Ben Simmons has been one of the best big-men in the Eastern Conference over the last few years. While playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, he has helped turn the team into bonafide contenders who could someday play for an NBA championship. There have been rumors about his chemistry with Joel Embiid and whether or not the two can survive longterm together. With that being said, 76ers fans prefer them together although they would always love an extra player thrown into the mix.
During a recent Call Of Duty Livestream, Simmons was reading fan comments where he stumbled on one urging for Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, to come join the Sixers. Out of context, it seems like this was Simmons' own sentiment. The Sixers big knew this could be misconstrued and immediately noted that this is simply a fan comment and that he has no say on the matter.
Just based on Simmons' playful tone, it is quite obvious that he would love to play with Booker and honestly, who wouldn't. With that being said, there are tampering rules that state how you're not allowed to recruit players from other teams prior to the free agency period. With few paychecks coming in from the NBA right now, the last thing Simmons wants to do is be hit with a hefty fine.
Perhaps soon, we can see these two on the court together. However, it would certainly take a lot of movement for that to happen.
Phoenix Suns To Play Out Rest Of Season On NBA 2K
Phoenix Suns are at peak antics right now.
Now that the NBA season has been suspended until further notice, athletes don't know what to do with themselves. Simply put, that 14-day quarantine hits different. All jokes aside, many players and teams are beside themselves as they try to figure out what to do with all of this spare time. The Phoenix Suns have seemingly figured it out and quite honestly, it's not a terrible idea. If Coronavirus didn't give gamers enough of a reason to rise up before, it certainly will now.
On Twitter, the Suns announced that the rest of the season will be played out on NBA 2K20 and can be watched on Twitch. Yes, that's right, the Suns are playing the rest of their scheduled games in video game form. This will begin tomorrow as the Suns take on the Dallas Mavericks in the digital hellscape that is NBA 2K20.
This latest move is perfect for the Suns as it means they actually have a chance at making the playoffs. Suns fans have only experienced the Larry O'Brien trophy in video games and with this latest move, we're surely in for yet another unexpected victory. The squad just better hope another bubble playoff team doesn't do the same thing. I mean, if the Grizzlies do this too, the Suns are finished.
Devin Booker Learns Of NBA Shutdown While Streaming: Watch
Devin Booker's reaction was similar to the fans.
Last night was wild if you're an NBA player or a fan. In fact, it will most likely go down as one of the most shocking moments in sports history. Essentially, Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz was diagnosed with the Coronavirus which forced the NBA into an impossible situation. In the end, they decided to completely shut down the season until further notice. It was a decision that was not made lightly and could have serious ramifications for the rest of the season.
Numerous players reacted to the news with a heavy dose of shock. Perhaps one of the most visceral reactions came from none other than Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns. Booker was streaming some video games on Twitch when his friend came over to him and explained the situation. That's when Booker turned to his friend and couldn't believe what was going on. He then turned his head and kept gaming as there was really nothing else for him to do at that point.
This is a dire situation for the NBA and over the next couple of days, they will be taking the time to discuss whether or not the season should go on following the hiatus. There are millions of dollars at stake right now and if something isn't decided upon soon, the NBA and other sports leagues could have a serious problem on their hands.
Stay tuned for updates on this situation as we will be sure to bring them to you.
Devin Booker Reveals Kobe Bryant-Inspired Tattoo
Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker shares a look at his new “Be Legendary” tattoo inspired by a message from Kobe Bryant.
Phoenix Suns All Star Devin Booker is one of the many “Team Kobe” guys in the NBA who developed a strong relationship with the Black Mamba while routinely lacing up Bryant’s beloved Nike sneakers throughout his career.
Following a game against the late, great Laker legend in 2016, Booker – who was a rookie at the time – received an autographed pair of Nike Kobe 11 Elite Lows from the man himself. On one shoe, Kobe wrote, “To The Young Gun!” along with his signature. The other shoe reads, “To Book, Be Legendary.” And now, that “Be Legendary” script is stamped on Booker’s forearm forever.

In the aftermath of Kobe Bryant’s passing, a number of his current and former teammates as well as other athletes, celebrities and fans have set out to permanently ink tributes to the Laker legend on their bodies. For instance, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis received Black Mamba themed tattoos, while The Game went all out with some new artwork above his eye and Cleveland Browns star Odell Beckham Jr. added some photorealistic ink on his ribcage.

LeBron James Reacts To Devin Booker’s All Star Nomination
Team LeBron just got a brand new player.
LeBron James will be in Chicago this weekend for the annual NBA All-Star game. For the second straight year, LeBron will be captaining his own team. One of his most high profile players was none other than Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Unfortunately, Lillard went down with an injury on Wednesday night and will have to miss the festivities. To make up for his absence, the league announced earlier today that Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns would be the replacement. Of course, since Lillard was supposed to play for Team LeBron, James will get to play with the young Suns star.
After hearing the news, LeBron took to Twitter where he congratulated Booker for his latest accomplishment. With Booker on his team, LeBron's squad will surely be in for quite a bit of offense.
Last night, Lillard said he wanted Booker to replace him as he's someone who truly deserved the honor this season. Meanwhile, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies reacted to the news by saying he would work harder to get into the game someday. Considering everything Morant has done this season, we're sure he'll have plenty of All-Star appearances in the future.
Who do you have winning the All-Star game on Sunday? Team Giannis or Team LeBron?
Stephen A. Smith Proposes Ridiculous Kyle Kuzma Lakers Trade
Stephen A. had some explaining to do.
Stephen A. Smith has been known to dole out his fair share of hot takes although, on Tuesday, he came through with a truly head-scratching proposal. During a segment on First Take, the panel was talking about what the Lakers would need to do in order to get to the next level and eventually become a bonafide championship contender. Smith said the Lakers would need to make a trade for a sharpshooter and that they should be looking towards the Phoenix Suns.
Smith decided the Lakers should trade young star Kyle Kuzma and a first-round pick in exchange for Devin Booker. Yes, the exact same Devin Booker with multiple 50-point games and the weight of an entire franchise on his shoulders. Needless to say, Smith's idea was certainly a shocking one.
Fans couldn't believe what they were hearing and immediately reacted with "stay off the weed" jokes. Eventually, Smith had a Q & A later that day and one fan decided to step up and ask Smith about his recent proposal. Smith simply explained that he was creating hypothetical scenarios and that he doesn't expect such a deal to actually take place.
