While it's hard to imagine notorious tweeter Donald Trump moving to shut down Twitter, the man is nothing if not an ardent grudge-holder. Following Twitter's decision to hit Trump's complaints about mail order voting with an "unsubstantiated" warning -- essentially inviting viewers to get the actual facts on mail-order voting-- Trump took a page out of his favorite playbook and lashed out with threats of regulation and shutdown.

"Republicans feel that social media platforms totally silence conservative voices," he wrote, earlier this morning. "We will strongly regulate or close them down before we can ever allow this to happen." He proceeds to warn about the dangers of conducting a mail-order election cycle, doubling down on his concerns that such a practice would lead to an influx of cheating.

"We can’t let large scale Mail-In Ballots take root in our Country," he writes. "It would be a free for all on cheating, forgery and the theft of Ballots. Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, Social Media. Clean up your act, NOW!!!!" At this point, it's unclear as to whether Twitter, Facebook, or any social media platform will respond to Trump's warning. It is clear, however, that he did not take kindly to having his authority questioned so publically. Whether he actually intends on moving forward with his threats -- should he even possess that sort of power to begin with -- is anybody's guess. 

The fate of the Love & Hip Hop franchise remains uncertain, as the show reportedly joins the ranks of almost every other film and television production. According to a report by reality TV update account, OMFGRealityTV, all four of the VH1 series have been put on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic. The report states that no new episodes of the Hollywood, New York, Atlanta, or Miami series in the Love & Hip Hop franchises will be airing from this point forward. As shared by The Shade Room, the unofficial statement reads: “Due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic, all production on the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ franchise series has been forcibly shut down.”

“This means that ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ season 7, the remaining episodes of ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ season 10 and ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ season 9 will all be postponed until further notice,” the message continues. “This also applies to ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ season 4. It’s still uncertain when and how production will resume.”

Prior to the pandemic, the tenth season of Love & Hip Hop: New York premiered on December 16th, 2019, the most recent episode of the season airing on March 9th, 2020. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s ninth season premiered just last month on March 16th, but it looks like fans will only be getting a taste of it now that production has reportedly been shut down. Although Love & Hip Hop: Miami already wrapped up its fourth season this year, it is unknown when new episodes can be expected to air. As for Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, its seventh season was intended to air sometime this year, but of course, that remains uncertain as well. Joseline Hernandez, star of Love & Hip Hop: Miami commented on The Shade Room‘s post, saying “N they bout to pay BIG MAMA A HUGE BAG no more Mona.” The official Love & Hip Hop franchise have yet to address this report.

Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker are doing just fine according to the actor, who took to Instagram to address the rumours that his wife is cheating on him because of some remarks she made on Instagram live. Boris and Nicole have been wed for almost 15 years, so it’s safe to say that they might know a thing or two about marriage. The actor couple appeared on Chris and Vanessa Spencer’s Instagram live show, Date Night, this week to talk about their experiences and give advice to other married couples. During their chat, Nicole mentioned that she flirts with other men to boost her excitement for sex, and even confessed that she sometimes wishes she and Boris were still in the early stages of their relationship.

“Sometime in the last year or so I thought, ‘I wish that he was my boyfriend again,'” she admitted. “I don’t necessarily want to be single, but I miss the single life. I miss the text messages for no reason. I miss the coming up behind me when I’m scrambling eggs and just kissing me on the back of the neck.” Nicole’s comments immediately sparked cheating rumours, with people speculating that the two of them might be having some problems. Some viewers even thought that Boris looked visibly uncomfortable while Nicole was speaking, but he’s since come forward to shut down all of these absurd claims.

Come on y’all, really?!” Boris wrote on an Instagram post of his Bitmoji face-palming over top of a screenshot from the IG live episode. “Ok first of all, you’re chomping on a short clickbait 1min slice of a HILARIOUS HOUR LONG conversation on our best friends’ new show. Second of all this part was meant to give hope to those of us who’ve been together a LONGA$$Time #RealTalk. And third of all, my wife was right!#boyfriendgirlfriendtimematters.” He proceeded to type out a series of inspirational hashtags before telling his followers, “don’t tag me in anymore of this #BullSh@&$. I’ll be over here kissing the back of @nicoleariparker’s neck for no reason.” Looks like thing are all good over here.

R. Kelly is doing everything in his power to get out of jail. In wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, he’s continued to demand freedom on claims that the prison conditions aren’t up to par to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. Unfortunately for him, prosecutors aren’t budging on their stance and they’re actually sick and tired of his complaints, according to new docs.

The Blast reports the prosecutors in R. Kelly’s case are asking the judge to deny his most recent plea to be released on bond. As the singer remains incarcerated inside of Chicago’s MCC, he’s tried to pick at every possible flaw imaginable to get out of prison. “If released, there is a risk that the defendant will flee and that the defendant will obstruct, attempt to obstruct, threaten, intimidate or attempt to threaten or intimidate one or more prospective witnesses,” the prosecutors wrote in documents.

Even though he’s made a case that he’s susceptible to catching COVID-19 inside of the prison, prosecutors added that his recent surgery went on without a hitch. “[R. Kelly] had his post-surgery follow-up appointment and has been discharged from the doctor’s care.” They added that he has access to cleaning products and that he “may purchase additional soap from the commissary if he so chooses.”

Looks like the prosecutors aren’t budging on Kelly’s plea for his release. 

Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his girlfriend, Marissa Mowry, have been given the green light to continue their GoFundMe to help those affected by coronavirus, after the NCAA initially shut down their fundraising efforts. On Monday, Lawrence and Mowry, a soccer play at Anderson University, launched the GoFundMe page to raise money for those who have been most deeply impacted by the coronavirus pandemic by offering some sort of relief. Despite their good intentions, it was reported that they were asked to deactivate the page by a compliance official, as it violated an NCAA policy that prohibits a player from using their name, image, and likeness for crowd funding.

Despite Lawrence and Mowry's initial disappointment, the NCAA decided to make an exception. The association issued a statement the following day, announcing that they will allow student athletes to raise money to help during this difficult time. 

Lori Harvey made sure to be crystal clear about her current coronavirus activities, after trolls began assuming that she was going out on the town because of a recent video she posted on Instagram. As coronavirus continues to spread worldwide, government and health officials are urging folks to stay home and practice social distancing to protect oneself and others. The model and girlfriend (but also, possible fiancée, or even wife?) of Future took a mirror selfie video wearing a full zebra-print get-up complete with matching gloves and a handbag. The ensemble is not exactly quarantine attire, and many of Lori’s followers started to call her out in the comments for seemingly planning to leave the house and risk the health and safety of others.

However, Lori quickly took note of all the trolls giving her sh*t for her presumably careless antics, and clarified what she’s really up to at the moment. “I’m on the couch watching tv before y’all start,” she wrote in the comments with an eye-rolling emoji and a laughing emoji. So Ms. Harvey is either playing dress-up to occupy her time, or is simply enjoying a throwback clip from the pre-pandemic days. Either way, we’re glad she’s doing the responsible thing and staying home.

Stores and businesses are facing temporary shutdowns from the COVID-19 crisis that’s been plaguing the globe. Large businesses like Nike have decided to temporarily shut down their stores while your favorite local restaurant has resorted to pick-ups and deliveries only to slow down the spread of coronavirus. Drake‘s OVO store recently announced that they’d be following suit.

Sharing a message on their Instagram, liked by Drake and co., the OVO team announced that they’re taking the necessary measures to protect their customers and employees by temporarily closing up shop. “During this time of uncertainty, we are committed to taking every precautionary measure to protect the health and safety of our customers and employees,” the message read. The online store, however, will continue to be open and OVO is offering free shipping for anyone ordering off the OVO App or their website.

The announcement comes hours after fans began to speculate that their beloved 6ix God was exposed to Coronavirus. Just last week, Drake and Kevin Durant were spotted hanging out in Los Angeles but the Nets player recently announced that he tested positive for Coronavirus.

According to PageSix, Drake’s now in self-isolation, spending his time at his Toronto mansion.He likely won’t be too bored seeing as he recently shared a video from his NBA-size home basketball court with the caption, “My life for the next however long.” We can’t imagine Drake will be too bored during these times seeing as there’s a home recording studio, theatres, and more amenities that the average human can only imagine having access to in their crib. 

People are often tempted to crown a leading couple within hip hop. It’s not extremely common that two rappers form a romantic union, so when that is the case, the couple receives much praise from the community. Offset and Cardi B became lovers when their respective careers were blowing up. Their musical collaborations and all the drama their relationship entailed provided additional boosts. Furthermore, Cardi wasn’t just turning into a revered rapper, but being elevated as a public figure.

In Migos’ new cover story for Highsnobiety, Offset reveals how Cardi’s status has led to people trying to gas him up as the most prominent member of Migos. “I feel like a lot of group’s failures was about the power and the fame and not being strong-minded,” he said. “If someone tells you you’re better than the others, you’re the one, you’re bigger than everybody.’ And you carry yourself that way after being told that, you’re a weak-minded person. If you’ve been following the account before today, you would have seen some sexy shares of Summer and funny moments with her friends and her man London On Da Track. However, times have seemingly changed since Summer has taken a vow to be more wholesome when it comes to her posting habits. The new move came after she posted a risqué photo of her ass, then quickly changed her mind, deleting almost all past images she had on her feed in an effort to be more like Ayesha Curry.

#MEGXIT is one of the biggest international stories at the moment. Last week, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, formally announced their plans to take a step back from the royal family. They wish to establish some financial independence by renouncing royal titles and state funding. “We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages,” the couple wrote in an Instagram post. People across the world clutched their pearls and pointed fingers upon hearing this news, trying to figure out why the Harry & Meg would break from precedent and disrespect the Queen in this manner.   

Given this a huge trending topic and any post related to #MEGXIT can attract clicks (yes, I see the irony in this), a reporter tried to get Serena Williams to comment on it. “Your good friend, Meghan Markle, who attended your last 2 slams, and Harry, have taken a move, a stance that many people think is extraordinary and historic,” the reporter said. “What are your feelings about that? Have you spoken to her?” 

Considering this topic has no connection to Williams’ profession, she declined to share her thoughts on it during an Australian Open press conference. “Yeah, I have absolutely no comments on anything with that,” Williams replied. “But good try. You tried. You did good.” Props to Williams for avoiding that bait.
