Atlanta rapper Lil Baby has established himself as one of the biggest names in rap this year, earning his first #1 album with My Turn. He just released the deluxe edition with six new songs but the 25-year-old never stops working. He wants to ensure he's always got enough beats to hop in the studio and deliver the magic we know him for and, as a result, he's looking to sign a bunch of up-and-coming producers to his 4PF label.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Lil Baby encouraged producers to send through their beats and information so he could give them a look, potentially even signing them to a life-changing deal.
"I’m trying to sign 10 producers," wrote Baby. His replies are filled with beat snippets and messages from producers who are trying to become the next big star in the music business.
If ever you've wanted to get a credit on Lil Baby's next album -- or maybe on the Lamborghini Boys mixtape -- this is your chance.
Lil Baby has been making major noise around the world, most recently featuring on the brand new remix of "Dealer" by RMR with Future. He also released the music video for "We Paid" with his artist 42 Dugg this week.

Stevie J Wants IG Live Battle: "I’ll End Any X Every Producers Career"
Stevie J says he can take the heat because he's one of, if not the best in the game—yes, even Kanye West.
It's time to put some respect on Stevie J's name—that is, according to the hitmaker. The Grammy Award-winning producer is known for his work with Bad Boy Records and crafting tracks for Diddy, Notorious B.I.G., Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Rick Ross, Summer Walker, Bobby V, Faith Evans, Black Rob, Jay Z, and more. He's responsible for "Only You" by 112, Biggie's "Mo Money Mo Problems," and Mariah Carey's "Honey," but Stevie J feels as if people aren't giving him the props he deserves.

All of this Instagram Live Battle and Verzuz talk has rap and hip hop fans bringing up artists and producers that some people have overlooked, including Stevie. A fan wrote on Twitter, "I really want @hitmansteviej to go against any producer!!" to which the Love & Hip Hop star replied, "I’ll end any x every producers career." That's a bold statement, but he believes he has the receipts to back up his declaration.
When someone asked if Kanye West was in that group, Stevie J said, "He’s dope but yep." There have been rumors that Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are attempting to get Diddy and Dr. Dre to face off in a Verzuz battle—for a price with proceeds going to charity—but someone tweeted that those two aren't a proper match. According to the Twitter user, Dr. Dre should go up against Kanye while someone like Diddy should battle an artist like Stevie.
"Dudes not bringing my name up because NONE of them can touch me vocally or musically. Not cocky jus facts!" he wrote in response. Do you agree with Stevie J on this one?
Russ & Childish Major Subtly Beef, Guapdad 4000 & Boi-1da Join The Fun
The Russ Hate Train does not stop.
It's not like artists are able to tour, or go to the studio (let alone leave their house) right now, so as you can imagine, plenty of artists are using this isolation time as an opportunity to work on new music, and share it with the fans. Some are putting on nightly IG live performances, interviewing fellow celebs on Live, or hosting insane competitions like Tory Lanez.
Among the rappers who are sharing in-the-moment updates on whatever it is they're working, there is the always-working Russ. Russ has been emblematic of the idiom that hard work pays off, after he essentially blew himself up when he went on an ambitious journey to drop one song a week for a year. It's become common knowledge that the man is disliked among hip-hop masses, and apparently we can count the talented producer slash singer Childish Major in that camp.
Timothy Norris/Getty Images
When Russ shared a video, innocently enough, that was captioned "bring soul samples back 2020." Childish re-shared with a comment, "Lol un quantize everything and it’ll be good." It wasn't too firey, let's be real, and it's unclear what exactly the tone is in his tweet. When a fan in reply to Childish said that they no longer listen to Russ, because Guapdad said so (stemming to the two's own beefing issues), Guap jumped right in to confirm this as fact: "Period."
Russ, perhaps always on the defensive, spoke back to Childish Major in a subtweet, and eventually, Boi-1da also chimed in, supporting Russ.
Childish replied from there, asking Russ to lighten up a bit. Maybe it was just a misconstrued light-hearted joke all along? Check out the banter below.
The Weeknd’s "After Hours" Production Credits Revealed
The Weeknd’s anticipated “After Hours” album features production from himself, Metro Boomin, and more.
The Weeknd isn’t about to let a pandemic slow his roll, with his upcoming album After Hours all set to arrive on Friday, March 20th. His first full-length album since 2016’s Starboy, an album that cemented him as one of hip-pop’s biggest superstars, After Hours features fourteen tracks and no discernible guest appearances; naturally, it’s never unwise to brace oneself for surprise features, being that they’re all the rage nowadays.

James Bond Producer Explains Why 007 Has To Be Male
We won’t be seeing a Jane Bond any time soon.
With Daniel Craig stepping down from his role as James Bond, producers are searching for someone to take his place. While no one has been chosen, producer Barbara Broccoli says the role will definitely be given to a man.

“He can be of any color, but he is male,” Broccoli said, according to IndieWire. “I believe we should be creating new characters for women—strong female characters. I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that.”
Eva Green, who played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, has expressed similar sentiments in the past: “I’m for women, but I really think James Bond should remain a man. It doesn’t make sense for him to be a woman. Women can play different types of characters, be in action movies and be superheroes, but James Bond should always be a man and not be Jane Bond. There is history with the character that should continue. He should be played by a man.”
Rachel Weisz, who is married to Craig, has also agreed: “Why not create your own story rather than jumping on to the shoulders and being compared to all those other male predecessors? Women are really fascinating and interesting and should get their own stories.”
The newest Bond film, No Time to Die, is set to release on April 10, 2020.
Eminem’s "Music To Be Murdered By" Produced By Dr. Dre, D.A. Doman & More
Em tapped some of his frequent collaborators as well as some new names.
Eminem took us all by surprise on Friday when he dropped his new album, Music To Be Murdered By, out of absolutely nowhere. The Hitchcock-inspired album pays homage to the late film director’s 1958 one and only album of the same name, with Em posing with a hatchet in one hand and a pistol in the other both held up to his head on the cover, just as Hitchock did. While this no-warning drop was definitely a wonderful surprise for his fans, others were less than impressed with some of the controversial lyrics. The album boasts some exciting features, such as Don Toliver, Young M.A, Royce Da 5’9″, Ed Sheeran, Anderson .Paak, Black Thought, the late Juice WRLD, and more, but the production team is even more impressive. Luis Resto and Dawaun Parker offered their services on a number of tracks, but Em’s longtime producing partner, Dr. Dre, takes the cake with 7 total production credits on the 20-track album. Other producers frequent the list, as well, such as D.A. Doman (aka D.A. Got That Dope) and Trevor Lawrence Jr. Check out the full list of the album’s production credits below:

Tory Lanez Is Doing 20 Records A Night & Looking For More Producers: "Send Me A Pack"
Tory Lanez gave IG a new music update, and we might be in for a few projects in 2020 based off his current studio output.
Following the successful release of Chixtape 5 last November, Tory Lanez is already back in the stu with plans to drop some fresh heat for the new year. With just two weeks into 2020, the “Jerry Sprunger” rap-singer seems to be already ahead of the curve when it comes to delivering a new project.
Claiming to be in his bag by recording “20 records a night” as he wrote on Instagram yesterday (seen above), Lanez might just go and drop Chixtape 6,Chixtape 7 and Chixtape 8 back to back if he doesn’t slow down. Even better, it seems like he’s looking for producers across the world to send him material that could possibly end up on a future album or mixtape, enthusiastically telling his followers, “ALL PRODUCERS WITH FLAME ! SEND ME A PACK [sic].” For those still learning music industry lingo, a “pack” is short for “sample pack” and consists of sounds, loops and one-shots that producers use to build out the beats that become hit records. Hey, shoot your shot, people!
While we wait to see where all this new material will appear, check out this snippet clip in the meantime of a soon-to-be-released song titled “Broke In A Minute” that Tory Lanez posted a few days ago:
