NBA fans are gearing up for an exciting stretch of action as some of the league's best players prepare to embark on a journey to Chicago for this year's All-Star game. There will be plenty of fun festivities including the skills competition and the game itself. Just last night, the starters for the Western and Eastern Conference were revealed. In the West, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Luka Doncic will lead the way while out East, Trae Young, Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakim, Kemba Walker, and Giannis Antetokoumpo were selected.
While these names are all very deserving, there was one omission in the Eastern Conference that had some fans fuming. Yes, that's right, none other than Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat was snubbed from the game. Butler has led his Heat team to a respectable record and fans figured he would be a lock as a starter. When news broke that he wouldn't start, fans took to Twitter in droves where they condemned the decision.
Most of the vitriol is being sent in the direction of Trae Young who is playing on one of the worst teams in the entire league. The selection isn't Young's fault but that hasn't stopped fans from being upset. Butler has been a fan-favorite this year and the fact he wasn't included has people very upset.
Regardless, there is still a chance he makes the team so fans shouldn't get too upset so soon.
Tom Brady Sends Friendly Parting Shots At Eli Manning, Eli Responds
Brady had to go and make a joke.
Today, Eli Manning addressed the media for the first time since it was revealed that he would be retiring from football. The New York Giants legend won two Super Bowls with the team and both of them were against none other than Tom Brady. Brady and Manning have built up quite the rivalry over the years and now, Brady is the last one standing with six Super Bowls to his name.
This morning, Brady took to Twitter where he sent some shots at Manning, saying "Congratulations on your retirement, and a great career Eli! Not going to lie though, I wish you hadn’t won any Super Bowls." Of course, Brady was just joking although Manning made sure to strike back.
"I’ve been around Tom. I know how competitive he is. We joke around about this a little bit ... But it’s not real funny to him," Manning said.
During today's press conference, it was revealed that Manning would have his jersey retired. He will also be made a part of the Giants' ring of honor. Now, all Manning has to wait on is whether or not he will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of fame. With two Super Bowls to his name, he definitely has a good case.
Richard Sherman Reveals If He Would Participate In White House Visit
Sherman has been very opinionated when it comes to politics.
Richard Sherman and the San Francisco 49ers will be in Miami next week as they look to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54. Whoever wins will be given the Lombardi Trophy as every single winning player will have their name etched into history. This is one of the most intriguing matchups we have seen in a while and fans can’t wait to see how it goes down. Having said that, whoever wins will have a huge choice to make as it pertains to going to the White House to meet the President.
White House visits are customary for championship teams, especially when it comes to football. President Donald Trump has had a tumultuous relationship with the league and many players have taken notice. Recently, Sherman was asked by Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle whether or not he would want to go meet Trump. As you can imagine, Sherman wasn’t thrilled by the idea.

“I haven’t thought about it. We’ve got a long way between now and then, but I doubt it,” Sherman said. One of Sherman’s teammates, Nick Bosa, is known as a big Trump supporter so it will be interesting to see what kind of conflict arises should Sherman decide not to go to the White House. Of course, none of this matters if the 49ers lose.

Saints Accused Of Helping Catholic Church Cover Up Sexual Abuse: Report
Saints owner Gayle Benson is a devout Catholic.
Disturbing news is coming out of the NFL today as the Associated Press is reporting that the New Orleans Saints are going to court to keep private e-mails from going public. What makes these private e-mails so disturbing is the fact that they are in connection with New Orleans’ Roman Catholic archdiocese which has been accused of numerous sexual abuse scandals. According to the report, team executives allegedly helped the archdiocese in covering up some of the crimes while providing public relations aid.
“Obviously, the Saints should not be in the business of assisting the Archdiocese, and the Saints’ public relations team is not in the business of managing the public relations of criminals engaged in pedophilia,” attorneys said. “The Saints realize that if the documents at issue are made public, this professional sports organization also will be smearing itself.”

The archdiocese is also looking to keep these e-mails private. Saints officials have called these claims “outrageous” and are adamant they never helped the church in such a way. The team’s owner, Gayle Benson, is known as a devout Catholic and has ties to the church. In addition, it has been said that the e-mails sent to the church have NFL.com domains.
As of right now, the NFL has yet to comment on the case. In the coming weeks, the court will hear arguments over whether or not these documents should be released for public consumption. Should these e-mails be released, the Saints could be in a whole heap of trouble.
Stay tuned for updates as we will be sure to bring them to you.
Zion Williamson Has Perfect Response To Criticism About His Weight
"Some people try to look at it as a weakness, but I look at it as a blessing."
Zion Williamson is one of the most unique athletes on the planet - a combination of size, strength, athleticism and agility with the ability to go 4-for-4 from three during crunch time, as we witnessed in his NBA debut. At 285 pounds, Williamson is among the top three heaviest players currently in the NBA and some pundits seem to think he should cut back on the gumbo if he wants to last in the league.
Zion, however, sees his one-of-a-kind frame as nothing more than an advantage.
Zion's body was a topic of discussion during his first NBA game on Wednesday night, as ESPN's Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson expressed concerns about the 19-year old's weight gain. Despite the criticism, and a slow start, the No. 1 overall pick shined in his debut, scoring 17 straight points for New Orleans in the fourth quarter. In just 18 minutes of action, Williamson finished with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
During a recent interview on "The Woj Pod" with ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans rookie shared his thoughts about the weight criticism.
“There’s really no comparison to me. I try to add every level to my game,” said Williamson. “My body is just built different. Some people try to look at it as a weakness, but I look at it as a blessing.
“People aren’t used to guarding this kind of size and I’m able to add a little finesse to my game so it has flavor and I’m a playmaker so I can create for my teammates and when I have to finish I’m gonna finish.”
Fans across the country will get another look at the 19-year old phenom on Sunday, as the Pelicans host the Boston Celtics in a game airing on ESPN at 6pm ET.
Eli Manning Breaks Silence On Retirement, Will Have Number Retired
Eli is a New York legend.
Eli Manning won two Super Bowls throughout his career with the New York Giants although, over the past few seasons, he has struggled immensely on the field. After being replaced by rookie Daniel Jones this past season, Manning decided it was time for him to hang up his cleats. Earlier this week, it was reported that Manning would be retiring from football and fans were quite upset about it, even if it's ultimately for the best.
Today, Manning broke his silence on retirement and spoke to the media about his storied career. "From the very first moment, I did it my way. I couldn't be someone other than who I am," Manning said.
In a move that will delight many, it has been revealed that Manning will have his jersey number retired. He will also be inducted into the Giants' ring of honor next season. Regardless of how you may feel about his statistics, Manning helped the team win two titles against arguably the best dynasty of all-time: the New England Patriots.
Now, all that's left for Manning is his induction into the Hall of Fame although whether or not that happens remains to be seen. Some believe he deserves a spot in Canton while others think his stats were too pedestrian to be considered.

Peyton Manning Reacts To Eli’s Recent Retirement Announcement
Peyton experienced retirement a few short years ago.
Eli Manning recently revealed that he would be retiring from football after 16 seasons in the league. While his statistics were pretty average, Manning was able to win two Super Bowls against the dynasty that was Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots. Fans are already debating whether or not he is a Hall Of Fame and so far, people are split.
Manning’s older brother, Peyton, is a legend of the game and retired after winning his second Super Bowl back in 2016. Now that Eli is on his way out of the game, Peyton is giving his thoughts on his brother’s retirement. As you can imagine, Peyton is incredibly supportive of his little bro.

“I’m happy for Eli, because I know he’s at peace and he put a lot of time and thought into this decision,” Manning said according to the Denver Broncos Website. “But I am sad, because I won’t get to see him play anymore. And after my dad and Dan Marino, Eli really was my favorite player. So I have to find a new one. But for really 19 years going back to his three years at Ole Miss, 16 years in the NFL, I have enjoyed watching him play, watching him compete, watching him grow into a man. It’s been a heck of a run.”

LeBron James Hilariously Shades Anthony Davis Over All-Star Draft
The All-Star draft is about to be entertaining.
LeBron James has been tasked with being an All-Star captain this season and fans are excited for the draft which will take place prior to the game. Essentially, LeBron and Giannis Antetokounmpo will go head-to-head and draft players for their respective teams. Last year's draft was a lot of fun and featured some playful trash-talking between the two players. Heading into the 2020 NBA All-Star game, we expect even more of that.
The starters for the game have been named and as you can imagine, Anthony Davis is one of those starters. After defeating the Brooklyn Nets last night, LeBron was asked whether or not he would be picking Davis in the draft. Of course, LeBron turned it into a bit of a joke as he said "I don't know if I like him like that."
LeBron picked AD first last season which ultimately led to speculation that Davis might come to the Lakers. Eventually, that speculation became a reality and now, the Lakers are first place in the Western Conference. If Giannis is smart, he will snag AD away from LeBron in order to create an unstoppable frontcourt. Regardless, we're going to have to wait and see what LeBron chooses to do.
Who do you think LeBron should draft onto his All-Star team?
Khabib Nurmagomedov Trolls Conor McGregor Ahead Of Title Defense
Khabib still taking jabs at McGregor with Ferguson fight looming.
UFC's undefeated Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has one of the toughest tasks of his career in front of him, as he is set to defend his title against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 in April. That said, Khabib still has Conor McGregor on his mind.
The Eagle took to twitter on Friday to share three separate photos, each showing McGregor being submitted at various weight classes. The jab is surely a response to McGregor's old "145. 155. 170" tweet, in which he shared three photos of his hand being raised in the Featherweight, Lightweight and Welterweight divisions.
UFC President Dana White recently explained that he is targeting a Khabib vs Conor title rematch for later this year, but Khabib will have to get through Ferguson first.
"We're looking at Hagler-Hearns," White said, per ESPN. "We're looking at like Ali-Foreman, Ali-Frazier. This is a massive fight with global appeal. It's the fight you make, it's the fight that makes sense. It's for the 155-pound title.
"If Conor and Masvidal fight, neither one of them even has a title. Although Conor does want his BMF title. He doesn't have a world championship. So Khabib is the fight to make. It's huge for Khabib's legacy, too. If he beat Conor McGregor, then he beats Tony Ferguson, then he beats Conor McGregor again, I mean this is how this kid, when he retires, he's 30-something-and-oh and he's beaten all of the best."
Assuming Khabib defeats Ferguson, and that's no guarantee, White believes the McGregor-Khabib rematch could set a UFC record for most pay-per-view buys, and even rival the McGregor-Mayweather boxing match in terms of profit. Click here to see some other potential dream bouts for 2020.
LeBron James Reacts To Meeting Bill Clinton After Lakers-Nets Game
"It’s just surreal.”
The stars were out at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Thursday night, as LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers did battle with Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets. Among those seated courtside for the Lakers' lone trip to BK this year was none other than Bill Clinton, who met with LeBron, Anthony Davis and others following L.A.'s 128-113 victory.

After the win, LeBron explained that it's still surreal to be able to chat with the former President so casually.
“Between him and Barack (Obama), my presidents, guys that I’ve just admired, when Bill was in office and obviously when Barack in office,” James said, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports. “To be able to have a personal relationship with Barack and being able to go up to Bill and he knows me, it’s just surreal.”
“I know you all get sick and tired of hearing about the kid from Akron, you have no idea where I come from and the odds that were stacked up against me, to have moments where I can shake the President of the United States’ hand and be on a first-name basis, it’s crazy,” he added.
LeBron didn't disappoint in front of "his president" on Thursday night, as he notched yet another triple-double with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He is now just 18 points away from surpassing Kobe Bryant for third on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Up next for the Lakers is a road game in Philadelphia on Saturday night, which you can catch on ABC at 8:30pm ET.
