Rudy Gobert has been the subject of a lot of jokes over the last little while due to his role in the NBA being shut down. Of course, he was the first NBA player to be diagnosed with the Coronavirus and it all started after he was caught on camera, not taking the virus seriously. Ever since his diagnosis, there have been rumors of a fractured Utah Jazz locker room and many fans are upset with Gobert for his recklessness. Needless to say, the last two months have been very difficult for the star.
Recently, Gobert was live streaming video games on Twitch when he started to get agitated by some trolls who told him that he was the reason for the Coronavirus. Eventually, Gobert snapped and clapped back at the kid, saying "go to school pussy."
What makes Gobert's comments face-palm worthy is the fact that you can't go to school right now because you could end up getting the virus. Needless to say, Gobert hasn't exactly learned much from his recent experiences. Although, one could make the argument that there simply wasn't much thought behind his statement.
Moving forward, it doesn't appear as though Gobert will ever be able to live his transgressions down.
Mike Conley Breaks Silence On Rudy Gobert-Donovan Mitchell Drama
Mike Conley recently weighed in on the rumors surrounding Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell's relationship.
Rudy Gobert's positive Coronavirus test set the NBA in a frenzy. The same night he was diagnosed with the virus, the NBA decided to shut down all operations. In fact, every single sports league in North America was forced to shut down as well. Gobert's teammate Donovan Mitchell was also diagnosed with the virus, just a day after the former defensive player of the year. In the days leading up to their positive test results, Gobert was reckless and didn't take the virus seriously. With this in mind, it was quickly reported that Mitchell was angry with Gobert and that their relationship couldn't be fixed.
Now, veteran Jazz point guard Mike Conley is speaking out about the rumored feud between Gobert and Mitchell. As he says, it doesn't seem like they are on bad terms but even if they were, they would be able to handle it and overcome it like men.
“Between Donovan and Rudy, if they feel a certain way about each other, which I honestly don’t think that’s the case at all, they’re grown men and they handle it,” Conley said. “They go out there, compete and try to win. You’d never notice on our end.”
Gobert recently told Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report that he is on good terms with Mitchell and that there is nothing to worry about. Only time will tell whether or not this is the case. Perhaps their chemistry on the court will tell us all we need to know.

Gobert, who was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19, was criticized for downplaying the virus and putting his teammates at risk. Soon after, Mitchell tested positive and the two players have reportedly been at odds since.
“It’s true that we didn’t speak for a while, but we spoke a couple days ago,” Gobert said. “We’re ready to win a championship. Relationships are never perfect,” Gobert said on Instagram live, Sunday. “But at the end of the day, we both want to win. We’re grown men, and we want to win.”
“There’s no fight,” Gobert added. “It’s all about thousands of people are dying every day, and it’s all about what we can do to help, what we can do to bring some positive. That’s what my focus is on now.”
Mitchell spoke about the situation in March on ABC’s Good Morning America: “To be honest with you, it took a while for me to kind of cool off and I read what he said and heard what he said,” Mitchell said. “I’m glad he’s doing okay, I’m glad I’m well. I’m just really happy, to be honest, Robin, that it wasn’t the whole [team].”

Rudy Gobert Has Reportedly Ghosted The Jazz
Rudy Gobert has ceased communication with the Jazz following his Coronavirus diagnosis.
Rudy Gobert became a punchline the night of March 11th when it was revealed that he had tested positive for Coronavirus and singlehandedly led to the entire shut down of the NBA. Gobert had been reckless about the disease prior to his positive test and it led people to use him as a sort of scapegoat. In fact, there are reports circulating that teammate Donovan Mitchell is incredibly upset with Gobert and that they won't be able to salvage their relationship.
It appears as though things are actually worse than that. The Athletic is also reporting that Gobert has completely stopped talking to the Jazz as an organization. With this in mind, it's clear things could be over for the two sides when play eventually starts back up again.
“Not only is Rudy [Gobert] non-communicative with Donovan Mitchell, he’s largely not communicating with the Jazz right now, either," reporter Tony Jones said.
Gobert's reported position shouldn't be shocking. Many left Gobert out to dry over this whole thing and he quickly became the face of what not to do during a pandemic. He has been treated as a dunce for weeks now and the Jazz haven't tried to defend him at all. Not to mention, there isn't even confirmation that he gave Mitchell the virus in the first place.
Over the coming weeks, this situation is bound to get more interesting.
Donovan Mitchell & Rudy Gobert Reportedly On Unsalvageable Terms
Donovan Mitchell & Rudy Gobert have been shaky ground ever since they were both diagnosed with Coronavirus.
Rudy Gobert went from being one of the best defensive players in the NBA to the biggest laughing stock, in a matter of days. It all started when he decided to not take the Coronavirus seriously and touched a bunch of microphones during a press conference. Just a couple of days later, he tested positive for the virus. The next day, Donovan Mitchell tested positive as well. Gobert’s diagnosis led to the immediate shut down of the NBA and sports leagues around the world. Simply put, he was the man who started it all.
Ever since Mitchell’s diagnosis, there have been rumors that he is extremely upset with Gobert and that the two have a bad relationship. It is unclear who had the virus first but Mitchell feels like Gobert was too reckless. According to The Athletic, things are so bad that a source in the Jazz organization is calling their relationship unsalvageable.
This is horrible news for Jazz fans when you consider how the team was doing quite well before this whole scandal. The Jazz could have been a darkhorse team in the Western Conference but if their chemistry is ruined, perhaps we could see Gobert traded away from the team.
Stay tuned for updates on this story as we will be sure to bring them to you.

Rudy Gobert & Donovan Mitchell Receive Coronavirus Health Update
Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were two of the first NBA players to contract the Coronavirus.
Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell's relationship will never be the same. During the initial stages of the Coronavirus pandemic, Gobert was quite reckless about his behavior as he thought the whole thing wasn't that big of a deal. Of course, things changed for the worse when he was diagnosed with the virus. From there, Mitchell was infected as well which led to speculation that there could be some problems in the locker room. Since their diagnosis, both players have been relaxing at home where they have been told to self-isolate.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, both players got some great news as they have now been cleared of the virus. This means it is no longer in their system and they aren't contagious. There is also a solid chance that they will be immune from future infections although this is a theory that has yet to be 100 percent proven.
The NBA is on a complete lockdown due to the virus and in many ways, Gobert was patient zero in all of this. As soon as he was infected, the league had to shut down immediately. However, even if Gobert was never infected, the league probably would have had to shut down anyway.
Hopefully, more players with the virus will continue to get better and in a few months, we can restart the NBA season.
Rudy Gobert Reveals Unforeseen Symptoms Of Coronavirus
Rudy Gobert was the first NBA player to be diagnosed with the Coronavirus and now he's reporting some interesting symptoms.
Rudy Gobert has been the subject of a ton of scrutiny and criticism over the past couple of weeks due to his Coronavirus diagnosis. Most people would have had sympathy for him but because he was reckless prior to his positive test, people began to make fun of him. Obviously, Gobert feels awful about what happened especially since he ended up giving the virus to his teammate, Donovan Mitchell. Now, Gobert is on the mend although he has been feeling some unforeseen side effects of the virus.
In the tweet below, Gobert admits that he has completely lost his sense of taste and smell. Most COVID-19 patients suffer from a fever, stuffy nose, dry cough, and problems breathing. For Gobert, these symptoms seem somewhat unique although others have reported the same loss of smell and taste.
There is still a lot we don't know about the Coronavirus and as the weeks go on, more information will certainly be made available. It's a scary time we are living in but if we all do our part and practice social distancing, this will all go away sooner rather than later.
As for the NBA, it could be shut down all the way until mid-June or early July. This is a reality we are just going to have to live with for the time being.
Emmanuel Mudiay Breaks Silence On Rudy Gobert COVID-19 Debacle
Emmanuel Mudiay is one of the Jazz players who got to see Rudy Gobert’s antics play out.
Last week, Rudy Gobert was diagnosed with the Coronavirus after numerous antics in which he didn’t take the disease seriously. Just a few hours later, Donovan Mitchell was diagnosed with COVID-19 as well. It served as a stark reminder that this whole thing must be taken seriously or else we could all end up very sick. Jazz player Emmanuel Mudiay was sick at the same time as Gobert except he didn’t have the virus. Regardless, Mudiay recently spoke to OkayAfrica about the pandemic and even made sure to defend his teammate.
“Rudy is a great guy,” Mudiay said. “He was just trying to be funny and joke around. He didn’t know he had it at the time. Now he knows that it was something serious.”

Mudiay’s comments are in stark contrast to the reports that numerous Jazz players are upset with Gobert after his recklessness. There has been reported frustration that could end up lasting well into the NBA’s comeback which could take place in mid-June. With this in mind, the Jazz will have an interesting return to action.
Stay tuned for updates regarding the NBA’s actions surrounding the Coronavirus. There is still a lot we don’t know and there very well could be a cancellation of the entire season if this trend continues.
Donovan Mitchell Admits He Had Resentment Towards Rudy Gobert
Donovan Mitchell contracted COVID-19 due to the recklessness of his teammate, Rudy Gobert.
Donovan Mitchell found himself in a bit of a predicament last week after it was revealed that he was diagnosed with the Coronavirus. This happened only a few hours after his teammate, Rudy Gobert was given the same diagnosis. What made this case special is the fact that Gobert was acting very recklessly prior to testing positive. In fact, it's been reported that many Jazz players are upset with Gobert and that he could be a real problem in the locker room, moving forward.
Today, Mitchell was on Good Morning America where he spoke about his diagnosis and how it was pretty scary at first, despite not having any symptoms. At one point, Mitchell was asked about Gobert and while he tried to dodge it, he gave a diplomatic answer.
“It took a while for me to kind of cool off and I read what he said and I heard what he said, so I’m glad he’s doing okay,” Mitchell said. “At the end of the day neither him or I have children at home. I know I have teammates that have children, staff that have children at home, so I’m glad that we were able to kind of contain it as much as possible.”
It will be interesting to see how this plays out among Jazz players moving forward as this is no laughing matter. In a way, Gobert was responsible for the entire shutdown of sports throughout the world.
Rudy Gobert Gives Video Update On His Health; Urges People To “Stay Safe”
"I wish I would have took this thing more seriously, and I hope everyone else is gonna do so,” - Rudy Gobert said Sunday.
Rudy Gobert, the first NBA player who tested positive for COVID-19, decided to record a video Sunday afternoon urging people to take the appropriate precautions to limit the coronavirus from spreading during the pandemic.
"It's all about protecting yourself and the people around you," Gobert said in the video, which the NBA released on their twitter. "I wish I would have took this thing more seriously, and I hope everyone else is gonna do so, because we can do it together. Take care and stay safe.”
Gobert was the first of three NBA players to test positive for coronavirus, prompting the suspension of the league's season. The others were Jazz co-star Donovan Mitchell and Detroit Pistons center Christian Wood, who matched up against Gobert in Utah's March 7th road win.
Gobert issued an apology Friday on Instagram for his "careless" actions that endangered people before he was aware that he was infected with the virus. He jokingly mocked the NBA's temporary media restrictions by intentionally touching all the microphones and recording devices in front of him after his post-shootaround availability Monday. After that, he ended up testing positive for coronavirus as a result of his negligence. See his public apology (below).
