Roddy Ricch and DaBaby have been proven to be this generation's most trusted hitmakers, at least in the past few months. Well, for DaBaby, it's been the past year yet he's never earned a chart-topper. Today, Billboard reports that his new collaboration with Roddy Ricch, the fan-favorite "ROCKSTAR," is now the new number one song in the country. The song is off of Baby's latest project, Blame It On Baby and has gained a significant amount of traction in the past few weeks.
For Baby, it's his first number-one single but Roddy Ricch clocks in his second number-one single this year. "The Box" is having an insane run on the charts, as it held the top spot for several weeks, similar to Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road." Roddy still claims two spots in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 as "The Box" holds it down at number 9.
Another major move on the charts in SAINt JHN's "Roses" which has been picking up steam over the past few months, thanks to TikTok. Now, the song is rose to number 10 on the Hot 100 following the release of the remix featuring Future. Perhaps SAINt JHN is also on his way to clocking the first number-one single of his career.
Check out the chart breakdown below.
DaBaby’s Highest-Charting Song Is No Longer "Suge"
DaBaby gets an assist from Roddy Ricch as "ROCKSTAR" becomes his highest-charting single to date.
DaBaby's new album Blame It On Baby may not have been a hit with the fans but one song from it has officially become the rapper's highest-charting single ever.
Until the new tally was announced this morning, DaBaby's biggest song ever was "Suge." Despite it being the track that broke Baby into superstardom, it only reached #7 as its peak on the Billboard Hot 100.
For the last few weeks, "ROCKSTAR" with Roddy Ricch has been rising the ranks and today, it officially peaked at #4, making it DaBaby's highest-charting single to date.
This week's Billboard Hot 100 is looking much different from last week's seeing both top contenders -- Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande's "Stuck With U" and Tekashi 6ix9ine's "GOOBA" -- being bounced out of the Top 10. Their plummets made way for DaBaby and Roddy Ricch to hit a new high, joining Ricch's other single "The Box" for the Compton rapper's second appearance in the Top 10.
Congratulations are in order for DaBaby. Already, the star has announced that he will not slow down on album releases, preparing his next drop before the end of the year.
What do you think of "ROCKSTAR?" Is it one of the best songs that DaBaby has released or can he do better?
DaBaby & Roddy Ricch’s "Rockstar" Goes Gold
DaBaby and Roddy Ricch have added another plaque to their respective collections thanks to “Rockstar.”
Despite some grumblings that haters can’t help but voicing, it seems as if DaBaby‘s rise is going quite nicely. Following the release of his brand new album Blame It On Baby a few weeks back, it would appear that one of the tracks has already emerged as a clear fan-favorite. “Rockstar” with Roddy Ricch continues to rack up streaming numbers, and as of right now it has become the first track on the album to earn a certified RIAA plaque.

Given that both rappers are among the most successful mainstream newcomers in hip-hop right now, it’s no wonder that together they’d make for a sales juggernaut. At this point, platinum feels like an inevitability, especially if they’re able to somehow connect for a proper video. Given that both parties are likely hunkered down for quarantine, it’s not exactly likely — either way, we’re about to find out how much staying power the Blame It On Baby duet has.
A gambler might be inclined to say, at the very least, a reasonable amount. DaBaby alone has already amassed eight additional plaques to his name, three platinum and five gold. True, only one of the three is for a solo release, but it remains a testament to DaBaby’s star power all the same. You be the judge, does “Rockstar” have what it takes to carry momentum into the summer months?
Parents Let Child Drive Car To Stop Him From Playing "Grand Theft Auto"
That's one way to parent.
Imagine being this cool of a parent. Grand Theft Auto V has been entertaining kids and adults alike around the world for seven years now. Rockstar has created a game that has brought in millions for them for almost a decade, and it hasn't lost its value. Parents have been rallying against the game the entire time, wary of the sex and violence depicted in the game. The more people criticize the game though, the better it does. Some parents have tried to regulate their children's gaming, to no avail. Others have tried to ban the game, but that hasn't worked either. Now, one set of parents think they've found a solution.
As reported by Complex, this weekend Lancashire Road Police in England pulled over an 11-year-old boy. The cops realized that he was too young to be behind the wheel but found the situation puzzling. The parents of the child told authorities that they were frustrated with him playing Grand Theft Auto V all day, so they "brought him out to practice driving on a car park." Lancashire Road Police used some GTA humor by posting the story with the caption "BUSTED" in the video game's font online.

With “Psycho” hitting a billion streams, Post Malone becomes the second artist in history to have five songs over the billion mark.
Post Malone just made some serious history, becoming one of two total artists to have five songs reach the one billion streams mark. With the Ty Dolla $ign-featured “Psycho” officially reaching the billion milestone on Spotify this week, the Texas-raised Malone joins Justin Bieber as the only two artists to achieve such a feat.

After starting out as a SoundCloud success with his hit single “White Iverson,” nobody could have predicted the impact that Post Malone had on the music business, becoming a certified hitmaker in such a short time. Now, whatever the artist lends his name to has a good chance of debuting within the Top Ten on the Billboard Hot 100, racking up millions of streams on the same day. While he will surely see a handful of other songs reach the billion mark in his career, “Psycho” joins “Congratulations,” “Rockstar,” “Better Now,” and “Sunflower,” as his only existing records over the threshold.
According to Forbes, Post Malone’s most-consumed song is currently “Rockstar,” which features 21 Savage. The song remains one of the most popular songs daily on Spotify, nearing the two-billion stream point at the time of this publication. Do you think Posty has more gas left in the tank? Will he end up creating more history, surpassing Justin Bieber on this list?
