New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says the Christopher Columbus statue in New York City should not be taken down, as it is a symbol of Italian American appreciation.

Cuomo was asked about the statue, which is located at Columbus Circle, during a press conference, Thursday. A reporter asked Cuomo is if was "time for" the statue "to go."
"I understand the dialogue that has been going on for a number of years. The Christopher Columbus statue, in some ways, represents the Italian American legacy in this country. I understand the feelings about Christopher Columbus and some of his acts, which nobody would support," said Cuomo. "But the statue has come to represent and signify appreciation for the Italian American contribution to New York. For that reason, I support it."
Cuomo is of Italian descent.
Statues of historical figures with racist ideology across the globe have been taken down or vandalized by protesters in recent weeks. In Richmond, V.A., protesters threw a Columbus statue into the lake in the city’s Byrd Park. In Boston, a similar statue was decapitated.
Similarly, the upcoming Columbus Day holiday has been renamed Indigenous People’s Day in several states, in response to the brutality of Columbus' actions.

YFN Lucci Gets Clowned For Real Teeth After Removing Diamond Grill
YFN Lucci had his permanent diamond grill removed at the dentist, but his real teeth are shaved down so much that he got brutally roasted online.
YFN Lucci may be regretting getting his permanent diamond grill removed right about now, after the Internet made fun of him to no end for his new smile. On Saturday, the rapper paid a visit to the dentist's office, where he decided to undergo the process of having his permanent diamond fronts taken off. He documented the dentist removing his mouth jewelry and posted several videos on his Instagram story to show his followers the changes he was making to his smile.
After leaving the dentist's office, Lucci posted a photo on his story of his new smile. It appears as though his teeth had to be shaved down significantly in order to secure the diamond grills into his mouth in the first place, but now that he's had them removed, he's left with tiny, spaced out teeth.
He was subsequently roasted for his new smile, with folks comparing him to everything from a dog to a baby shark, to a famous children's book character.
According to his latest IG stories, though, Lucci has already had a new grill and veneers put back in, so this was all only temporary.
Smokepurpp Reveals Why Kanye West Collab Was Removed From His Album
Turns out “No Problem” was indeed a problem for Kanye.
Smokepurpp revealed last month that he was one of the masterminds behind Kanye West and Lil Pump’s controversial 2018 track, “I Love It,” but that wasn’t the only musical collaboration that sprouted between him and Ye. In the same No Jumper interview, Purpp told Adam22 that he and Ye had worked on another song together, called “No Problem,” but that it would unfortunately not be included on his then-upcoming album, Deadstar 2, and likely would never be released at all. However, last week, a snippet of the song leaked, and it became clear why Kanye would not have been pleased if Purpp had decided to put the song on his album.
Though it has since been taken off Soundcloud, the song included plenty of curse words. Though this wouldn’t normally be an issue for most artists, Kanye has since denounced the use of such language in any of his music, preaching for cleaner and more censored lyrics. “He didn’t personally tell me that, I just kind of knew,” Smokepurpp said about Kanye’s new outlook on music. “He kind of just changed his ways or whatever. Mike Dean mixed the whole album, he executive produced the whole album. So he pretty much just told me he’s not really cursing and shit. He really doesn’t even perform his old songs anymore, he does ‘Jesus Walks.’ If he does do his old songs, he changes the lyrics.” Purpp was warned that it would be a challenge to get Kanye’s permission to include the song with his verse, so he made the decision to just exclude the track altogether. “Mike Dean told me at first…it was going to be harder to get it cleared because he doesn’t curse no more,” he revealed. “I was just like f*ck it, just put it away. He’ll change again.” Fair enough.
Several Popular Films Were Removed From Disney+ Including "Home Alone"
A number of films are disappearing from Disney+.
Home Alone, The Sandlot and a handful of other popular films on Disney+ have been removed from the service, leaving fans angry and confused.
The main reason for the confusion comes in response to a statement made to Comicbook.com in November 2019. A Disney Plus spokesperson said, “there will not be a ‘rotating slate’ of licensed movies each month […] With Disney Plus, beloved classics from the Disney vault will now stream in a permanent home, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King — the entire 13-film Signature Collection — all available on day one.” Hence the confusion.
A spokesperson for Disney+ confirmed to Gizmodo that a select number of titles did leave the service, but because of legal issues relating to legacy deals, not a rotating slate of content. The spokesperson also stated that the titles would return shortly as soon as the licenses expire. For now, the films will have to be rented elsewhere.
The full list of films removed from Disney+ is below.
