Candace Owens Gets Lit Up For Disrespectful Comments About George Floyd
Candace Owens got some serious backlash for her comments about George Floyd, in which she attacked his character and made claims about his alleged criminal past.
Candace Owens' recent comments about how George Floyd was "neither a martyr or a hero" did not sit well with many people, and they're making sure everyone knows why she's a clown. On Wednesday (June 3rd), Candace posted a 15-minute video explaining why she doesn't agree with the supposed narrative that's been pushed about George Floyd, the 46-year-old Black man who was recently killed by former officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis.
The Conservative commentator brought up some alleged details about Floyd that are somehow relevant, namely that he was allegedly on fentanyl when he was arrested and that he has an alleged criminal past that includes armed robbery. It appears that the point of her video was to prove that Floyd was no angel, but many Twitter users were rightfully outraged by how insensitive and unnecessary her "message" was.

Nelly & Ludacris Verzuz Battle Got Some Priceless Reactions
Nelly got clowned for his poor Internet connection and failure to play the "hits only" during his Verzuz battle with Ludacris, but he appeared to be completely unbothered.
The Nelly vs. Ludacris battle took place on Saturday (May 16th) night, and while it was certainly a night to remember, some technical difficulties and questionable song choices on Nelly's part had everyone making jokes.

Although the event was meant to begin at 7:00pm EST sharp, Nelly was having some issues with his Internet connection due to the bad weather in St. Louis, which delayed the start time. He and Luda were linked for a minute, but unfortunately, he eventually had to hop off and wait for the storm to pass. Once he returned, things kicked off, and the two rappers took the time to commend each other for their impressive achievements and impact and influence on hip hop.
Despite the positivity the two of them were putting out there, the evening was often plagued with further technical problems on Nelly's part, as his sound would often cut out and his screen would start breaking up or just go blurry. Many began comparing him to Teddy Riley, who endured similar problems during his Verzuz battle with Babyface. Additionally, some fans were confused when Nelly would retaliate Ludacris' hits with some relatively unknown or just less popular songs. However, Nelly didn't let any of this stop him from having the time of his life.
Most people agreed that Luda was the ultimate winner, but all in all, it was a great night celebrating two hip hop heavyweights. Watch the full battle below:
Will Smith & Joyner Lucas’ "Will" Remix Gets Crazy Love
Will Smith and Joyner Lucas turned it out for the new remix of "Will."
It's not every day that we get to hear Will Smith get in his rap bag. We all know that the 51-year-old actor can spit but, at this stage in his career, he's just laying low and reaping in the benefits of being a literal living legend.
The Fresh Prince was so excited to hear Joyner Lucas rap about him on "Will" from his new album ADHD that the two seemingly hooked up secretly to work on a remix. The re-mastered version of the track has officially been released and people are very satisfied with the end result.
It had been reported that Joyner Lucas and Will Smith had met up sometime last month for a meeting of the minds. During their conversation, they must have made a pit-stop in the studio because the new remix of "Will" is here and it's fire.
Fans of the actor and his rapper collaborator are instantly pleased with how this turned out.
"Will Smith’s performance on this Joyner Lucas remix is [fire]," wrote one fan. "Breath control, cadence, flow are all A1."
To be completely honest, Will Smith went harder than a number of new-generation rappers, proving that a middle-aged man can still destroy some of these young cats if it comes down to that.
Check out the new remix of Joyner Lucas' "Will," featuring Will Smith, below.

Young Thug & French Montana Beef Causes Twitter To Pick A Side
Young Thug and French Montana kicked off their heated feud last night and social media is seemingly more on Thug's side.
French Montana claimed during a recent interview that he had more hits than Kendrick Lamar and, although he did not mean to kick off anything with those remarks, he drew the ire of a certain Young Thug.
The Atlanta rapper jumped in last night in an attempt to snap French Montana back to reality, insisting that the Bronx native would have no chance against Kendrick. That started a heated battle of words between the two, which eventually got Gunna and Wheezy involved.

French Montana truly believes that he has the hits to face off against somebody like Kendrick Lamar and, while he may not be all the way offbase, the claim is still pretty blasphemous for some hip-hop fans. Upon understanding what he meant by the comment, you will realize that there is absolutely no shade being thrown. He even says that Kendrick Lamar has him beat in literally every other category. However, social media was still pretty disturbed about the Kendrick remark and the ensuing feud with Young Thug.
Already, people have crowned Young Thug the winner in this battle, with plenty of fighting words being thrown in French's direction.
Regardless of how you feel about French, you've got to hand it to him. He's definitely got some bangers. Can he hang with Kendrick or Thug though?
Toni Braxton’s "Babyface Vs. Teddy Riley" Live Tweets Are Too Good
Toni Braxton decided to live tweet her reactions to the Babyface vs. Teddy Riley battle on Saturday, and, like the rest of us, she had no idea what was going on.
Toni Braxton was on the same page as most viewers who tuned in to watch Babyface and Teddy Riley attempt to go head to head on Saturday, and her whole befuddled journey has been immortalized in a series of live tweets. After their initial Verzuz battle was postponed due to Babyface's unfortunate diagnosis with coronavirus (from which he has now recovered), the legendary producers surprised fans by announcing that they'd finally be going up against one another on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, a myriad of issues caused the live streamed event to turn into an even greater disappointment than the prior cancellation. Teddy Riley showed up with a full entourage complete with a live band, camera crew, and a backup dancer. To top it all off, his sound was absolutely terrible, which ultimately led to the battle having to be postponed yet again. Practically everyone was appalled at how drastically this battle went up in smoke, and that even included Babyface's work wife, Toni Braxton.

When the night began, Toni was stoked to observe what should have been history going down between her "musical husband" and Mr. Riley, retweeting Babyface's announcement of the battle and adding, "Oh wow this is gonna be lit."
However, once the festivities began, Toni's expectations, along with the rest of ours, were quickly let down, as Teddy's sound issues created an echo that put a huge damper on the whole affair.
Within 45 minutes, Toni had declared the whole thing "cringe," and criticized Teddy's lack of social distancing.
She was floored when Teddy requested that they start the battle over so far into the evening, and proceeded to mock both men for being less than tech-savvy.
Once the sound cut out entirely, Toni was beyond done with this battle.
However, she made sure to clarify that she had nothing but love for Teddy, and that it was all in good fun.
Still, she had to admit that things could have gone better, and she couldn't resist taking one last lighthearted jab at Teddy's shortcomings.
Westside Gunn’s "Pray For Paris" Draws Heavy Fan Praise
Westside Gunn's "Pray For Paris" has been celebrated on social media as a hip-hop triumph -- check out some of the reactions right here.
Last night marked the release of Westside Gunn's brand new solo album Pray For Paris, the culmination of a long-paved road lined with countless projects. Taking pride in his creative vision above all else, Gunn's desire to create transcendental art has imbued his work, and that of his fellow Griselda rappers, with an unwavering sense of confidence.

Determined to intercross the disparate realms of grimy boom-bap and haute couture, West brought out the big guns on his most ambitious release thus far. Cameos ranged from cover designer Virgil Abloh, to Tyler The Creator, Alchemist, DJ Premier and Jay Versace behind the boards. Guest verses from Freddie Gibbs, Wale, Tyler, Benny The Butcher, Conway, and Joey Bada$$ served to entrench the album as a celebration of the culture, one delivered with not only integrity but elite tier skill.
It's no wonder that, despite being only mere hours old, Pray For Paris has already been earning heavy acclaim from rappers, producers, and fans alike. We took to social media to round up some of the notable reactions and memes surrounding the release of Pray For Paris, a hashtag that admittedly caused alarm to briefly flare up -- given the connotations. In any case, the buzz surrounding Westside's latest continues to build, and will likely do so until he inevitably comes through with the next Griselda effort. After all, these albums are all but chapters in his long-running story.
Playboi Carti Fans React To New Song "@ MEH"
Is Playboi Carti's new song just "MEH" or is it "VERY HOTTTTT?"
On our website, we have a ranking system that has remained consistent for years. A song/mixtape can be rated from "VERY HOTTTTT" TO "MAKE IT STOP." As of right now, the brand new song from Playboi Carti has a user rating of "MEH" which somehow seems right, considering the song is titled "@ MEH."
Returning from out of nowhere, Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti released his new video for the single "@ MEH." This moment has been a long time coming for the 23-year-old, who has been teasing his upcoming album Whole Lotta Red for the last year.
While it's still very early to tell if the song will stick with us for a matter of hours/days/weeks/months or even years, there is a case to be made for the defense of "@ MEH." However, the people critiquing the record have a point as well.
Fans seem to be drawn right down the middle on the high-energy track. On Twitter, the memes have begun flying, imagining how Carti fans are taking in his baby-voiced masterpiece while, on other boards, people are shitting all over the new release.
