Spike Lee has been one of the most notorious New York Knicks fans in the entire world over the last few years and continues to be an ambassador for the team. Despite all of their issues over the past few years, Lee has remained loyal and can be seen sitting courtside at pretty well every single game. Unfortunately, last night caused some issues for Lee as it appeared as though he was denied entry to the arena. In fact, a clip of Lee being kicked out went viral last night which led some people to believe that he may have been banned by owner James Dolan.
In the end, it turned out that it was all just one big misunderstanding. Lee eventually got to his seat and Dolan spoke to him at halftime. As it turns out, reports are circulating that Lee tried to enter through an employee entrance and that's why he was thrown out.
Dolan has a track record of banning people from his arena. Charles Oakley was infamously barred from MSG a while back which led to a legal dispute which was recently settled. The Knicks are constantly receiving a stream of bad press and this Spike Lee situation could have been a real disaster.
Luckily, Lee got to witness his team beat the Houston Rockets in an absolute thriller.
NBA Sends Players Tips On How To Combat Coronavirus
The NBA is taking every precaution to make sure its players are safe.
Coronavirus is the virus that has people worried about a potential pandemic. Over 90,000 people have the virus now and many have died due to the disease. While there is still a lot we don't know about COVID-19, there is no denying just how scary it can be. Sports leagues all over the world are taking precautions to make sure players and fans are safe. The NBA is joining this fight now and according to TMZ, they recently released a memo with a bevy of suggestions for players.
In the memo, they say that players should avoid handshakes and daps. Instead, they should fist bump as it is a lot more sanitary. This memo also states that autograph signings should include a unique pen for each player and that they shouldn't share pens, basketballs, or even jerseys. In fact, CJ McCollum of the Trail Blazers recently stated that he was done with autograph signing until further notice.
"The health and safety of our employees, teams, players and fans is paramount," the NBA's statement read. "We are coordinating with our teams and consulting with the CDC and infectious disease specialists on the coronavirus and continue to monitor the situation closely."
For now, the Coronavirus remains a threat but if the NBA keeps taking these precautions, their players will certainly feel a lot safer, moving forward.
Mike Tyson Cries & Calls Himself "Empty" Without Boxing
Mike Tyson shared his heart on his podcast as he talked about shedding his former, angry self—a person he fears but also misses.
Things got emotional on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson when Sugar Ray Leonard sat down with his fellow champion boxer to talk about life inside and outside of the ring. The series isn’t one that typically features its guests or hosts in tears, but Tyson couldn’t help himself as he spoke with one of his idols about their favorite sport.

Tyson became choked up as he spoke about being in juvenile hall at 13-years-old, watching Leonard fight and knowing he wanted to do the same thing someday. Tyson could incredibly recall details of many of Leonard’s fights and explained how he felt when he was watching those wins and losses. Then, Tyson touched on who he was as a fighter and how he struggles with repressing the person he used to be because that person was out of control, while also missing his former self because that rage is what aided in making him a phenomenal boxer.
“I know the art of fight, I know the art of war,” Tyson said. “That’s why I’m so feared. That’s why they feared me when I was in the ring ’cause I was an annihilator. I was born for [that]. Now those days are gone. I’m empty. I’m nothing. I’m working on being the art of humbleness.” As he fought through his tears, Tyson said, “That’s the reason why I’m crying, ’cause I’m not that person no more and I miss him.”
“Sometimes I feel like a b*tch,” added Tyson. “Because I don’t want that person to come out because if he comes out, hell is coming with him. And it’s not fun at all. [I’m not trying] to sound cool like I’m a tough guy… I’m scared of him.” Watch Mike Tyson’s emotional clip with Sugar Ray Leonard below.
WWE Legend Matt Hardy Announces Decision To Leave WWE
Professional wrestling legend Matt Hardy explains why he will not be returning to WWE, sparking more AEW rumors.
Professional wrestling legend Matt Hardy, one half of the iconic tag team The Hardy Boyz, is reportedly considering signing with All Elite Wrestling after allowing his WWE contract to expire. Hardy, 45, was recently written off tv following an attack at the hands of Randy Orton, which only fuelled rumors that he will soon be wrestling for the rival promotion.
Immediately after his WWE contract officially expired, Hardy posted a video on YouTube explaining why he will not be with the company moving forward.
“It’s just time for me to take a break and become a free agent,” he said. “I didn’t want to leave WWE because it is my home. The reason I needed to leave WWE is because when it comes to my creative stance and my creative outlook on myself and my career and how I wanted to go for these last three or four years that I have to spend as an active in-ring competitor, I just think myself and WWE are on different pages.”
“I want to enter a creative renaissance and I want to have non-stop input on my creative process,” Hardy said. “I think that’s where WWE and I are on different pages.”

Lil Pump Looks Microscopic Next To Luka Doncic
Lil Pump posed for pictures with Dallas Mavericks’ star Luka Doncic and the legendary Dirk Nowitzki, who absolutely tower over him.
A quick Google search will inform you that Miami rapper Lil Pump is approximately five feet and five inches tall, but when he’s standing next to basketball superstars Dirk Nowitzki and Luka Doncic, he seriously looks like an ant.
Taking in the Miami Heat home game against the Dallas Mavericks last week, Lil Pump got to watch his team celebrate a win against Luka Doncic and his teammates, but that wasn’t before he took some pictures with the team’s stars outside of their locker room. Receiving preferential treatment, Lil Pump was allowed to walk the backstage halls of the arena when he requested photos with Mavs’ legend Dirk Nowitzki and rising superstar Luka Doncic. The pictures show the rapper in his Canadian tuxedo, wearing double denim and looking seriously tiny next to the hoopers.

Standing over seven feet tall, Dirk Nowitzki towers over Lil Pump, who doesn’t even reach the man’s shoulders. Next to Luka Doncic, who stands 6 feet seven (shout to Lil Wayne), Jetski appears to be a little taller but still, the proportional difference is insane. As many commenters are pointing out, I guess this is why they call him Lil Pump.
The 19-year-old rapper has been quiet as of late, releasing “Coronao Now” with El Alfa several months ago and keeping his upcoming moves a secret.
Kendrick Perkins Makes Compelling MVP Case For LeBron James
Kendrick Perkins had a lot to say about the MVP race between LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Kendrick Perkins won an NBA title at the tail end of his career while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he didn't get very much playing time, he got to experience first hand just how good LeBron James is. Ever since getting into broadcasting, Perkins has defended LeBron at every single turn and has made sure to be complimentary of him. Today, Perkins continued his trend of bigging up LeBron as he joined Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman on ESPN's First Take.
During the segment below, Perkins makes the case that LeBron deserves to be the MVP over Giannis Antetokounmpo. As he explains, LeBron missed out on countless MVP trophies because he played in a weaker Eastern Conference. Now, voters don't keep that same energy and instead, they reward Giannis who is playing in that same weaker conference. Perkins says LeBron has much more difficult competition and that at the end of the day, he should be the MVP.
Perkins certainly makes an interesting case although he excluded the fact that LeBron currently plays with another phenomenal player in Anthony Davis. AD's presence on the Lakers certainly makes things a lot easier for James.
With that being said, there is no denying that LeBron is having himself a great season.
Lakers Reportedly Impressed By Dion Waiters’ Workout
Free agent guard Dion Waiters reportedly "had an impressive showing" during his workout with the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
Former Miami Heat shooting guard Dion Waiters is in the running to land a coveted spot on the Los Angeles Lakers roster and so far he hasn't done anything to hinder his chances. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Waiters "had an impressive showing" during his workout with the Lakers on Monday and the next step is for him to meet with head coach Frank Vogel and the Lakers brass.
The Heat signed Waiters to a four-year, $52 million extension in July of 2017 but he has appeared in a total of 74 games since then, including a grand total of three appearances this season.
The 28-year old veteran was suspended multiple times this year for a variety of reasons, including an incident where he ate too many edibles, complaining about playing time and another for "failure to adhere to team policies, violation of team rules and continued insubordination." Despite his issues with the Heat, Waiters is on the short list of players who could potentially replace Troy Daniels on the Lakers bench.

In addition to Waiters, another potential candidate to join the Lakers is LeBron James' former teammate, JR Smith. The 34-year old shooting guard is also expected to workout for the team this week - assuming they don't offer Waiters the contract outright following his impressive performance.
Smith appeared in just 11 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season before hitting the free agent market, where he has remained ever since.
Stephen A. Smith Goes Scorched Earth On Kevin Durant
Stephen A. Smith isn’t a fan of KD possibly playing in the Olympics.
Kevin Durant is currently out of the Brooklyn Nets lineup due to an Achilles injury he suffered during the NBA Finals in 2019. Durant is expected to miss the entirety of this season which means he will make his Nets debut at the beginning of the 2020-2021 campaign. Now, it is being reported that Durant might be interested in playing at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. While it would be fun to see KD back on the court, coming back from a bad injury during the Olympics could prove to be a big liability for the Nets.
Today on ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith almost lost his marbles at the idea of Durant playing for Team USA. While speaking (yelling) to Max Kellerman and Jay Williams, Smith explained that Durant could seriously injure himself and if he were an executive for the Nets, he wouldn’t want to pay KD his contract in the event of an accident.
Williams is one of KD’s closest confidants so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he was quite defensive of Durant’s position in all of this. Regardless, Smith seemed offended by KD’s interest in Team USA and acted as though he himself is paying KD’s contract. Needless to say, if we see KD in a Team USA jersey this summer, Smith will be in his bedroom shadowboxing in front of the TV.
Do you agree with Smith or was he way off base here?
Ja Morant Reacts To Rookie Of The Year Race With Dismissive Energy
Ja Morant was the clear frontrunner for rookie of the year before Zion Williamson showed up.
Ja Morant came into the NBA with a chip on his shoulder and he has easily been one of the league's most impressive players, early on. The Memphis Grizzlies star has put his team in a playoff position with just over 20 games to go in the season. It remains to be seen whether or not the Grizzlies will get there but so far, so good.
Morant is one of the frontrunners for the Rookie Of The Year trophy although if you had asked anyone about a month ago, it would have been clear that Morant should win. Now, Morant is facing stiff competition from Zion Williamson who has been brilliant in his first 15 games. There seems to be a real debate as to who should win the award but according to Omari Sankofa of The Athletic, Morant couldn't care less.
“I honestly don’t care about Rookie of the Year. They can give that to who they want," Morant said. This answer is certainly open for interpretation in the sense that he could either really not care, or he would rather focus on something else because, in actuality, it's bothering him. Regardless of what his reason for feeling this way is, there is no doubt he will most likely come away with the ROTY trophy, especially if his team makes the postseason.
Who do you think should get rookie of the year? Let us know in the comments, below.
Steph Curry Has Been Assigned To The G-League
Every player has their time.
Many of you reading this probably saw the headline and wondered what kind of clickbait was about to be bestowed upon you. Here is the thing, everything about the headline is factually correct. So please be kind in the comments section. With that being said, let's get into it, shall we?
If you've been paying attention to the NBA this season, you know that the Golden State Warriors have been terrible, most notably because they've been missing key players like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Curry has been out with a broken hand and is expected to return to the lineup very soon. In preparation for this, Curry has been sent down to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G-League, according to reporter Logan Murdock.
Before you get all bent out of shape, this kind of assignment is actually standard procedure. When a player is about to come back from an injury, they are sent to the G-League affiliate to get some high-level reps in before coming right back to the NBA. It's safe to assume that Curry won't play a single game with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
While it may just be a formality, there is no denying just how funny it is to see Curry on a G-League team.
