Over the past few days, we haven't gotten very much good news in the world of sports. Pretty well everything has been cancelled and fans are having to resort to watching old games. Needless to say, it's a sad state of affairs and people are starting to get fed up of it all. Combat sports have been trying to continue on but for now, it looks like everything has been delayed. Regardless, it hasn't stopped some boxing promoters from trying to negotiate new fights.
According to Lance Pugmire of The Athletic, it has been announced that Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin have agreed to a trilogy match to take place in September of 2020, should everything go smoothly. This is huge news especially when you consider how great the first two fights were.
For those who don't remember, the first match ended in a draw while the second bout was a majority decision win for Alvarez. Alvarez remains one of the elite pound for pound fighters in the world while Golovkin still has plenty of fight left in him. When these two duke it out, it will certainly be a great spectacle for boxing fans.

Just six days after losing to Fury in dramatic fashion, Wilder has exercised his rematch clause. Top Rank president Todd duBoef confirmed the news to Yahoo Sports.
No date has been set, bu duBoef says it will take place during the summer.
Wilder’s trainer Mark Breland, who threw in the towel during the seventh round of last weekend’s match, will remain on the fighter’s team.”I understand that my corner and my team has my best interest at heart. Mark Breland is still a part of team Wilder and our team looks forward to preparing for the rematch,” Wilder said in a statement.
Wilder believes that his entrance costume played a major factor in his loss.
“I paid a severe price because my legs were how they were because of my uniform,” Wilder told ESPN, according to Complex. “My uniform was way too heavy. It was 40-plus pounds. We had it on 10 or 15 minutes before we even walked out and then put the helmet on. That was extra weight, then the ring walk, then going up the stairs. It was like a real workout for my legs. When I took it off, I knew immediately that the game had changed.”
Deontay Wilder Already Working On Costume For Tyson Fury Rematch
Deontay Wilder is already back at work for his supposed rematch against WBC Champion Tyson Fury.
Deontay Wilder experienced a crushing defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury last weekend. Wilder was looking to defend his WBC championship although he got TKO’d in just seven rounds. It was a devastating fight that left Wilder bleeding from his ear. After the match, Wilder had fans scratching their heads as he tried to blame his pre-fight costume on his performance.
“I knew I didn’t have the legs because of my uniform. I was only able to put it on [for the first time] the night before, but I didn’t think it was going to be that heavy,” Wilder said. “It weighed 40, 40-some pounds with the helmet and all the batteries. I wanted my tribute to be great for Black History Month. I wanted it to be good and I guess I put that before anything.”

According to TMZ, Wilder is already working on his next costume which will be worn during his rematch with Fury. In fact, Wilder has decided not to fire the company he was working with previously. Instead, designers Cosmo Lombino and Donato Crowley have already been commissioned to make a brand new suit that won’t be so heavy. Clearly, Wilder wants to make a good impression but doesn’t want to sacrifice his abilities in the ring.
After that last fight, it’s going to take a lot more than a flashy costume to defeat Fury in a rematch.

Fury forced two knockdowns before Wilder's corner threw in the towel during the seventh round. It's was one of the most anticipated fights in recent boxing memory with ESPN even claiming it "was viewed by many as the biggest heavyweight world title bout since Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson."
There was plenty to react to during the fight. The first knockdown came during the third round after a right hand from Fury. Fury himself even reacted afterward saying, "I hit him with a clean right that dropped him, and he got back up," Fury said. "He is a warrior."
The second knockdown came later in the fifth round after a body shot with the left.
Perhaps the moment that generated the most buzz on social media was when Fury appeared to lick Wilder's blood off of his shoulder during the sixth round. Many were quick to call out how gross the move was by Fury.
For the win, Fury retained the Lineal Heavyweight Championship and took Wilder's WBC Heavyweight Championship belt.
Deontay Wilder & Tyson Fury Get Heated Ahead Of Rematch: Watch
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are about to give us a classic.
Over a year ago, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury stepped into the ring for what was eventually deemed a draw. Many felt as though Fury had the better fight but he was ultimately helped by a slow 10-count after being dropped by the heavy fist of Wilder. Since that match, both Fury and Wilder have gone undefeated and this Saturday, they will be fighting for the WBC Heavyweight Title. Whoever wins is expected to go on and fight Anthony Joshua to unite the Heavyweight division.
Yesterday, Wilder and Fury participated in the customary pre-fight press conference where they each had a nice little faceoff. As you can imagine, both fighters began bickering at one another before Wilder gave Fury a huge shove. Following this little face-to-face, both fighters began dissing each other. Wilder says he is the one that brought Fury into the mainstream and that he should be grateful. Fury echoed the same sentiments except he flipped it on Wilder, who couldn’t help but laugh.
These two clearly despise each other and this energy is about to make for a great fight. If you’re a boxing fan, Saturday night is about to be a must-watch. With this in mind, let us know in the comments below who you think is going to win, and why.
Khabib’s Manager Calls McGregor A "Scumbag," Says Rematch Unlikely
Will there be a rematch between McGregor and Khabib?
Despite Conor McGregor‘s hopes, a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov seems unlikely, according to ESPN.

Ali Abdelaziz, Khabib’s manager, told ESPN during UFC 247 that the fighter has no interest in a rematch with McGregor: “The only chance this fight could happen is in the street,” Abdelaziz said Saturday at UFC 247 at Toyota Center. “[McGregor would] have to do something spectacular. He’s shit, you understand?
“Conor McGregor is one of the biggest stars because he’s one of the biggest scumbags.”
During the build-up and follow-up to UFC 229, McGregor attacked Khabib’s Islamic faith, his culture, and his family. McGregor was also arrested for throwing a dolly at Khabib through a bus window in April 2018.
“Let’s be real,” Abdelaziz said. “We don’t like this guy. We’re never gonna like him. Probably every time we see him, there’s gonna be problems. He said things about family, things about religion, things about race. He crossed the line. … You can’t cross the line with [Nurmagomedov].”
McGregor is fresh off a victory against Donald Cerrone, where he won with a 40-second TKO.
Dana White and the UFC hope Khabib will be up for a rematch with McGregor following UFC 249, where Khabib will fight Tony Ferguson. White describes the potential fight to ESPN as a “legendary mega-fight,” which he compares to Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.
Floyd Mayweather Teases "Mayweather-McGregor 2" In 2020 After UFC 246
Mayweather wants another match with McGregor.
After UFC 246 and Conor McGregor‘s victory over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Floyd Mayweather made it clear he’s looking for another match against McGregor in 2020, as reported by Complex.
In a captionless post on Instagram, Mayweather uploaded a photoshopped promotional flyer that alludes to “Mayweather-McGregor 2” happening in 2020.
Earlier this month, McGregor told ESPN that he doesn’t expect Mayweather to crossover to an MMA fight: “He’s not going to do a mixed martial arts bout like he said. It was supposed to be me boxing then we do a mixed martial arts bout. That’s what was said and it came out of his mouth as well. It was not written, but it was a verbal agreement. Obviously that’s not going to happen, and I’m not going to push him on that, either.”
On the contrary, Dana White says he plans on involving Mayweather in the MMA’s plans this year: “Listen, we’re doing something with Floyd. We’re doing something with Floyd,” White said on Saturday prior to McGregor’s fight. “And, umm, you know … I don’t know. It’s like, tonight’s the night of the fight, you got the Khabib fight coming, and there’s just so much going on … Floyd is in our plans, and we are in Floyd’s plans this year, and we’ll end up doing something.”
Tyson Fury Reveals His Bizarre & Sexual Training Regimen
Fury wants his testosterone levels up.
Tyson Fury has been one of the most peculiar characters in the boxing world over these past few years. He is constantly running his mouth and revealing just a bit too much information about himself. In the lead up to his rematch with Deontay Wilder, Fury has been particularly chatty and is constantly looking for ways to build intrigue. This time around, Fury is giving us a deep dive into his training regimen and what he's been doing to make sure he's ready for the fight.
According to boxing journalist Manouk Akopyan, Fury revealed that he masturbates seven times a day and will be doing that until his fight on February 22nd. For Fury, masturbation allows him to pump up his testosterone levels which will give him more power come fight night.
"I'm masturbating 7 times a day to keep my testosterone pumping. Pump it, pump it, pump it, pump it up! Dontcha know! I gotta to keep active & the testosterone flowing for the fight. Don't want the levels to go down," he said. Fury's latest admission is certainly a bizarre one and we're sure he'll be revealing a lot more as the day of the fight approaches.
Let us know in the comments what you think of this training strategy and whether or not it will work.
