Superfans can be beneficial to artists as their undying support is just what an entertainer needs to catapult projects into the top of the charts, but some "Stans" can be destructive. After Usher said that Nicki Minaj was a "product" of Lil Kim, many of the Barbz dragged him on social media because they took his comment as an insult. Claudia Jordan discussed the topic on her Fox Soul talk show where she added that there wasn't anything wrong with the singer's remarks because Lil Kim was a pioneer. The Barbz then targeted Claudia and her family, as well.
Claudia Jordan took to Twitter to blast bullies who have sent intimidating messages to her family members. "WOW now the Barbz have gone too far," she wrote. "Threatening to 'BEAT HER' my 69 year old mother & now harassing my 15 year old niece? At the end of the day what will this accomplish but keep your karma bad & get you bought up on charges? WE stay protected-KNOW THIS. #OverATalkShowConvo smh."
Later she added, "So yall can justify trying to scare a little 15 year old black girl- like times aint challenging enough without you barbz being so ridiculous. I hope yall feel good about yourselves. But then again you have to be brainless & soul less to think that is cool or funny. Way to go!" Claudia's talk show guest, LisaRaye McCoy, also found herself to be a trending topic on Twitter yesterday after she stated that Nicki Minaj should "bow down" to Lil Kim. Doja Cat Reflects On Facing Barrage Of Nicki Minaj Stans
After facing the wrath from a murder of Nicki Minaj-Stanning Barbz, Doja Cat took to Beats 1 to clear the air about the misunderstanding gone awry.
Though Doja Cat has seemingly become a master of social media, her relationship with it feels somewhat masochistic at times. As she tells Zane Lowe, she believes Twitter to be “a cesspool and the worst thing that ever was created,” a conclusion no doubt fueled by a recent scuffle she found herself inadvertently thrust into. You may recall last week when an army of Barbz picked up their pitchforks and deemed it high time to cancel Doja’s name, all because of a single misunderstanding gone awry.
Today, Doja took some time to chop it up with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, where she explained her side of the story. “Okay, so there’s someone who’s verified on Twitter and they’re not even a stan account or anything,” she explains. “They’re just some random guy who was just, he saw this art that someone drew of me, Nicki and Meg, in that order. So Nicki was in the middle and it was a Rolling Stone cover, but Nicki was in the middle, rightfully so. Meg was on the right and I was on the left and this guy commented, “I’d like to see Doja in the middle.”

After his comment promoted major backlash from a gaggle of offended Barbz, Doja felt compelled to step in and defend him from the increasingly vitriolic cyberbullies. “I say, “Dude, stop responding to these people,” she continues. “They’re scum. They’re so awful. Stop talking to them. They have nothing good to say to you or anybody else.” So anyway, I’m standing up for this guy and then I’m just getting upset with everybody. And then I said, “These people are idiots. They’re children, they’re scum.” Because they were, those five people are scum. They suck. They literally suck. They don’t even know who they are.”
“And basically, so then people started spinning it, of course, because that’s the internet,” explains Doja. “They start spinning it that I’m talking about every single person who likes Nicki Minaj when they don’t even know I’m the biggest Nicki Minaj fan. So they’re stupid. They don’t even know me. So they’re saying things that they have no idea what they’re talking about. But that’s basically how that panned out.”

Nicki Minaj Stans Seek To Cancel Doja Cat With Twitter Tirade
Nicki Minaj's Barbz relentlessly tried to get Doja Cat canceled and it didn't work.
Doja Cat has been rising up the ranks as far as artists go, these days. Her quirky personality has made her a favorite amongst fans and when you mix this with her good music, you get a very likable entertainer. Of course, because she is a female artist, fans are quick to compare her to other women in hip-hop, which isn't always fair.
Recently, a drawing was made of Doja, Nicki Minaj, and Megan Thee Stallion on a Rolling Stone cover together. This drawing drew the ire of Barbz who didn't take too kindly to Doja Cat's inclusion. At one point, a Doja Cat fan responded to one of the Barbz which led Doja Cat to say "Stop responding to them they’re twitter gangsters and they have nothing kind to say about you or anyone. they live and breathe being fuckin immature."
Of course, Nicki's stans were livid over this whole thing and immediately started the hashtag, "DojaCatIsOverParty." The strength of the Barbz is unmatched as the hashtag eventually began trending on Twitter. Doja Cat's fans were right there to put a stop to it though, as they lamented over the fact that the artist was being canceled for absolutely no reason.
Eventually, the Barbz were overshadowed by Doja's fans who completely took the hashtag and used it as a means to stop Nicki stans and their gifs, in their tracks. Needless to say, cancel culture doesn't work so well when there isn't a cancelable offense to hit one with.
