Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly believes it's safe to fly again and is hopeful business will pick up for the airline.

“We’re doing everything possible to encourage people to come back and fly,” he told CBS’s “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan. "We're cleaning airplanes and we're requiring masks for our employees and our customers. We're using very deep cleanings every night. We're using electrostatic misters, which will kill the virus on surfaces for up to thirty days. We're exercising social distancing. And onboard the aircraft, we won't be booking aircraft full, so that people can spread out."
Other airlines including Delta, United, American, and JetBlue are all also requiring passengers to wear face masks.
Southwest Airlines reported a quarterly loss of $94 million in April. Kelly says business has improved each week of the last month and expects it to continue to do so.
Kelly says 400 aircrafts have been grounded during the pandemic. “The demand is not there,” he said. “So, obviously if things don’t improve we have to downsize.”
“[We’re] doing everything we can to make it as safe as humanly possible,” he added. “I don’t think the risk on an airplane is any greater risk than anywhere else."

Trump Agrees He’s Done More For Black Americans "Than Any Other President"
Trump agrees with a supporter who said that he's done more for Black Americans than any other president, though "Honest Abe wasn't bad."
Donald Trump's presidency's been tasked with its biggest test to date -- the coronavirus pandemic. Over the past few weeks, we've watched the pandemic unravel in America and how Donald Trump, along with the task force, has handled it. There has no doubt been backlash, but even in the midst of a pandemic, Trump has found time to clapback at his critics on social media.

Earlier today, Donald Trump seemingly went on a Twitter spree where he responded to a few of his supporters as if he had just dropped a new album. Among the many comments he received praising his work in office was one supporter who tweeted, "Trump has done more for Blacks than all the other Presidents combined! Are we together?"
Trump quoted the tweet and agreed with the sentiment, though he did give Abraham Lincoln, who famously freed slaves in America, his credit. Many people would disagree with this sentiment, though clearly, Trump does have his fair share of supporters who do think that he's done more for the Black American population than any other president.
Donald Trump has been trying to win over Black voters as the days inch closer to the Presidential election that's supposed to take place later this year. Though he's touted that the Black unemployment rate reached an all-time low during his time in office, the pandemic has hit Black communities in America harder, as well as unemployment rates.

“These weapons were designed for one purpose and one purpose only: to kill the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said. “There is no use and no place for such weapons in Canada.”
The new policy forbids the use, purchase, sale, transportation, and import of 1,500 different assault weapon models.
“Their families deserve more than thoughts and prayers,” Trudeau continued “Canadians deserve more than thoughts and prayers.”
22 people were murdered in Nova Scotia on April 18 and 19 by a gunman equipped with semi-automatic rifles and handguns.
Opponents of the decision cite the illegality of means by which weapons used in mass shootings are acquired. Andrew Scheer, the leader of the Conservative Party, reacted in a statement, explaining his position that this will not stop criminals from accessing guns: “Taking firearms away from law-abiding citizens does nothing to stop dangerous criminals who obtain their guns illegally. The reality is, the vast majority of gun crimes are committed with illegally obtained firearms.”
Politico reports that over 72,000 gun-owning Canadians will be affected by the new assault weapon policy.

Gov. Mike Parson is taking steps to reopen the state through the Show Me Strong recovery plan. Retail stores and restaurants will be able to resume business, but must limit capacity to a safe number of patrons.
Concertgoers will still be required to observe social distancing guidelines and stay at least six feet apart.
“There are currently no limitations on social gatherings as long as necessary precautions are taken and six feet of distance can be maintained between individuals and/or families,” the Show Me Strong recovery plan says.
“We are currently assessing the details of the announcement and the latest information from health experts,” Matt Gerding of FPC Live, the company which manages The Blue Note, a live venue in Columbia, tells Billboard. “We hope to chart a path to reopening as soon as possible but have not determined the timing of that just yet.”
“No matter how long it takes, I assure you we will recover from this and come back better than before. I look forward to seeing Missourians safe, healthy, and back to work,” Governor Parson said in April.

5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Puerto Rico During COVID-19 Lockdown
A massive earthquake rattled Puerto Rico and damaged buildings.
The city of Ponce in Puerto Rico was rattled by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 at the wee hours of Saturday morning. Though a tsunami advisory was not issued, officials in Puerto Rico determined that it did cause some destruction. Ponce Mayor Maria "Mayita" Melendez revealed that buildings were damaged but officials are currently focusing on making sure that citizens are okay while analyzing the level of damage done.
According to CNN, surrounding areas were also struck with earthquakes around 3.4 to 4.9 on the Richter scale. Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced updated citizens on the status of investigations on Twitter. Vasquez said that there hasn't been damage done outside of the Ponce area after officials investigated into three dams.
"We emphasize the importance of remaining calm and urge everyone to always use a face covering when outside the home," Vazquez said in a tweet. Vasquez also shared gratitude for Trump and FEMA. "Thanks to the coordinator of @femaregion2, Alex Amparo for communication. Puerto Rico will have all the resources it needs for any assistance. @realDonaldTrump," she added.
Following the earthquake, The Electric Energy Authority tweeted that the EcoElecrica power plant was down, though they assured citizens that they were working hard at bringing it back. There hasn't been any indication of how many residents had lost power due to the shortage.
Kim Jong Un Reportedly Fled To Resort With 2,000-Woman "Pleasure Squad"
Kim Jong Un is reportedly alive and well and is even enjoying some time with his pleasure squad.
Reports of Kim Jong Un's demise have been greatly exaggerated over the last few weeks. It all started when a report surfaced that the North Korean leader had been rendered brain dead following unsuccessful heart surgery. A week later, it was reported that Kim Jong Un had passed away and that his sister would be taking over the country. Now, reports have suggested that Kim Jong Un is actually alive and has escaped to a resort in North Korea that allows him to escape the threat of the Coronavirus.
According to UK paper The Sun, Kim Jong Un has brought his 2,000-woman pleasure squad with him. For those who don't know, the pleasure squad is comprised of women who were allegedly taken from school at a young age and led into a life of sex work. This 2,000-woman squad engages in performances for North Korean officials and it is rumored they also partake in sex orgies with the country's leader.
It is being reported that the Pleasure Squad has been active since the 1970s and that Kim Jong Un actually brought them back in 2015 after a few years of pause.
Little is known about what goes on in North Korea but based on these reports, the country engages in some shocking practices, to say the least.
Alex Jones Scares Masses With Insane Rant About Eating His Neighbors
Alex Jones says he is ready to eat your ass.
Alex Jones is certainly one of the biggest political hacks of our time. Let's face it, you can be right-leaning, you can be left-leaning, but you can also be certified crazy, and that's exactly the group Jones finds himself in on a daily basis. The InfoWars host has been peddling a lot of crazy theories throughout the course of the Coronavirus pandemic and now, he has gone full "mask off;" claiming that he is ready to resort to cannibalism if need be.
"I'll admit it. I will eat my neighbors," Jones said Friday. "I won't have to for a few years 'cause I got food and stuff. ... But I'm literally looking at my neighbors now and going, 'I'm ready to hang 'em up and gut 'em and skin 'em. My daughters aren't starving to death. I will eat my neighbors...I will."
Jones eventually took his rant a step further, acknowledging that he would rather not become a cannibal. However, he has clearly put quite a bit of thought into this.
"You think I like sizing up my neighbor?" he continued. "I'm gonna haul him up by a chain and chop his ass up! I'll do it! My children aren't going hungry. I will eat your ass! And that's what I want the globalists to know—I will eat your ass first."
If you are one of Jones' neighbors, it would probably be best to either move or get a restraining order. In fact, if you're a dinner guest at Jones', it would probably be best not to eat the soup. You never know what could be floating around in there.

Joe Biden Denies Sexual Assault Allegations
After fielding a disturbing sexual assault accusation from a former aide, Joe Biden has come forward to issue a statement.
Though Joe Biden is all but guaranteed to emerge as the Democratic presidential nominee, a development that would place him in a head-on battle with Donald Trump, there remains a disturbing dark cloud hovering over the former VP. It began when a former aide by the name of Tara Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her twenty-seven years ago, provided details about an encounter with Biden in 1993. As she explained: “[Biden] had me up against the wall; he used his knee to spread open my legs and put his fingers inside me.”

Since Biden’s presidential campaign has picked up momentum, Reade has again raised awareness toward their alleged encounter; though initially reticent to cover the story at all, many mainstream news media outlets have finally taken the plunge and addressed the possibility of its authenticity. With the narrative continuing to plague his reputation, Joe Biden finally addressed Reade’s allegations by way of complete denial.
“This never happened,” reads the statement. “While the details of these allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault are complicated, two things are not complicated. One is that women deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and when they step forward they should be heard, not silenced. The second is that their stories should be subject to appropriate inquiry and scrutiny. Responsible news organizations should examine and evaluate the full and growing record of inconsistencies in her story, which has changed repeatedly in both small and big ways.”
The statement continues: “She has said she raised some of these issues with her supervisor and senior staffers from my office at the time. They — both men and a woman — have said, unequivocally, that she never came to them and complained or raised issues. News organizations that have talked with literally dozens of former staffers have not found one — not one — who corroborated her allegations in any way. Indeed, many of them spoke to the culture of an office that would not have tolerated harassment in any way — as indeed I would not have.”
It should be noted that Biden has not reached out to Tara Reade, nor does it appear he intends to. One thing is certain, however — this will not be the last we hear of this, especially if Trump has his way on the debate stage.
U.S. Unemployment Claims Total 30 Million In Span Of Six Weeks
Unemployment claims continue to rise week by week, with the latest numbers reaching another all-time high.
As the United States continues to combat the pandemic, jobless claims rise each week. President Trump has announced that federal social distancing guidelines will not be renewed, and thus it’ll be up to individual states to enact guidelines as they see fit, but that doesn’t mean things are on the up and up just yet.
Unemployment claims continues to reach new milestones, showcasing just how much this pandemic is affecting America’s economy, let alone the people in it. It was a month ago that we reported on the all-time high unemployment claims, and now, more than a month later, that remains true again. Just last week, it was reported that 22 millions Americans were out of a job— now that talley is up to more than 30 million, according to New York Times’ latest stats. This is in the span of six weeks alone, with 3.8 million people filed claims this past week, helping to bring that number up.
Still, even these numbers aren’t expected to fully encompass everyone who is out of a job, as some surely haven’t applied for any benefits, or tried to, but failed to finish their application.
There are now over 1 million confirmed Coronavirus cases in the United States, and just over 61,000 deaths.
Georgia Scraps Road Test To Obtain License During Pandemic
You can now get a driver’s license in Georgia without having to go through a road test.
Georgia just made getting a driver’s license far easier during the pandemic but is this a good thing? Fox reports that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp just made an executive decision for teenagers who are getting their license during the pandemic to skip over the driving test, given that they get permission from their parents.

Teen drivers are still expected to fulfill all other requirements to obtain a license but the on-road test has been suspended in wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the fact that a driving test would require the driver and the instructor sitting side-by-side, the Department of Driver Services revealed the new policy to respect social distancing measures.
“During these unprecedented times, the Department of Driver Services is trying to make it as easy as a process for people to get their license and to lessen the burden on people right now,” Stormi Kenney, owner of Kennesaw Driving School, told the local news outlet.
Kenney still made it clear that students would have to make sure they got all 40 hours of supervised time inside of a wheel with a licensed driver.
This is not a permanent decision, however. The state’s executive order will extend into mid-May but with the current state of the pandemic, perhaps this might get extended even longer.
