Chicago rapper Lucki has a cult following that will ride for him regardless of what he does. However, new accusations made against his character have them reconsidering their support of the 24-year-old.
The recording artist has been accused of raping a woman while in San Diego for the Burnin' Mad Tour 2 in 2015. The woman accusing him has alleged that others have reached out to her with their own experiences about Lucki.
"Lucki raped me in 2015 and I've been quiet for the last fucking 5 years about it," she said on Twitter. "Y'all wonder why I sit on here and talk my shit and then say 'it's deeper than the music' there you go. I don't care if it's the first or last time. It's forever fuck him."
The rapper isn't taking these allegations lightly, addressing them with a lengthy statement on social media.
"Stop fuckin playin wit my name. I got a mother & a sister that I respect how they look @ me. Why the fuck r y’all bothering me," he said initially. "Stop saying my name bro. Fr y’all got me shaking. Rapper C-Rayz Walz Indicted On Rape & Sodomy Charges
C-Rayz Walz has been a prominent figure in the New York hip hop scene, but he’s reportedly been incarcerated on charges of rape and sodomy.
A New York rapper faces some serious charges. C-Rayz Walz, real name Waleed Shabazz, has reportedly been behind bars since December 2019. The Bronx emcee has been a popular figure in the underground hip hop community in New York City for quite some time, but his run-ins with the law haven’t gone unnoticed. There was a physical altercation with a police officer years ago, and most recently, reports have surfaced that C-Rayz Walz has been indicted for rape and sodomy.
According to HipHopDX, the rapper was scheduled to return to court on April 15 for the felony rape charge, but that may be delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Rebs K.P., manager to C-Rayz Walz, issued a statement about the charges. “At this current time, C-Rayz Walz can’t discuss or comment on this allegation,” Rebs K.P. said. “What I can say is that I have known C-Rayz Walz as both his manager and closest friend for six years. I have seen him devote the majority of his time to take care and provide for his son.”
She added, “Walz put his music career on the back burner in order to be the best father he could be. Walz knows what it is like to grow up without a father figure, and also what a perilous time it is to be a black man in America.”
Charles Barkley Under Fire For Response To 2003 Kobe Bryant Scandal
Charles Barkley commented on whether or not he believes the rape accusations against Kobe should be a topic of discussion.
Inside the NBA invaded Today recently when hosts Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O’Neal sat down to discuss their friend Kobe Bryant. The last two weeks have been filled with people remembering Kobe with kind words and condolences, but controversy kicks up dust whenever anyone mentions the 2003 scandal where the basketball star was accused of rape by a 19-year-old hotel employee. The case never went to trial because the woman refused to testify, but she did file a civil lawsuit that was settled privately. Bryant also had to issue a public apology where he stated he truly believed their sexual encounter was consensual, but he recognized that she didn't.
Recently, Gayle King caught international heat after a clip of her interview with Lisa Leslie went viral. King probed Leslie about her opinion on Kobe's accusations, causing many to drag her on social media. The Inside the NBA hosts were asked if they believed, as journalists, it was inappropriate for King to raise those questions so soon after his death. Kenny Smith spoke at length about Kobe's influence and how we're all "imperfect people," but it was Charles Barkley's remarks that stirred up controversy.
"Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest basketball players, ever, and he had a flaw that we all know about," Barkley said. “You have to tell the picture in totality. We’re not trying to make Kobe out to be no hero. We’re celebrating his basketball excellence. We understand what happened in Colorado. That’s fair, but two things can be true.”
People accused Barkley of betraying his friend to satisfy the media. Others wondered if Barkley would receive the same level of backlash as King. Watch the clip and check out a few reactions below.
