Even though Tory Lanez spilled all the receipts, confirming that he cleared his Pretty Ricky sample and ending his feud with Spectacular, his new rival still feels a type of way over what went down.
In a new video uploaded to social media, Spectacular explains his side of the story, noting that he still feels majorly wronged by Tory Lanez and claiming to have lost over $350,000 working with the rapper.
"When I talk about stealing my record, I'm talking 'bout sampling my record," asserts Spectacular. "You put out 'Grind On Me,' not even hollering at me after we was already having conversations, and then you put out 'Yessir,' 'Your Body,' and you literally called me on the phone. You talked to me, bro! And asked me, can I get on the record for you. You told me to come to the studio in Miami. Hit Factory. I couldn't make it because I was on tour. You knew I was on tour, bro. You came to my meet and greet. And the first thing you said to me was, 'Man, you still mad at me huh? I'll just pay you back that money.' Cause you know what you did bro!"
Spectacular goes on to say that he lost $350,000 of his own money dealing with Tory Lanez. He says that the Toronto native has never made things right with him even though he agreed to clear "Yessir" for him.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Stop trying to fool the people," says Spectacular at the end.
Do you think Tory is in the wrong or is Spectacular overreacting?
Pretty Ricky’s Spectacular Comes For Tory Lanez: "Since You Got That New Hairline"
Spectacular calls cap on Tory Lanez and says that the artist sampled Pretty Ricky without his permission.
There was a lot of online banter after Tekashi 6ix9ine and Akon got acquainted in the studio this weekend, sharing a preview of their upcoming record “Locked Up Part 2.” Hip-hop fans are angry at Akon for collaborating with the formerly-incarcerated rapper. Styles P issued his response and so did Tory Lanez.
“So what y’all telling me is …. Akon gave the #LockedUpRemix / SAMPLE to someone else !?!?? And not me?!????” exclaimed Tory on Twitter.
This led another party to get involved, suggesting Tory should just “steal” the record like he allegedly did with a number of others.
“@torylanez you should just stole it like you did Grind On Me and Your Body. Why stop now ….. Just keeping it 2 Virgils,” said Spectacular of Pretty Ricky.
As expected, the shady reply garnered a response from Lanez.
“STOLE WHAT ??!? Actually I BOUGHT the rights from whoever signed u and publishes your music,” said Tory. “But I guess you weren’t apart of that conversation. Go stare in someone eyes and rub on someone thighs and leave me outta this one.”
Spectacular got the final word in, leaving a comment on the post.
“Ever since you got that new hairline, you been acting different,” he said. “Stop with the [cap]. Last time I checked, I owned my own masters. What type of bootleg business you running. You acting like Virgil but not keeping it 2 Virgils.”

The Weeknd Denies That He & Kendrick Lamar Used Illegal Sample On "Pray For Me"
The Weeknd has refuted former band Yeasayer’s claims that he and Kendrick Lamar illegally sampled their song on their “Black Panther” collab, “Pray For Me.”
The Weeknd is denying all claims put forth by former rock band, Yeasayer, that his song “Pray For Me” with Kendrick Lamar used a sample of their song, “Sunrise,” without clearance or credit. Back in February, the Brooklyn rock band, who have since split, filed a lawsuit against The Weeknd, Kendrick, and Top Dawg Entertainment for copyright infringement, alleging that “Pray For Me,” which was released on the 2018 Black Panther soundtrack, had ripped off their song, “Sunrise,” off their 2007 debut album, All Hour Cymbals. The band claimed that “Pray For Me” used the same “distinctive choral performance” as “Sunrise,” “comprised of male voices singing in their highest registers, with animated, pulsing vibrato.” This lead them to believe that the artists had illegally sampled their song with “intent to conceal the infringement.” However, the Weeknd has fired back, denying all claims and requesting that the case to be dismissed.

“Each and every allegation contained in the complaint not specifically admitted herein is denied,” official court documents read. “The sound recording of ‘Pray for Me’ does not capture any actual sounds from the sound record, ‘Sunrise.'” He is also requesting that his attorney fees be covered by the band. We’ll keep you posted on any further updates.
Jay-Z "The Blueprint 2" Nike Air Force 1 Sample Surfaces: Photos
Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 2" was released all the way back in 2002 and this Nike Air Force 1 was made to commemorate it.
Jay-Z is a legend of hip-hop and will most likely go down as the greatest to ever do it. This has been well-documented by much more qualified people than myself, although sometimes, it bears repeating. Back in 2002, Hov released the sequel to The Blueprint with the appropriate titled The Blueprint 2. As a means to commemorate the release of the album, Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella records teamed up with Nike for an Air Force 1 Low that encapsulates the project.
Thanks to Sole Collector, we now have some detailed images of one of the samples that was produced. As you can see, the entire shoe was made with a white leather upper while a Roc-A-Fella logo is found on the tongue and near the back heel. The outsole is an olive green while the insole has The Blueprint 2 branding.
While we're sure members of Roc-A-Fella and Jay-Z himself have these shoes in their stash, it's safe to say that us mere mortals will never get our hands on these. They will remain samples that we can come back to every once in a while to fawn over and think of what could have been. Regardless, these are a dope piece of history and every sneaker collector/hip-hop heads dream.
Let us know in the comments below what you would do with these if they ever came into your possession.

The Weeknd Premieres New Song "Scared To Live" On "SNL"
The Weeknd performed his new song, “Scared To Live” on “Saturday Night Live,” with composer of the “Uncut Gems” soundtrack, Oneohtrix Point Never.
The Weeknd gave Saturday Night Live viewers a taste of some new music when he performed his never-before-heard song, “Scared To Live,” alongside composer Oneohtrix Point Never. After performing his hit, “Blinding Lights,” off his highly anticipated upcoming album, After Hours, dropping March 20th, The Weeknd took the stage at Studio 8H in his signature red outfit once again to debut a new song.
“Scared To Live” falls right in line with the revamped sound of The Weeknd’s current musical era. The track actually samples the original score from the the Safdie Brothers’ critically acclaimed film, Uncut Gems, which The Weeknd himself starred in. The whole soundtrack for the film was composed by the highly talented musician Daniel Lopatin, better known by his recording alias Oneohtrix Point Never, who joined The Weeknd onstage for his performance. The Weeknd also interpolated Elton John’s “Your Song” on “Scared To Live,” which will presumably be featured on After Hours as well.
On Wednesday, The Weeknd premiered a short film for the album’s title track. After dropping the album, he’ll be hitting the road for the After Hours tour, kicking off in Vancouver on June 11th.
Lil Uzi Vert’s Travis Scott Sample Cleared For "Eternal Atake"
Travis Scott's "way back" can be heard in the "Eternal Atake" trailer and Lil Uzi Vert confirmed that the sample has been cleared.
Lil Uzi Vert dropped a trailer for his long-awaited album Eternal Atake last night and, in addition to the instrumental for "Futsal Shuffle 2020," the music from Travis Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight stand-out "way back" was also highlighted in the short film. While some fans were confused as to why the Hit-Boy produced banger was present in the video, L-U-V came through with an explanation today, revealing that he will be sampling the song on his upcoming album.
With Eternal Atake currently expected to drop on March 13, details keep on pouring out about the highly-anticipated project. The cover artwork was selected by fans yesterday and a trailer dropped, which sowed the seeds of a possible La Flame appearance on EA. Baby Pluto isn't confirming whether or not Travis Scott is actually featured on the album but he has officially confirmed that the "way back" sample we heard in the teaser was cleared by the Houston rapper himself.
"Thank you @trvisXX for clearing Way Back sample it’s about 2 be a movie," wrote the Philadelphia figure on Twitter. "I owe you."

Lil Uzi Vert Fans React To Backstreet Boys Sample On "That Way"
Lil Uzi Vert pulled a surprise drop with "That Way," and the interpolation of the Backstreet Boys' hit "I Want It That Way" has fans reeling.
Lil Uzi dropped a surprise single on us on this fine Sunday, and his use of the Backstreet Boys' 1999 hit, "I Want It That Way" on "That Way" is hitting fans the right way. While the world awaits his sophomore album, Eternal Atake, Uzi decided to increase the anticipation by releasing the next single off the impending project. Fans were totally caught off guard when the unpredictable artist released "That Way," but it's Uzi's sample of one of the biggest boybands of all time that has everyone the most hyped.

"That Way" begins with a rendition of the title lyric which serves as the song's hook on "I Want It That Way," but takes a quick departure to Uzi's signature sound. The interpolation returns on the chorus as Uzi belts out the same line over and over, and fans are living for this fire crossover.
Some even joked that the Backstreet Boys will be pissed when they hear that Uzi "stole their flow," but there's almost no way that Uzi didn't get the sample cleared. The boys have yet to respond to "That Way," but they'll likely be flattered by the homage.
Air Jordan 4 x KAWS Sample Surfaces In Familiar Colorway: Photos
The Air Jordan 4 x KAWS collab remains a favorite amongst sneakerheads everywhere.
If you’re a sneakerhead who has been paying attention to the game for a long time, then you know about the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 collab. For those who don’t know, KAWS is an infamous street artist known for his interesting characters that are placed in various situations. KAWS has collaborated with a plethora of brands and the partnership with Jordan Brand has proven to be a successful venture. It all started with a grey colorway of the Air Jordan 4 and eventually, a black model was created.
According to @zsneakerheadz, a sample recently surfaced that depicts a familiar colorway. As you can see in the Instagram post below, the shoe has a black suede upper, a glow in the dark outsole, and gold accents on the lace holders and Jumpman logo on the tongue. For veteran Air Jordan 4 aficionados, you know that this resembles the “Royalty” colorway which dropped a few years ago.
There is no word on why this particular colorway never dropped although perhaps its resemblance to the “Royalty” model is a good reason why. Don’t get us wrong, it’s a nice shoe but we’ve seen something similar before.
What are your thoughts on this sample? Let us know in the comments, below.
