"I was at New York City Bagel Coffee House on Broadway and 30th Street getting my bagel and noticed a patron (pictured below) who was coughing, not covering her mouth, and not wearing a mask," the woman who was coughed on wrote on Facebook. "I politely pointed this out to the woman working at the store and told her that the store should enforce masks to worn by patrons while inside the store."
"The unmasked patron overheard my complaint and became enraged yelling at me calling me names claiming she has covid antibodies and doesn’t need to wear a mask in public so I should mind my own F’ing business. She then proceeded to come towards me and repeatedly cough on me as seen in this video."
New York has been one of the hardest-hit areas for the COVID-19 outbreak; however, things are trending in a positive direction. The city recently entered phase-1 of its reopening process.
"I will NEVER be going back to New York City Bagel Coffee House Broadway and 30th Street because they still served this woman and none of the employees asked if I was okay," the woman ended her post. "Plus Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company has way better bagels and kinder staff."

Eve Dubs Stassi Schroeder “The Poster Girl For White Privilege”
Eve is not having it.
Cast members from Bravo’s hit TV show Vanderpump Rules Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Dute have been fired for racist behavior, and rapper Eve aired out the pair on an episode of “The Talk” Friday.
Eve specifically called out the fact that the two women reported former costarm Faith Stowers, to the police for a crime she did not commit. “It is so ridiculous,” said Eve. “It is not funny to call the cops on anyone falsely, but especially a Black woman. To be calling the cops on this woman, are you … what type of person are you?”
The 41-year-old rapper further went in on Schroeder, referencing her June 7th apology where she apologized for her previous comments and promised to, “continue to take accountability for what I have said and done, while pushing myself to do better.”
“It disgusts me. I’ve read her statement, her sorry and I don’t want your sorry, I don’t think you’ve changed,” Eve explained. “I think you’re sorry you got your whoever dropped you from your endorsements. I think you’re sorry about the fact you wont be on that TV show being famous for nothing.”

After her behavior was exposed by Stowers, Schroeder was dropped by her publicist, her podcast was canceled, and she lost partnerships with brands like Billie and Ritual.
As Eve continued to call out Schroeder, she also referenced a 2017 episode of Stassi’s podcast where she complained about Black people seeking special treatment in Hollywood.
“Black people in Hollywood need to stop complaining … that is, she is the poster child for white privilege,” Eve added. “She’s the poster child for white privilege. Come on!”

21 Savage Holds His Grammy Like A Menace In This Picture
Have you ever seen somebody carry their Grammy Award as carelessly as 21 Savage?
Everybody has been getting their engraved Grammy Awards in the mail, including Cardi B and Roddy Ricch. Both rappers showed off their prized possessions, cherishing their awards with the utmost care. 21 Savage, on the other hand, is doing shit like this.
Clearly, the Atlanta rapper isn’t really bothered about the upkeep of his new award because, well, he’s treating it just like a child would with their new pick-up from Toys”R”Us.
Savage posted a picture outside, showing off his physique (which has people begging the rapper to get back in the gym) and carrying his Grammy Award in the strangest manner. Instead of lightly holding it from its base, 21 Savage keeps the gold gramophone tucked between his fingers, almost as if he were holding some brass knuckles. Seriously, we’ve never seen anybody carry a Grammy quite like this.
At this rate, he’s going to have to pass over it with a wipe every hour with all the fingerprints that will smudge up its beauty.
21 Savage has recently been in the studio, working on Savage Mode 2 with Metro Boomin. The project is reportedly nearly complete, with Metro Boomin addressing fans and claiming that his rapper buddy is basically holed up in the stu.

“Staircase Karen” Goes On Racist Rant Once Again In Torrance, CA
Another video captures a racist and xenophobic “Karen”.
On Thursday a video surfaced of a middle-aged caucasion woman goading an Asian man during what seems to be a dispute sparked by their parked cars. “I am not a racist person, but you know what, you need to go home,” said the woman.
The same woman appeared in a similar video on Wednesday. The clip showed her berating a young Asian female after an encounter on a staircase at the park. “Go back to whatever fucking Asian country you belong,” adding “You bitch! This is not your place, this is not your home, we don’t want you here!” The taunting goes on for over a minute with little response from the young woman.
Once again unprovoked, the woman lashed out with prejudiced comments against the Asian man. As the conversation continued, the woman threatened the police and started to mock the man with an accent, “you are going to go to real jail now.” “You understand me China man?” she repeated several times.
She continued in the mocking accent, “go home to your family.” “You’re way too close,” She said. “Get away from me.” Ironically, when the video pans to the woman’s car, she appears to be parked way over the line.
The man later made a statement concerning the encounter: “In 2020, no one should be hearing these kinds of racial slurs,” said the man. “It’s completely another thing to say racial slurs to minors, they need to be protected.”
The Torrance Police Department is reportedly looking into these incidents.

Merriam-Webster Expands Definition Of Racism After Black Woman Contacts Them
Merriam-Webster amended its definition of racism after a recent college graduate repeatedly contacted them about including systematic racism.
It's not an easy feat for the definition of words to be amended by Merriam-Webster, but Drake University graduate Kennedy Mitchum was able to do just that. According to reports, 22-year-old Kennedy repeatedly contacted representatives and staff members working for Merriam-Webster in an effort to have them not change the definition of the word "racism," but to add to its meaning.
“I kept having to tell them that definition is not representative of what is actually happening in the world. The way that racism occurs in real life is not just prejudice, it’s the systemic racism that is happening for a lot of black Americans,” she shared with CNN. It came to her surprise when someone finally contacted her to let her know that they understood her point, and they would make necessary changes.
Merriam-Webster editor Alex Chambers reportedly said, “While our focus will always be on faithfully reflecting the real-world usage of a word, not on promoting any particular viewpoint, we have concluded that omitting any mention of the systemic aspects of racism promotes a certain viewpoint in itself.”
Prior to the change, Merriam-Webster defined racism as "a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.” They've now included, "a: doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles" and "b: a political or social system founded on racism."
"This revision would not have been made without your persistence in contacting us about this problem," Alex Chambers wrote to Kenndy in an email. "We sincerely thank you for repeatedly writing in and apologize for the harm and offense we have caused in failing to address this issue sooner."
Walmart Will No Longer Lock Up Black Beauty Products
After facing online criticism, Walmart will no longer hold black beauty products in locked cases.
In response to growing online pressure, Walmart has announced that it will no longer keep Black beauty products in locked display cases. The policy, intended by the corporation to prevent shoplifting, was previously implemented in 4700 stores. “We have made the decision to discontinue placing multicultural hair care and beauty products in locked cases,” the company said Wednesday in an emailed statement and tweet.
Although the policy has been standard practice for a while, it recently became the focus of social media criticism from people noticing the double standard between Walmart’s approach to products intended for white shoppers and those marketed towards the black community. The backlash largely began after the issue was highlighted by CBS Denver reporter Tori Mason. However, criticism of Walmart is nothing new. The company also recently came under fire for its negligence towards the coronavirus and an insensitive Paul Walker tweet.
Walmart’s decision to unlock Black hair products comes amidst growing protests against racial injustice andGeorge Floyd’s death that several companies have released public statements and implemented policy changes to express solidarity with. In addition to repealing their ‘multicultural’ hair-care lockdown, Walmart Chief Executive Doug McMillon has announced that the company, in partnership with the Walmart Foundation, is pledging $100-million to create a racial equity center.
NYPD Lieutenant Regrets Kneeling With Protesters: "I Made The Wrong Decision"
Police have been applauded for kneeling with protesters, but one NYPD Lieutenant now claims he regrets his decision.
At the launch of the recent Black Lives Matter protests, many cops assigned to monitor the thousands taking to city streets responded violently. Millions of protesters exercised their right to gather together, but not all police departments were welcoming. People were met with tear gas, rubber bullets, batons, and the like, but as the days went on—after much criticism—some officers hoped to quell animosities by kneeling with protesters. While this is a highly criticized move, especially considering its a nod to Colin Kaepernick who was vilified for the peaceful gesture, some cops hoped that it would keep the peace in the streets.
Manhattan New York Police Department Lt. Robert Cattani was photographed kneeling with his fellow officers last week, but it's a move that he now claims to regret. Cattani reportedly sent out an email stating that "the cop in me wants to kick my own ass." He wrote “The conditions prior to the decision to take a knee were very difficult as we were put center stage with the entire crowd chanting. I know I made the wrong decision. We didn’t know how the protesters would have reacted if we didn’t and were attempting to reduce any extra violence.”
Cattani added that he hoped that kneeling would keep protesters from hurting officers. “I was wrong. At least that what I told myself when we made that bad decision. I know that it was wrong and something I will be shamed and humiliated about for the rest of my life.” He added, “We all know that a–hole in Minneapolis was wrong," when speaking about Derek Chauvin, the former officer responsible for the death of George Floyd.
He also said kneeling "goes against every principle and value I stand for."
Starbucks Responds To BLM Critics As Call For Boycott Intensifies
Starbucks has stated that they support BLM, but an employee shared today (June 11) that workers aren't allowed to wear anything that displays their personal support of the movement.
Another day, another call for a company boycott. Businesses are finding themselves in peculiar places these days as their company policies, diversity in employment, support of the Black Lives Matter movement and many other concerns that the public has are brought to light. On Thursday (June 11), a woman who claimed to be an employee of Starbucks tweeted that the company prohibited any visible support of BLM. Employees were forbidden from wearing pins, labels, or clothing that showed they were supporters of the movement.

A spokesperson for Starbucks reportedly doubled down on their stance, but the official Starbucks Twitter account offered a reply to the employee's original message. According to the Starbucks account, the company is now implementing new strategies to show that they do support Black Lives Matter and will have designs specifically created for its workers "in support of our Black partners."
"Hello. All U.S. CO partners will be sent a Starbucks partner shirt to lend our collective voice in support of our Black partners, customers and communities. The design will come from the Black Partner Network emphasizing our role and responsibility to not be bystanders," Starbucks tweeted. However, people still didn't know exactly what that meant, so the call to boycott the coffee company intensified as their controversial history found itself in the limelight once again. Check out a few responses below.
Staircase Karen: "Go Back To Whatever Fucking Asian Country You Belong"
Police have launched an investigation into racist threats made towards an Asian-American woman.
Yet again, another "Karen" video has gone viral, this time coming out of Torrance, California. The incident began when a young Asian woman filming her exercise routine quietly said “Jesus” after being unnecessarily bumped into by a middle-aged white woman. The white woman, now dubbed “Staircase Karen,” quickly became enraged, threatening the younger woman and going off on a racist tirade.
“Next time you talk to me like that, you're gonna get your ass kicked by my family, they're gonna fuck you up!” she exclaimed. After making this threat she then demanded her to “Go back to whatever fucking Asian country you belong,” adding “You bitch! This is not your place, this is not your home, we don't want you here!”
“Staircase Karen” then challenged the woman to post the incident on social media, saying "I hope you do because every fucking person will beat the crap out of you from here on out.” Undeterred by this threat, the video has now gone viral on twitter, with some declaring her “Karen of the Year.”
While twitter users have gotten a good laugh out of the incident, law enforcement and public officials are taking the event much more seriously. Torrance Mayor Patrick Furey launched a police investigation in the name of “public safety,” stating that this type of racist behavior will not be tolerated.
