When it comes to GOAT debates in football, it feels like the running back position is extremely disrespected. People will talk about quarterbacks, wide receivers, and sometimes even defensive players. However, running backs are that one position that seems to lose out on a lot of the love that they truly deserve. Well, today on FS1's Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe tried to change that as he gave his list of best running backs ever, and it's a pretty interesting one to say the least.
At number one, Sharpe put Barry Sanders, while Walter Payton is in second. In third place, we have Jim Brown while Emmitt Smith and Eric Dickerson take over the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. What made this list interesting is Sharpe's admission that had it not been for his alleged off the field transgressions, OJ Simpson would have cracked the top 5.
Interestingly enough, Skip Bayless actually agreed with a lot of what Sharpe was saying here which just goes to show how agreeable the list was. Either way, there are certainly some people out there who are going to want to debate this so if you have a differing opinion, go ahead and sound off in the comments below.
Kevin Durant Roasts Jalen Rose Who Claps Back With Skip Bayless Dig
Kevin Durant wanted some answers from Jalen Rose and he got them in the form of a classic troll.
Ever since Michael Jordan's "The Last Dance" began airing on ESPN, there has been some peculiar discourse surrounding the former NBA star. Pundits have been going around saying that Jordan would average close to 50 points if he played in today's era, while others have taken a more conservative, albeit, lofty approach to his stats. For instance, Jalen Rose thinks MJ could average around 40 points per game.
A fan recently asked Kevin Durant want he thinks of these remarks, implying that KD should feel disrespected by them. Durant came with an interesting retort, asking Rose how much he thinks he would average if he played in today's NBA. Instead of being offended, Rose harkened back to his early days at ESPN when he roasted Skip Bayless for his horrendous stat lines. If you're familiar with the clip I'm referencing, then you know that Water Pistol Pete averaged 1.4 points per game.
Many of Rose's fans immediately knew what he was talking about here as they spammed his Twitter comments with gifs and photos of Bayless. Needless to say, it's good to see Rose make fun of himself as opposed to taking everything KD says, seriously.
We can only imagine what other kinds of takes we are going to see as "The Last Dance" progresses.
Skip Bayless Peddles Michael Jordan Gambling Conspiracy
Skip Bayless seems to think there is more to Michael Jordan wanting to go play baseball.
After winning his third-straight championship back in 1993, Michael Jordan infamously shocked the world by announcing his departure from the game of basketball. He stated that he wanted to go play baseball which was the sport he fell in love with growing up. Of course, this didn't exactly work out for him as his stats were pretty subpar. In fact, just a year and a half later, he decided to come back and rejoined the Chicago Bulls where he won three more championships.
There have been numerous theories as to why Jordan really decided to leave basketball. Some believe his gambling problem led to an indefinite suspension from NBA commissioner David Stern and that both of them used baseball as a cover for what was really going on. While these claims have been denied over the years, many still try to push that narrative. Today on Undisputed, that's exactly what Skip Bayless did as he spoke on his experiences around the 98' Bulls.
"What I always heard in my year in Chicago around the '98 Bulls was that Jordan's break from basketball had a lot to do with gambling. Even the appearance of it got so bad that David Stern, who denied this repeatedly, encouraged Michael to step away," Bayless explained.
Bayless has been known for his hot takes in the past but as a huge MJ fan, it's far-fetched to think Bayless is trying to do harm to Jordan's legacy. It is quite possible that Bayless truly believes this was the cause for Jordan's departure although until MJ says it for sure, we will never really know.
Skip Bayless Revels In Aaron Rodgers’ Pain Following NFL Draft
Skip Bayless has been talking about Aaron Rodgers' decline for years.
Green Bay Packers fans were absolutely stunned last night when the team traded up in order to draft quarterback Jordan Love. Of course, for the last 15 years, they have been blessed with the presence of Aaron Rodgers who is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. It appears as though the Packers are already planning for the future and fans seem to think this move is very premature. In fact, they would have preferred it if the team had drafted an offensive weapon for Rodgers to throw to.
Undisputed co-host Skip Bayless has spoken at length about Rodgers' decline and on Friday, he did so once again as he reveled in the fact that the Packers now have plans to move on. As he told Shannon Sharpe, Rodgers isn't even good enough to make it in the league until 40 years old.
"Aaron Rodgers just got slapped in the face," Bayless said. "The Packers are thinking the future could be sooner rather than later." Bayless has always had some sort of grudge against Rodgers although it's probably because he has dominated his Dallas Cowboys over the years. Regardless, there is no denying that Bayless will be happy to see Rodgers out of the league in short order.
As for Packers fans, well, things are about to get interesting next season.
Skip Bayless Hates On LeBron Following "The Last Dance" Debut
Skip Bayless will never let his hate for LeBron James run dry.
Skip Bayless has hated LeBron James since the day he stepped foot on an NBA court. Bayless just so happens to be a huge Michael Jordan stan, which is a term I typically don't like to use. However, with Bayless, it truly comes across that way. With Bayless' MJ fandom in mind, it's easy to deduce why he has some beef with LeBron. Simply put, he feels like LeBron is a threat to MJ's legacy.
On Monday, Bayless made sure to take some swipes at LeBron following the airing of the first two episodes of "The Last Dance." In the docuseries, we get a glimpse into the mind of Michael Jordan as he tried to win his sixth championship. At the time, MJ was facing scrutiny from every direction, particularly from the Chicago Bulls front office. As Bayless explains, this is something LeBron never would have been able to overcome.
“If you’re talking about GOAT, you can’t even qualify LeBron for the discussion because he’s suffered so many meltdowns that Jordan never would have suffered,” Bayless said. “There’s no way Jordan would have come apart the way LeBron did in his last go-around, his first stop in Cleveland when his owner accused him of quitting, as he melted down in Games 4, 5, and 6 against the Celtics [in the Eastern Conference Semifinals) and bowed down ingloriously his first time around in Cleveland and got his jersey burned.”
Bayless' take this morning could be seen coming from a mile away so we can't say we're surprised. Regardless, it never ceases to amaze us how consistently wrong he's able to be.
Skip Bayless Goes Off On LeBron James For Highlights Idea
Skip Bayless continues to slander the good name of LeBron James every time he has the chance.
Skip Bayless is easily a top 10 hater in sports broadcasting. His biggest target is none other than LeBron James who is currently on the Los Angeles Lakers. Bayless has slandered James' name at every opportunity and it has become a frequent pattern on FS1's Undisputed. If you have ever seen that meme of Big Fendi at the funeral on Instagram, you would know that perfectly encapsulates LeBron and Skip's relationship, although it is fairly one-sided considering LeBron has never really acknowledged Skip.
Today, Bayless was particularly over the fact that LeBron wanted to do something special for his fans in the form of a breakdown of his greatest moments. We reported on LeBron's idea yesterday and at the time, it was a harmless piece of fan service. To be fair, it still is. However, Bayless decided to turn it into some malicious attempt at narcissism.
"LeBron this is beneath you...This reeks of somebody that has to keep reminding us of how great he has been, so maybe we forget the many moments he wasn't great," Bayless said.
Of course, the fans in Bayless' comments couldn't believe the point he was trying to make here. At the end of the day, LeBron is just trying to keep the fans entertained.
Perhaps if LeBron and the Lakers get back on the court this season and win the championship, it will make Skip have some decency towards one of the best players ever.
Skip Bayless Savagely Lists LeBron James’ Playoff Failures
Skip Bayless went on yet another anti-LeBron James rant much to the chagrin of Shannon Sharpe.
Skip Bayless has a hatred for LeBron James that isn't exactly justified. The only real reason why Skip could hate LeBron that much is for clout and attention. Luckily for Bayless, it works very well for him. The man has been known as a LeBron hater for years and his anti-James rants always seem to go viral on Twitter. One thing that Bayless loves to harp on is LeBron's failures in the playoffs, particularly in 2011 when he had a horrible NBA Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks.
Today on Undisputed, Bayless went on a full seven-minute rant about LeBron's failures and Shannon Sharpe wasn't having any of it. Skip decided to make a list of everything LeBron has done wrong and it was quite eye-roll inducing.
"2013: He LeBricks a 3, rebound out to Bosh, who kicks it in the corner to Ray Allen. It's one shot for LeBron's NBA Finals life. 2 years before in 2011, LeBron suffered the all-time meltdown in a Finals," Bayless said.
It's bizarre to see someone be so negative especially when we are in the midst of a pandemic. Humanity seems to be at the top of everyone's but when it comes to Bayless, LeBron seems to be living rent-free at the top of his thoughts.
Hopefully, when this pandemic is over, Skip begins to see the error of his ways.
Skip Bayless Rips Bill Belichick For Tom Brady Patriots Departure
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick didn't have the greatest relationship near the end of their tenure together.
By now, it should be common knowledge that Tom Brady has decided to move on from the New England Patriots after 20 seasons of greatness. The news has come as quite a shock to all of the Patriots fans out there who thought their reign over the league would never end. Of course, it had to die off at some point and that's exactly what has happened here. Both Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick have issued statements regarding Brady's departure and are wishing him the best as he chooses a new team.
Skip Bayless weighed in on the situation with some blistering indictments of Belichick. Many feel as though the head coach is the mastermind of the Patriots dynasty while Bayless thinks it's all because of Brady. The FS1 host took to his Twitter account where he blamed the coach for running Brady out of Boston while also predicting that Brady will do better than Belichick will, next season.
Bayless also made sure to note that he thinks Brady will end up on the Los Angeles Chargers. The quarterback will be able to decide on his fate as of tomorrow and we can't wait to see how it all plays out. With this in mind, be sure to stay tuned for the latest updates as we will make sure to bring them to you.
Skip Bayless In Shambles Over Dak Prescott Cowboys Franchise Tag
Skip Bayless is a huge Cowboys fan and the latest new surrounding Dak Prescott has him hot and bothered.
NFL free agency has already gotten off to a hot start as numerous trades have been made while new deals begin to be set in motion. Clearly, there is still a lot to work in the Dallas Cowboys camp as today, they revealed that Dak Prescott was being hit with the franchise tag. This means Prescott can only negotiate with the Cowboys. Franchise tags rarely work out for either side but regardless, Jerry Jones decided it was the move that had to be made for his team.
One of the biggest haters of this move is none other than Skip Bayless of FS1's Undisputed. The show has been put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic although that didn't stop Bayless from hopping on Twitter, in a Cowboys hat, to give his thoughts on the matter.
As he explains, this is a terrible move for the Cowboys and it just goes to show that Prescott and his agent might be in over their heads. Bayless also thinks the move will make Prescott think the Cowboys don't trust him, which will only increase tensions moving forward. The FS1 host is one of the biggest Cowboys fans on the planet and based on his demeanor in the video, he was in a shambolic state over the move.
Stay tuned for updates on Prescott's contract negotiations as we will be sure to bring them to you.
Skip Bayless & Shannon Sharpe Offer Somber Reaction To NBA Hiatus
The NBA's decision to suspend the season has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world.
Late last night, the NBA decided that all operations would be suspended due to one of its players contracting the Coronavirus. Of course, that player was Rudy Gobert who then went on to transmit the virus to Donovan Mitchell. These developments are quite shocking and have sent the sports world into a complete state of panic. Now, the NBA will wait and see what to do next as many of its players and teams enter a quarantine protocol.
This morning, numerous sports talk shoes are reacting to the news, including FS1's Undisputed which is hosted by Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. Bayless and Sharpe are known for their arguments but on today's show, they were in agreement on pretty well every single subject. The two had a somber tone as they discussed last night's events and it was apparent that they were shaken up by it all.
Bayless noted that this was one of the most shocking sporting events in recent memory and that he was quite shocked by it all. He even admitted that he never really thought the virus was a problem until Gobert was diagnosed with it. Sharpe on the other hand, agreed with the NBA's decision as it was conducive to public health.
Stay tuned for updates regarding the league's next steps as we will be sure to bring them to you.
