars increase for a film in the last 10 years.

TMZ Catches Heat For Allegedly Mocking Korean "Parasite" Cast For Not Speaking English
The outlet has been under heavy criticism lately.
Entertainment gossip outlet TMZ has been inciting anger from the public lately. Weeks ago, TMZ was the first to report that Kobe Bryant has perished in a helicopter crash. Later, police would hold a press conference where they called out the outlet for sharing the news before authorities were able to contact the families involved. The public backlash was swift, but Harvey Levin insisted that he received Vanessa Bryant's approval.

Following the historic Academy Awards on Sunday (February 9), TMZ has ensnared themselves in drama once again now that they're being accused of mocking the Korean production and cast of Parasite. The South Korean film took home four wins, including Best Picture, and TMZ cameraman attempted to speak with them after the ceremony.
However, because they don't speak English, communication was difficult. The cast avoided the questions or politely smiled and walked away, but the voiceover actor comedically delivered the line: "Now that you have got the fancy Oscars, you think you are too good to talk to us? You shallow, selfish, entitled."
Then, the voiceover actor called Byeongkwan and Jun of KPOP group A.C.E. members of BTS and the mixup made people lose their minds. The public accused the outlet of racism and stereotyping Asians, and people made sure to let their opinions be heard. Check out the clip from TMZ and a few reactions below.
HBO Eyeing Mark Ruffalo For "Parasite" TV Series
“Parasite” is being helmed into a six-hour series.
Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite film made history at last night’s Oscar Awards when it became the first foreign-language movie to win Best Picture. The South Korean filmmaker jumped on stage to accept each of his four awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film) clearly taken back by his own accomplishments and at one point showing love to Martin Scorsese for inspiring his film endeavors.

Collider now reports that HBO is in early developments of turning the film into a series for the network. While details are on the low, the publication reports that Mark Ruffalo is being eyed to star in the television rendition. Bong will be teaming with Adam McKay on the series to produce five or six episodes. The publication reached out to the network for a statement. “The HBO limited series inspired by Parasite is in the early stages of development, and to speculate on any characters or casting is wildly premature,” they responded.
“I had all these key ideas accumulated from when I started writing the script,” Bong said of the series. “I just couldn’t include all those ideas in the two-hour running time of the film, so they’re all stored in my iPad and my goal with this limited series is to create a six-hour-long film.”
Chrissy Teigen Blasts Alt-Right Troll Over "Parasite" Oscar Win: "What A Dumb F*cking Tool"
Chrissy Teigen wants all the smoke with Blaze TV host, Jon Miller.
Last night, Parasite (2019) made history becoming the first-ever non-English film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Director, Bong Joon Ho, and his colleagues also won awards for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best International Feature Film, for the genre-blending film. Parasite was able to accomplish all of this in one single night despite some members of the Academy being openly racist towards the South Korean-based movie. While Bong Joon Ho and company became the topic of the night for their dominant performance, one Blaze TV host, named Jon Miller, thought he would share his bigoted opinion about the Joon Ho's acceptance for Best Screenplay Tweeting:
"A man named Bong Joon Ho wins #Oscar for best original screenplay over Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 1917. Acceptance speech was: 'GREAT HONOR. THANK YOU.' Then he proceeds to give the rest of his speech in Korean. These people are the destruction of America."
The rather unknown right-wing media person then followed up his Tweet stating that Joon Ho and his team were undeserving of their Oscar wins in lazy fashion saying:
"'These people' are obviously not Koreans but those in Hollywood awarding a foreign film that stokes flames of class warfare over 2 films I thought were more deserving simply to show how woke they are. That should be clear from the rest of what I tweeted about tonight’s production."
Chrissy Teigen who just so happens to be of Thai descent and well-versed in Twitter conflicts came across Miller's Tweet and decided to add her two cents to his hateful sentiment Tweeting:
"What a dumb f*cking tool you are, your family is embarrassed. At gatherings they’re literally like 'how’s Jon doing that little dumb fuck tool' and everyone goes 'yeah we don’t care he’s a fucking dumb shit' - come say hi if you’re out tonight."
Chrissy Teigen's husband, Grammy Award-winning and Sexiest Man Alive, John Legend, added a classy comment of his own his Twitter account, writing:
"Do they pay you for these dumb takes or is this something you do for fun."
In recent years, the general population has become well aware of how certain media platforms use their influence to mobilize certain groups and spread their rhetoric. For those intelligent enough to perform their own research and live outside of media influence, navigating the socio-political atmosphere has become deceptive and disheartening. Hopefully, this Jon Miller guy didn't lose control of his bladder or lose sleep over Korean film getting its just-do praise at this year's Academy Awards and the success of Parasite broadens the world's palate in regards to quality artistic expression.
Check out the full list of Oscars winners, here, and check out the preview to this year's Best Picture Award recipient, Parasite, below.
