Across the nation, we are all fighting for the basic human rights of black people. Nobody should be afraid to do something as simple as taking a trip to the grocery store without constantly living in fear for your life, facing racial harassment, either by other citizens or by the police. On Black Out Tuesday, we are shifting the focus of our editorial content to display stories from the protests, including videos, photos, and more, that are showing the nation's response to our efforts.
In Richmond, Virginia, a video has been circulating that shows a group of police officers standing in front of a detained protestor. The man is handcuffed and kneeling on the grass. Several of the officers, including one man who does it multiple times, spits on or around the protestor as a couple of women filming in the distance yell out to tell them they're on camera.
This is obviously troubling for so many reasons. However, the fact that we are in a global pandemic where people are literally being arrested for spitting or "willingly" attempting to spread the coronavirus, yet these police officers are out here doing just that, is pretty sickening.
Watch the clip below and continue fighting back against racial injustice. We won't stop until everybody gets equal treatment.
Michael Jordan Allegedly Spat On Infamous "Flu Game" Pizza
Michael Jordan had to make sure that no one else ate his pizza.
Michael Jordan‘s infamous “Flu Game” was on full display during “The Last Dance” last night and fans were surprised to hear that it was actually a really bad case of food poisoning. Many already knew this but very few had heard about the circumstances surrounding the ordering of said pizza. In the documentary, it notes that Jordan was the only person to have eaten the pizza while everyone else in the room watched. It was also said that numerous delivery men showed up at the door which led his trainer to believe that it had been spiked.
During an appearance on ESPN’s Jalen & Jacoby, “The Last Dance” director Jason Hehir admitted that the Jordan story went a tad deeper. When pressed about Jordan eating the whole pizza, Hehir said that MJ had actually spat on the pizza to make sure no one else ate it.
Jordan did this because his teammates had eaten a few hours earlier and he wanted to order something for himself. He was fearful that some of the other guys would touch the pizza, so he spat on it as a preventative measure. Later that night, Jordan got extremely sick and he eventually went on to score 38 points in a huge NBA Finals win.
The “Flu Game” is already an incredible story but this anecdote adds another layer of insanity to it all.
Amazon Delivery Man Caught Spitting On Customer’s Package
An Amazon delivery man was caught by a home security camera spitting on a package and smearing the saliva on the box with his hand.
An Amazon delivery man may have just unknowingly committed a crime, as he was caught on a front door security camera spitting on a customer's package and smearing the saliva all over the box with his hand. As most of the world takes extra precautions to prevent spreading coronavirus, including incessant hand-washing and avoiding touching one's face or coughing without covering one's mouth, some people are just too shameless to care. In a video captured on Thursday evening at a duplex residence in L.A.'s Hancock Park neighbourhood, an Amazon delivery man is clearly shown leaning over and hucking saliva onto a package that he was in the processing of delivering, and proceeding to wipe his spit across the box with his palm. The vile man then gets up and takes a photo to confirm the delivery, as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred.
The reckless act was thankfully caught by security cameras at the residence's front door, and a neighbour and friend of the package recipient promptly contacted Amazon about the horrible incident. A customer service representative watched the footage and actually gasped in horror. They stated that the worker was from a third party delivery service and had been reported, but there's a chance he could still be sent back to work. The same neighbour also responded to the delivery inquiry on the Amazon app with a photo of the package, which clearly shows some sort of liquid smeared on it. “We have high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care," an Amazon spokesperson said. "We've notified the right teams internally and will work with the customer directly on matters related to their package delivery.”

While the act may be disgusting and inconsiderate, it's also verging on criminal during these particularly high risk times. Purposely spitting, licking, or coughing on public items or other people can be considered a low-level felony, as federal law enforcement officials have already charged individuals with making a terrorist threat for intentionally spreading coronavirus through this type of behaviour.
