Former Boston Celtics Player Kendrick Perkins says Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen once held a boxing match, while beefing with each other.

"It was a point in time where Rondo was up there as probably like top five point guards in the league," Perkins explained in an interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio, this week. "You had Derrick Rose, you had Chris Paul, and then the next person that was coming to mind was Rondo. Like a Tony Parker, but Rondo was right there. He was making multiple All-Star games, breaking assists records, getting triple-doubles. ... And it was the 2009-2010 season—no, 2008-2009, where [it] came up that, you know, New Orleans was—Chris Paul wanted out, I guess. And it was rumors started to circulate and it was brought to the table that what if we trade Rondo and get CP."
"It was even to the point where we brought boxing gloves to the gym and they got on boxing gloves," Perkins added. "We made them box it out for like two rounds."

LeBron James & Rajon Rondo Confront Bobby Portis After KCP Hit
Bobby Portis immediately regretted his decision.
This season hasn't been very fun for the New York Knicks. The previous sentence can be written in pretty well any given year but I digress. Last night, the Lakers delivered an absolute beatdown on the Knicks as they came away with a huge 117-87 victory. Unfortunately, the Lakers lost Anthony Davis to injury and it appears as though he'll have to miss a couple of games. Perhaps the other biggest highlight of last night's game was when Bobby Portis of the Knicks went up and slapped Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the back of the head. The hard foul eventually got Portis ejected from the game.
LeBron James and Rajon Rondo were both on the court at the time of the foul and weren't very happy with what they had just seen. The two ended up getting in Portis' face and gave him some choice words before leaving well enough alone.
Portis appeared to be somewhat apologetic for his actions and immediately recognized the damage he had done. KCP laid on the court for a while before eventually getting up with the help of his teammates. It was a rough play that had some Staples Center fans concerned for Caldwell-Pope's health.
We're sure the next time these two play, Portis will be much more mindful of his actions.
Rajon Rondo Gives Troll The Death Stare After Being Mistaken For Chris Paul
Rondo doesn't play when it comes to CP3.
People on the internet will do anything for a little clout these days, even if it could cost them bodily harm. For instance, one bold internet troll recently spotted Rajon Rondo out in public and had the audacity to give him a hug while saying, "It's my favorite point guard, Chris Paul."
As basketball fans know, Rondo and Paul have had beef for years and if looks could kill Rondo would have iced this opportunistic troll right there in that store.
The Rondo-CP3 feud dates back at least a dozen years, back when the two point guards were trying out for the Team USA Olympic roster in 2008. Paul made the roster, Rondo got cut and the two have had several on-court altercations since then.
One of the most recent incidents occurred early last season, when Rondo was accused of spitting at CP3 which led to a brawl and multiple suspensions. After that game, Rondo didn't mince words when speaking about his long-time foe.
"Of course, the NBA went with his side because I got three games and he got two," Rondo told ESPN. "Everyone wants to believe Chris Paul is a good guy. They don't know he's a horrible teammate. They don't know how he treats people. Look at what he did last year when he was in L.A.; trying to get to the Clippers' locker room. They don't want to believe he's capable of taunting and igniting an incident.
As seen in the videos embedded below, Rondo isn't the only person who has fallen victim to the "mistaken identity" schtick.
