Before you get too excited, this isn’t a new album or anything. Eminem has been doing a lot to keep his community active during the quarantine, specifically encouraging Detroit DJs to keep up their hard work by establishing a contest to be featured on his Shade 45 radio station. Now, Em is deciding to keep the hip-hop heads happy this weekend with some classic tunes, launching his “Music To Be Quarantined By” playlist.
Titled after his recent album Music To Be Murdered By, the three-hour-long special will include a bunch of songs that Eminem has been listening to while quarantined in his home. It will air for the first time at noon EST on Saturday, May 2.
On the docket will be lots of music from rap’s past generations, including tracks from Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G, Beastie Boys, MC Lyte, Mobb Deep, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Run DMC, and more.
Encores of the show will air all weekend, as well as the following week if you’re unable to catch it when it premieres.
Eminem has been giving back during the pandemic, sending spaghetti meals to his local healthcare facility and teaming up with StockX to give away a rare pair of his Air Jordan 4 x Carhartt collaboration.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow!
